Jeremy Corbyn being elected Prime Minister would have been one of the greatest days of my life ( I have to defer to my wife and our wedding day as the greatest) but tragically for the country it did not happen due to the way he was egregiously undermined from various quarters. Jeremy winning in Islington North in the 2024 election will be brilliant for the constituency, democracy and the future of the left in Britain. No matter how much the red Tories might delude themselves, the left will never go away in Britain and millions will be willing Jeremy on to win on July 4th- it will be one of the greatest moments of the night! I wasn't engaged in politics and fell for the headline smears I read, I am ashamed. The way this man has been treated is disgraceful and still people can't see it. If all the politicians had 10% of this mans decency, the UK would be a wonderful place to live.

there are politicians, and then there are folk like corbyn. this man was born to help other people, an absolute gem. I'm relatively young, especially relative to the amount of time corbyn's served the people of islington. the amount of crap he's had to deal with from the british and worldwide press, and from cowards only interested in their own gains, is astounding, but he keeps on going. the country would be in a much better state had he won in 17 or 19

For the voters of Islington North, where I lived for over a decade, to keep Corbyn as their local MP requires no deep pondering. But ponder this: you are sending a message to every politician in the whole country: we will choose our own representatives. It’s OUR democracy. And I detect that Jeremy has even more fire in his belly now than at any time in the past.
