So basically there's an easy explanation as to why they'd be so cheap. Getting the parts to do repairs is incredibly easy in China. That plus the low cost of labor means they're probably buying lots of junk consoles, fixing them with third party parts, and selling them on on sites like wish or AliExpress.

@@SyriakYT it's a total gamble because it depends on what parts they used to repair and what skill level the person was who repaired it. Sometimes you get a console with good third party parts and a clean repair job and sometimes you get one with janky parts and burn marks and loose plastic inside. None of the sellers gurentee quality and you can receive both levels of quality from the same seller in rapid succession.

4:51 Nintendo actually does use 3 different screens. They change which one will be in the Switch depending on which one is the cheapest to buy from each respective manufacturer. One is tinted blue, one is tinted yellow(warm), and if you're lucky, you'll get a perfectly neutral color tone. I can't believe I got the neutral screen!

You can find tons of cheap cheap consoles on second hand sites, especially on ones operating in poorer countries. I've seen switches for as little as 80, with everything included and console in a prestine condition. The sellers had a long reputation of selling legit stuff too.

@@icouldntcomeupwithaname Edited my comment for a correction. These sites I speak of are second hand sites, think of Facebook marketplace, they wont ship out of country. Sites may not be useful, here are some I shopped on: Mercari (Japan), KP (Serbia/Bosnia) and Willhalmen (Austria). I and people I know specifically shopped for electronics and had great experience. Theres a wide range of cheap physical games too! There are so many people who got consoles/games as gifts, but they didnt like them and now just want to get rid of them so they sell them for a cheap price. A lot of people think buying second hand will give you a bad product/time, which is untrue, there are many perfectly kept items for sale for way cheaper than buying them officially.

The DSi and 3DS systems were bad for varied screen "yellowing" I'm not sure I'd call it warmth or cool with those as it was definitely an irritating yellow tint. I have it on a few models.

the 3DS screens were especially crummy as darker colors would be overly blue then lighter colors would be overly yellow, especially if you had power saving on.

the difference you didn't notice $95 and no charger $144 and a charger seems there was a massive mark up for a charger :P but that explains the price difference if legit

I talked in the video about how it makes no sense for the $50 price difference to be just because of the chargers 😂 you can buy brand new OEM switch chargers for $30 or knock off for $15. The descriptions of the products also specified nothing about what was included, which was weird

@@jrob0021 It would however explain the price difference based on what switches are SUPPOSED to cost. You said at the beginning that a switch lite should cost 120. I think you just massively overpayed for the 144 one. I think the 96 dollar one was because of no charger, and getting one with a charger you should be paying around 120. That's how we sell them at the pawn shop I work at. 100 without, 120 with. EDIT: Also I now see the dead pixel in the top of the screen on the purple one.

The screen temperature is nothing new across the entire Switch lineup. I have 5 Switches and there are different screens. Even for datamine you can see that they used AUO or InnoLux. In the past was also JDI (The best of all)

On Romanian OLX you can actually find second hand lite switches for like, 100~ dollars with games usually. Even though it's second hand they're like brand new, out the box. I actually got my normal Switch for 165 dollars with games! I'm very surprised people think 100-200 is rare for a switch lite.

The price difference is #1 because of the charger #2 screen maybe? #3 there’s actually a dead pixel on the blue one on the top of the screen. Easily seeable in the dragons dogma part.

Vita being smaller makes it more portable, though the difference isn't huge, but I've also always been impressed by how long the battery on the Vita lasts, which is.... Definitely not true of the Switch. That said, Switch Minecraft is definitely better, and while there are many very good emulators on Vita, you're severely limited on storage space, since it doesn't support regular micro SD cards, and only having one set of actual shoulder buttons means you have to rely on the rear touch pad for systems expecting two sets. Ultimately comes down to what you personally prioritize, but for me I think the battery life difference is big enough to go for the Vita when traveling. Plus, since you already have a family Switch, having a Vita will expand the total number of games available since there are no proper Vita emulators yet, having that available is nice.

As someone who has both. I like my vita bc I modded it and downloaded all the games I want with custom themes. It’s perfect as a handheld emulator! If you do love switch games more, then go for the switch. The games are stills expensive tho so I lean more on the vita

I don't know if I'm lucky or not but last year I bought a grey nintendo switch lite with a charger and a game too (Super Mario tennis Aces) with a neutral tone screen and it all just cost me 80 euros and I still use it nowadays. Altough it's rare to see something doing the job it has to do on wish,ggs.

Is this not a normal price? The retro/used game store in my town sells switch lites for 99-120 depending on the condition. sometimes they'll run sales too and the switch lite dropped to 80-90 at one point.

I bought a supposed iPhone 4s and I got a 4 and the screen had that same problem it looked yellow and you could see light coming out of the sides of the screen almost as if the screen was coming off
