Great vid great job! I’m retired from the job and although not a motor cop I rode with some motor cops who taught me a lot. This is why I really like your channel. You put yourself out there. Well done!!!
That was freaking great! I’ve been watching your progress and so happy that you did it! Now that you’ve completed three days, you have 7 more to go. Then, monthly training and annual qualifications. Are you up for the task? “Sparkles”
My favorite part "I feel so American right now." This video captures the spirit of adventure and freedom that riding gives all while demonstrating the discipline and responsibility that is required to fully appreciate that Freedom. Well done.
I am a retired Motor Officer, but have been riding since I was 15 in 1965. I had mistakingly assumed that I was in the top tier of motorcyclists. . .UNTIL I took the Motorcycle Officer Course in Chattanooga, some years ago. In the past I attended classes for Racers, even riding at Daytona Motor Speedway. I live near Cherohala Skyway and frequently ride through Deal's Gap. But when I took the Motorcycle Officers Course it didn't take long to dawn on me how poorly I actually was. It was, without a doubt, the hardest training I have ever had. Every day, I was physically wrecked and emotionally drained. I dropped my Road King more in those two weeks than I ever had in all the years I have riding. Congrads Doodle, you are truly a Champion!
As a retired cop and a follower since you did videos out of your car, this is my favorite video yet! You make us proud! You need to sign up and become a police traffic officer! You’d be awesome! I would come to your graduation!
@motoknivesandgunsbyjt , thanks for your service. I'm also a retired officer. I can not begin to describe how PROUD this video makes me on so many different levels!!! She has a forever subscriber in me
Doodle, do you realize how much you are helping the motorcycling community? You encourage nonriders to get behind the handlebars and inspire new riders to ride better and explore. You are even breathing new life into old riders. Just reading the comments below vindicates what I believe. May you never get bored with what you are doing. You are fantastic. Keep up the great work. I hope one day our paths will cross out on the open road, and we can share a coffee..or tea. With this heat, ice water will be fine. Take care and keep the shiny side up.
You are fearless, Doodle. After over 50 years of riding including dirt riding, road racing and trackday riding, I realized that everything I ever learned about riding was focused on how to go fast which I was pretty good at. Three years ago, after dropping my Ducati more times than I care to admit, I realized that I was terrible at low-speed riding. I always attributed dropping my bike to the fact that I'm only 5'5" and have a 28-inch inseam. I then started researching police training and other websites that focus on low-speed skills. For the last 3 years, I've been going to a nearby parking lot and practicing, and have improved my low-speed skills significantly but still have a long ways to go. This has become even more important since purchasing my first adventure bike (like you I have a Triumph Tiger 900 GT Pro). I really respect your willingness to push your limits and try all sorts of new things. I can only hope to achieve your low-speed skills, and you've inspired me to practicing.
A cop for 36 years. Last 15 on motor. Everyday is a skill test constantly learning ,,, & teaching. Keep up the good work Doodle remember it's a perishable skill,,, like shooting a weapon.
OUTSTANDING 👏🏽 I’m a retired MotorCop, and trained new motors. One of the proudest moments in my career was receiving my Certification from CHP Motorcycle Academy. I applauded you at the end of your video. Your joy gave me goosebumps. Ride On🤙🏾
@@fasfandidn’t understand the lean forward thing. Looked like pushing one side of the handlebars forward to make a turn? Biggest thing I ever learned is look where you want to go. Not at the obstacle you want to avoid
@@pitchforkpeasant6219 I wonder if leaning forward pushes your center of gravity forward and helps you turn the bars and rotate further. Youre right though... head and eyes up. Look where you WANT to go. I remember one time it definitely saved me. I went into a corner a bit faster than I thought I was and started going wide. I caught myself fixate on the guardrail thinking I was going under it or over it. I snapped out of it and remembered look where you want to go. Turned my eyes back down the road and sure enough.. the bike leaned more and went on around the corner and down the road. I know if I had stayed looking at the rail I'd have hit it.
from watching your first videos where you felt that it was normal to drop your bike at junctions, to seeing you now doing what other people can only dream about. Those riding skills are insane. You go girl!
