This game literally took a quote "My eyes are bleeding but I don't care cause it's so cool to look at" to the fullest potential

This game is basically "what it feels if you OD'd on shitty crack, but rather than dying it gave you a permanent debuff".

I opened the video (it is from the best content creator), saw the first 30 seconds of the video, opened Steam, immediately bought the game. You are truly a blessed being, Verac 🙏

I just got into Mortal Sin, absolute blast. Definitely looks better when playing over videos of it.

I have studied animation/graphic design and worked with games for 6 years. This game looks beautiful, they have done an amazing work to make something unique which many strive for.

Regarding the video recording problems: Your GPU and / or CPU is *always* doing shortcuts to focus it's resources on what you, player, can see. So for example if something is deep black, it doesn't matter what flavor of black it really is if it going to look the same black to the player. Likewise you dont need that black to be in high definition, swap it out with low defintion black. So shortcut that data and save the details for use elsewhere in the screen or to save for file sizes. And most of the time, it works! It makes the color pop more and saves data. But this game isn't like most games. Those shortcuts dont work. Until you can somehow tell the game to use new shortcuts (which can only be done if someone makes the new shortcuts to begin with) the only thing you can do is tell the recording software to "Stop doing shortcuts. At all" by jacking that bitrate way, way up.

Okay, but to build on that grappler character. _Thrall_ He basically has 3 jumps, each higher than the last, while in the air, press your special ability to Bodyslam, knocking enemies off their feet with this shockwave if not outright gibbing them. However, pressing it while close to an airborne enemy displaced there your meaty mits or naturally flying to basically execute the Mother Of All Grabs. Introducing them to the pavement at terminal velocity, this is notably stronger because the bigger the enemy you _SLAM_ the more it enemies it turns into _JAM_ as you combine not only your bulk, but that of the enemy you introduce the floor to. Furthermore, most combos end in their absurd damage, or Ya-yeeting someone into the nearest wall/trap/bottomless pit. Creativity is key! Sure, you could curbstomp that deamon, but are you sure that there isn't a spike wall or hole you could cast them into? And the kick can nutshot, stunning them temporally (the attack is referred to as the "Blow of Chastity"). Which is improtant for _"Insult to Injury"_ a passive where damaging stunned enemies heals you. Also, The Thrall, like all members of the Order of Grab, has an absurdly high health pool, which is important, as you can only grab enemies who have less HP than you, dont think that means you can't kill enemies bigger than you. So long as bosses have minions, you have weapons. [Edit: Fixed some grammar errors]

This game popped up in my recommended the day it was released , and as someone who loves having their eyes fried, I don’t regret my purchase in any way. It’s only gotten better since day one and the updates are pretty consistent, the dev is clearly passionate - as he should be since he’s made a banger!

The artstyle reminds me of "BPM: Bullet Per Minute" another indie rogue-like FPS set in a medieval dungeon where you fight generic demons. Basically, if you are an indie dev and is using a bunch of assets from Unreal Engine marketplace, just slap a high contrast filter that makes your players eyes bleed so they won't notice that.
