So I'm looking back on this and being amazed at how far Ember has come since waking up to the world again and it makes me so happy inside. I know you're not really into horse racing that much, but I have looked into Ember's bloodlines and can give you an insight; His great-grandsire is Mr Prospector, who is one of the biggest names in bloodlines to the point he named "the sire of sires", he retired to stud 1975 and his impact on racing is still felt today. Branching into the dam's (mother's) side, Mr Prospector's damsire/grandsire (Ember's great grandsire) is Nashua who was sired by the might >>> Nasrullah

I love the name Ember for that colour of horse . Glad you're trying to put weight on him , unlike some cultures that seem to want to have them with their ribs sticking out . They're naturally slender but they don't need to look starved.
He seems like a little lovely horse. Can definitely see he isn’t 100% happy pony yet but cannot wait until he’s made that conversion. He’s very lucky to have landed with you and Justine etc etc . Excited to follow his eventing journey
he seems like a horse that needs to be loved and feel like he is a forever horse, he needs to have security in life, you have done a good thing giving him this chance. I also get the feeling he thinks a lot and with the right connection he will look after you, very handsome little guy although he gives the impression that he is bigger than he really is. I wish you both success in the future.
He moves beautifully, I'm excited to see how he does going forward! It's good to hear that his former owners found him another home when he ended up not caring for racing, and it's wonderful that Justine took him in, and worked with him to get him into better shape physically, and mentally. He seems to be willing, based upon the little bit we've seen, so far. I'm really looking forward to seeing how things progress between the two of you!!

He is a very handsome boy he is an unusual choice for you but he looks like a lot of fun but you do not look to big on him I am really happy to follow Ember’s and your journey may you have lot’s of fun with him ❤️
Congratulations on Ember’s addition to your string. He looks very sweet and can’t wait to see how you grow together. Thoroughbreds are fantastic horses. One of the best horses I’ve ever owned was an ex-racehorse. He was the sweetest natured guy and would try his best at anything asked of him.
Wow Lucy! I don’t normally like TBs but he is MEGA. His hind leg !!! Sounds like he is progressing really fast. Even though he is small you don’t look big on him and ride his beautifully. He has come a long way in a short time by the looks of things. Imagine where you will be in a year 😊🌟 Really excited for your future and to see where you are in a year ❤️
“Don’t normally like TBs?!” Those are fighting words!!😏😂 This gem of a guy, is proof that you can’t judge all Thoroughbreds the same. Never have I encountered a breed that comes in such an assortment of personalities. From crazy to calm. Also, the “TRY” they have within them, is unmatched. They give you their absolute ALL and then some.💗

Oooh you can't beat an ex racer! I learnt to ride on them, then had a break (kids, life etc) and bought my very own one two years ago. He's the soppiest, friendliest horse ever and loves learning tricks. And is beautiful to ride :) Have fun with Ember. Justine is amazing!!

I often say the height of the horse really doesn’t matter as long as it has the heart, willingness to learn and ability that does. Edit: I haven’t finished watching the video yet but my I have just noticed that my mum has a photo of her on her 15.1 pocket rocket jumping the same/similar jump from Blenheim that has a large ditch in front and a brush fence behind!
Ember is exactly how Justine described him: doesn't seem like much in the field, but then you ride him and WOW!!! He is a stunning mover and seems to have a ton of potential for jumping. I'm super excited to see what you do with him.
Loved this vlog so much. I own and ride a 15hh mare and I'm close to 6ft tall. My girly is a power house and her height certainly hasn't ever stopped her being able to compete/try out multiple disciplines with hardly any effort. Their happiness in themselves and their environment is the catalyst. Looking forward to seeing more of your red head shorty ❤️❤️
Wow I remember seeing this boy advertised on the Acehorse page where he was so nappy in the school and wondering where he would end up! I've just sold my boy who I had from Kate due to having two young children and he was the kindest, loveliest boy, it's still very raw for me so seeing another ex racer from the same place has made me smile. So nice to see him having a second chance and loving life again! Good luck with him! X
He is absolutely gorgeous!! My ex racer was very introverted when I got her, but after time and lots of turnout with other horses she is now the best horse I have (also a redhead). TBs have a great attitude towards learning. He is going to be such fun, congratulations on finding him!
Wonderful, love him and his story 💗 I've had 2 wonderful OTTBs in my life, now my grown daughter just rescued her first from a US k*ll pen, a lovely 4 year old mare who last raced only 2 months ago
Linseed nuggets Nd alpha oil. Is amazing! My nutrition plan I got told to stay clear from anything cereal based or any cereal in it as my wonderful 16.3hh ex racer has had ulcers and she said that cereal isn't good for them :(

Exciting, exciting news Lucy. He looks very handsome and such a gentleman. Like Justine mentioned it would of been great to see footage of him 6 weeks ago and see his progression. I love Justine. She reminds me of my wonderful riding instructor I had many years and ago 😁 She is a fabulous friend to have. Living in Cambridgeshire and if I had a horse I would love to ride with Justine and her hounds. It would be such an amazing ride. Thoroughbreds all the way! My ex racer is amazing and they turn into superb horses....ideal for eventing as their stamina is incredible! You will love it!

he definitely looks like he's woken up! :) The "pony" (15.3hh) that I can ride whenever I get the chance is a black fresian/boerperd(farmer's horse) and he switches off completely with too much arena time! I must admit, I'd give anything for a lesson or two with Justine lol Congrats hun, he looks amazing!!

Omg wow He is a pocket rocket! I bought a horse through Kate the wonderful Albi chestnut little pocket rocket Last year ! The hardest decision I had to sell as my mum was so ill and passed away 😔 I still can't believe life without her 💔 I will definitely be buying off kate when I'm ready. So looking forward to seeing your progress with Ember X
He is gorgeous i Love his spring and quirkiness, i love his ugly side that becomes Beautiful, I had a small chestnut thoroughbred called Lymon aka Billou, that was a super lil compact chestnut horse he looked a bit arab and had so much power, this guy is gonna give you loads of courage he suits you, looks like he wants you to be off his back a bit to start with in canter, I remember Justine and bullet from my generation eventing, although ive been in France since 1987 19 yrs old i followed all the British eventing in horse and hound as one did in the old days.. Justine is great super trainer for you BravO LOve xxx