Doodle, I started watching your channel and a few others in 2020, which re-energize me into riding again. More importantly watching you challenge yourself as a rider and as a creator has just been remarkable. Your videos, content explanations, and history is beyond belief. What you have been providing for your viewers has been nothing more than perfection. I suspect that in the near future, you will be contacted by a larger corporation to represent them in some means because you are good at what you’re doing. You touch our hearts with your creations and ambition. Keep doing what you have and best wishes to you!
I can see that you learned a lot from Jerry Palladino! Endless respect from me, for all the 2-wheel challenges that you've faced head-on, and overcome. Plus, because of you, I have BrakeFree lights on all my helmets! Great going!
doodle-🎉🎉🎉 you finally got the police basic motor course!! I’m so happy to see that! So, did anyone issue you your motor traffic wings? If not, I’ve my original Pin that I would be honored to send to you! You have more so earned them!!
When I took Lock and Lean 101, I dropped their HD 22-times in the first hour! That course changed my relationship with the bike, the road, and everything on the road.
Congrats on passing the course! Your hard work and dedication really paid off! You definitely inspired me as a new rider over the past several months to never become stagnant in my own riding skills!
You made me feel things with this video. I got my license a few months ago by now. I am trying out different bikes now and then, rented one for a day and I long for the moment I finally have one in my own garage and I can hop on whenever I like. But there's also a lot of moments I feel doubt in my own skills. In this video you showed me (again) how amazing it is to challenge yourself, learn new things, get out there and do what you want to do. I am proud of you, my heart was warmed by the support you let shimmer through by the other people cheering you on, and you got me new hope and happiness for my own motor adventure. Keep it up
I have been watching your content for a long time. I can't believe how much you have changed! You really deserve a ton of credit for taking and passing this class. Incredible job! I like the notion of doing this course, but I most likely never will because I can't afford to be dropping my bike like that. But I still hit the parking lot and practice on a regular basis. Again, massive respect to you, Doodle. You have made us proud!
A moto training course is hard and challenging. But, wow! Look at you go. You must be so proud of your achievement. Definitely an honor. Doodle, you rock. An inspiration to us women and men. Congrats!
Congratulations on graduating this class! I'm a new rider and find your videos inspiring and helpful. I work on slow u-turns and will now use the 'lean forward' to aid in stability (through my mountain biking experience, I find gripping my tank with my knees helpful in tight turns.) Because of your videos, I own a Brake Free and use it every ride and have had many drivers thank me for wearing it as it helps them know what I am doing with my momentum. Thank you and keep on, keeping on!
Congrats and well done, Doodle! Been watching for a few years now and all your practice leading up to this course was great to watch. Also bought a Brake Free because of your channel awhile back and love it.
I am not really sure what i expected when i started watching this video, but i must admit i have really learned so much about the passion that belongs to this select group of people out there. Doodle, you did an amazing job at both displaying the path you had to go through to learn to actually trust yourself enough with this enormous piece of machinery - but also about those just normal people that police officers are, who simply share a passion for what they do. Kudos!
I have followed you and I know this has been a passion of yours to go thru the police officers riding course. I am glad to see you did well and now onto your next goal.
Oh man I’ve been waitin for this video since I found you last year! Great job and awesome shooting range I bet that was so much fun getting to try out some sweet freedom sticks!!! 😎🤘🏼🇺🇸❤️
"I feel so American right now!" when you were shooting. Girl, you showed us you're all American when you got on your bike. Kudos for you. Enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.
It's very impressive that you even took on that intensive and difficult training. I did the career in a caged vehicle, but have ridden "off-duty" two wheels for decades. Had my department gone to the BMW F1250gs', I would have jumped at that opportunity. Again, congrats.....
OUTSTANDING young lady. Congratulations! You are truly a great rider and don't let anyone (or even that little voice of doubt in your head) tell you different, ever. Keep up the great video's and riding.. Thx
Such a great video. You’re proving that everyone can become a better rider with practice. This video was edited to perfection and very inspiring for all of us riders. Thank you!!
