@@ghenulo Have you seen any opinion polls in the last two years? Or maybe heard about the election results? Labour are at around 45% overall, with around 55% support among younger voters. Jones and Corbyn are speaking to a small fringe. I respect them both, share their values and concerns, but just think they need to reconnect with reality a bit more. The reality is that the UK is a two-party system with FPTP - a system which has given a huge advantage to the Tories and made it very hard for the Labour to win elections. Labour has only ever won from the centre. That's why Corbyn's 2019 results were so weak, and that's why Starmer's chances in 6 weeks are looking much better. The biggest risk for him is that people like Corbyn or Jones will help the Tories by seeking revenge. Revenge is never a good motivation - being driven by revenge shows weakness of character.

Really? You left the UK for Berlin… he supported Brexit… seems like a fairly significant difference of opinion there, but you’d vote for him? Easy to say you’d vote for home when you don’t live here. Jeremy Corbyn’s problem is he only cares about Jeremy Corbyn. He had his turn as leader and it didn’t work out. That’s not Starmer’s, or anyone else’s fault, unless you’re implying Starmer fixed it. Corbyn won’t represent the party - just like Galloway. It’s got to be all their way or no way at all. The fact that you, and others, are making these naive statements, when they don’t make a blind bit of difference is what worries me that this naivety might leave us with the Tories still in a position of power. Corbyn isn’t principles, he’s selfish, stubborn and, by his own statements, a supporter of terrorists. If that’s your thing then have at it. 🙄

@@FahadAyaz And did that surprise you? Every new leader of Labour is attacked and if you are left as well the attacks will be harder. If McDonnell or Thornberry had been leader they would have handled it better. He is absolutely correct about reclaiming public utilities from the private sector. The primary goal of the private is to make profit for themselves. The cost of every public utility and service to the taxpayer, has risen exponentially since they were privatised. This is not a result of provisional costings, restructuring, innovation, research and development or wages. We had all those things when they were public, and there were never, consistently, exploding price hikes and deteriorating services like there is now. Privatisation of the public sector was a short sighted, short term money grab, which the public have been paying for ever since.
@cpcnw
@cpcnw Месяц назад
Exactly and a Corbyn led Labour would of sought to reverse the above. The rich bastards will never easily give up their wealth. The general public have been very slow to wake up to how all this works. They get poorer, their services get cut - and a minority of shareholders and private companies get very rich, whilst delivering worsening services at increasing costs to the taxpayer.
