FYI: The higher seed wins rule is not applied to the finals. They do extra time and penalties (no away rule either). You played your home games in the Azteca btw

@@pokezod7832its so top seeded teams in the regular season are rewarded for their consistency, so they get that tie breaker rule and the away leg at home. Not ideal, but having 2 playoffs a season means more money

@@briansalazar2632 Many central and american leagues adopted the system with two annual Play-Offs and Champions (Guatemala, El Salvador, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru...) - I honestly don't mind it. Let's see Tom navigate the Argentinian League/Cup System or - God forbit - the total clusterfuck that is the Uruguayan League

@@Danielalvarez-f8i I started watching last year, and I'm still thrown off by Penarol winning the semis to play the same club in the final where if Penarol won the first leg, it's over, but because Liverpool won the first leg they played a second leg.

The Tulsa thing gave me an idea - see if I can find a database that includes the USL, but as it is in real life, with no pro-rel. Win the CL with my local team, Pittsburgh Riverhounds, with the only way to even qualify being through the cup. (I've done this on a database with pro-rel, but as fun as it was, it basically turned into a normal save once we were promoted, where the money gap closed and eventually we were winning from a level playing field. It'd be interesting to essentially have to win from a position where you can't ever be equal to the teams you're beating)

Came here to say that. It's kinda cheesy and, yeah, a money grab by MLS and LigaMX. But it can also get you, in a few weeks and a few games, exactly what you're trying to grind out in months of league competition.

I feel your pain in Mexico. I actually bought 6 Columbian defenders, because a lot of the Mexican defenders are diminutive and lack defensive fortitude...well...at least in my save. I played 5 strikers in the midfield and forward positions and I started to win everything in Mexico...got lucky a few times, but I really enjoyed that save. I felt like I got one over FM and I was content with that.

Love to see you brings Moon back into your team. Reminds me when I was playing FM16 I always bring Kalbermarten (a regen) into my team no matter how he must in my starting eleven. A midfielder which I converted him to become a productive right winger similar playing style like your Moon. 😂 Man that was a great partnership between you and Moon.

So, so far you won the African cup with Ittihad Riadi Tanger of Morocco, the Asian one with Cerezo Osaka of Japan, and the North American one with Club América of Mexico. Again, I am hoping that for the South American leg of the challenge, you do it with the Argentine club Gimnasia La Plata. Did I mention they are the oldest football club still in activity in South America? They were created in the year 1887.

FYI, MLS is a bit broken in FM. The ai doesn’t understand the salary cap rules well, so in long saves they will slowly mess up all the special roster spots that are key to MLS. It results in teams basically being completely broken or unable to sign good players after 5 or so years.

As a brazilian, good luck trying to win the Libertadores, it´s a nightmare not just because the good teams in Brazil and Argentina (one could argue that Uruguay teams are also obnoxiously tideous), but also with the teams that play in the Andes Mountain Range, they´re really annoying

Please win the Copa Libertadores with Sport Club Corinthians Paulista a Brazillian Serie A club that won it in 2012 but now in real life that are in a very bad situation with 5 consecutive loses and they don't win a trophy since 2019. I would love to see you winning the Libertadores with them!

if you are going to Libertadores, please pick brazillian team Cruzeiro, they have won it 2 times in the 70's and 90's. They lost a final in 2009 to Estudiantes.. They were never relegated in the brazillian league, but in 2019, they got relegated because of internal financial problems, and then they stayed in the second division for 3 years! Ronaldo Nazario then purchased a part of the club, because it was his first club in Brazil, and then they have won the title and came back to the top division! It would be amazing to see they win it again!