Ben is awesome. I’ve trained with him at his original school in IL. I, like you have taken tons of courses and I learned more from him than any other class I’ve ever taken before.
Doodle you are amazing! I have done very simple versions of this and for anyone that's considering it , go for it! It is extremely humbling and extremely helpful
Doodle, you rock! So much respect for your true desire to advance your skills and be willing to share your fears and challenge yourself. You are an inspiration to others.
Congratulations Doodle! I love all the support you have here. You certainly deserve it! Great video. Great work ethic. I wish I could ride nearly as good as you. 😊
Good on ya girl! I've been on two wheels since my 16th birthday, 53 years ago, and while some of those drills would be second nature I'm not so sure I could handle others. Well done!
You da ‘you know what’, Doodle! You taking charge of that group of riders made me tear up! Especially after you doubted yourself. Go girl! Can’t wait to meet you one day.
I’m motivated by you because you have humility. A lot of channels are all about “look what I can do, it’s easy” but it’s clear with you that some things are hard and can sometimes be scary - something that we’ve all felt, and if we want to get better should challenge ourselves to feel again.
Awesome accomplishment Doodle. Also great video and public awareness. The iron cross is my worst nightmare but was great training. Live, ride & learn. Tks
First off I have nothing more than the up most respect for ALL LEO's, the things they do to help protect us but the things they see and assist with at bad traffic accidents, gang wars, domestic violence calls, etc. BUT I have a lot of respect for you Doodle!!!! You've got a LOT of grit and determination that sets you apart from most if not all of the other YT posters. Congrats on graduating the class and Thank You for a outstanding video!!!! Be Blessed and safe!!!!!
Doodle: You were made Leader because you've proven yourself. If little lady can handle that big bike, then the fellows should feel confident that they could follow you. Good job, Ma'am! You are the most serious rider I've ever heard of. Keep it up, and keep it upright. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us. You're making riders better.
Huge respect for your bravery to put yourself out there, pushing yourself far out of your comfort zone and no doubt growing a lot as a result! Inspirational.
This awesome. Super impressive watching cops sling those bikes around and so cool seeing her learn how to do it. Honestly think being a motorcycle cop would be awesome. Know they sometimes get a bad rap but everyone I’ve met has been really cool and love motorcycles.
Been watching your videos for a year. They encouraged me to practice my slow speed drills all this summer. Waiting to get bike out of shop so I can do more.
WTG little Lady !!!! Awesome !!! love watching your Drive to be better.........i'm 65 in Sept and riding since i was 5 but taking the Prorider classes and enjoying getting better and better, and i'm so thrilled for you, been following you back when you 1st started.........again WTG !!!
Hello Doodle! Love your enthusiasm and the way you share your experiences. I practice U-turns, emergency braking and slow speed maneuvers, though not as much as you. You mentioned that you were worried about dropping your bike because you had hurt your foot. I have dropped my bike, but never came close to catching my foot so I wondered about that. Yesterday I went and practiced u-turns and for the first time this year, dropped my bike and caught my foot underneath. Damm it hurts! It’s still tender today. Glad I always wear boots and proper gear. Thank you for your posts! Take care!
So awesome. I love how Ben spoke about your posture in making tight turns. It’s like leaning in and throwing a jab. Such a great visual. You did so well- congrats!
Doodle, you rock... so much fun as well. Love your posts. So proud of you... you did it! Fun to hear your girly squeals... these guys enjoyed your being there.
Thank you for sharing this adventure. I am definitely putting this on my training list. Congratulations on passing and soak in all that you learned. don't forget to ice those muscles!!!
You picked up a 450 heavy bike with a smile and passes this challenging with flying colors - you are amazing and quite special. Your hard work paid off 😃
What an amazing accomplishment. I've been watching you since day one and to see you come this far is simply amazing. Your skillset and confidence knows no bounds. Congratulations Doodle
I've been following you for years and I think this is your best video so far. The officers truly respect your love of motorcycles and learning. Thank you!
Fantastic work as always, it was like watching a documentary - really great to watch. I have a Tiger 900 GT Pro myself and in the UK looking to improve my skillset! Always great watching your content
