Even though I already have a 1985 500SEC Euro spec......I couldn't pass up this deal. They are becoming harder and harder to find in good running condition at a fair, low price. I've owned my fair share of C126 cars. This maybe is my 6th car. I've only owned two in really good condition. I have a dream and goal of building one to my own personal specs. I have a lot of ideas. I'm hoping one of these cars will be the perfect candidate. What do you think about this one?

I think by the time you sort it out you’re close to 560 territories It’s a euro version so never gonna be able to register in California due to emission tests I would pass on this one

It’s the rust you can’t see that kills you. That’s for sure. This example has definitely had a bit of a harsh life (those seats have turned pink from the sun… Pinkamino), but I’ll be curious to see what you plan on doing with two SEC’s. Having owned two SEC’s, I can tell you this… Open your checkbook if you can’t do it yourself. My bank account has been raped more times than I can count, lol!

Just finished the video. Three grand… Good deal. You basically could make that back selling the bumpers and headlights. What you likely have there is a good parts car.

Hope all is well. I don’t mean to hijack your post but other than air suspension issues how has your wife’s GL 450 treated you? I’m looking to buy a 2010 to 2012.

Hey! So her silver one is a 2009 GL550. We’ve had to replace a strut, radiator, AC compressor and there a slight oil leak. My other 2010 GL550 …..strut, radiator and ac compressor.
