Absolutely. It would have made the competition more interesting. I had a Lumia 620 and that phone just came with 512mb ram and 1ghz dual core processor. Android at that time with this configuration struggled to keep things smooth. Just imaging what windows phone would have been if it continued to mature like android. I really wish Microsoft comes up with a windows mobile kinda operating system and support for apk.. man, just want this dream come true
That is only reason I click on that video. Recently purchased old new stock of Lumia 950xl dual sim for 30 euros. Managed to update it to Win10 mobile. Good phone with ok-ish specs (for Win) but with zero apps unfortunately.
The FIRST person who can correctly identify all of the names of the devices that I got wrong will win a prize! I will send 3 phones (of your choosing) from this video to you, anywhere in the world. Good luck!
in order of appearance Samsung 16GB Galaxy Tab S Multi-Touch 10.5" ZTE ZMAX z970 Craig CMP646G LG Aristo Microsoft Nokia Lumia 640 LTE palm phone ( you got this one right :) ) ojiji fiery 5 zte access (you also got this one right) iPod touch (this one was right as well) Galaxy Tab 3 7.0" HTC Desire 510 lg g3 zte n817 Coolpad 3300A galaxy note 2 (got this right) iPhone 4 ( also correct) Apple iPod nano 6th generation Apple iPod shuffle 2GB - Green iPhone 6 Samsung galaxy s LG T375 Cookie Smart (I'm not sure if I got this one correct cause I could barely see it :(
If you are confused by all the "Craig" comments. There is a channel called Dank Pods on RU-vid and he gets a ton of garbage Craig MP3 players. It's a meme on his channel at this point
I definitely would like to see a follow up video. Maybe throw in a overview of the specs. A small summary of the story behind the idea of the tech. A walk thru of software at the time. Answer the question if any of the products could be used in 2022. I would watch that
Here, I found the right names for you, so you can remember them now: Samsung Galaxy Tablet Note ZTE ZMax (Closest match although wasn't it a different colour?) Craig CMP (Not sure) LG Aristo Nokia Lumia 640 Ojiji fiery 5 (Never heard of this one) Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 HTC Desire 510 LG G2 ZTE N817 Coolpad 3300A Apple iPod Nano and iPod shuffle (Did they have generations back then too?) LG Cookie Smart (Not sure about this too)
You won't believe how useable the s7 edge is with android 12 ROM, or even stock ROM at 720p, its still as smooth as a midrange phone which is unbelievable
Hi Mark greetings. Great video as always.😊 I think I got most ones correct. 1- Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (inches 10.1’) 2- ZTE ZMax 3- Craig mp3 player 4- LG Ariisto 5- Lumia 640 Windows phone 6- Palm trio 680 7- Ojji Nitro 8- ZTe blade max Z 9- HTC Desier 510 10- ZTE Ques N817 11- LG Leon 12- Coolpad AVial 3300a 13- iPod nano 6th generation 14- iPod shuffle 2nd generation 15- LG Motion 4g (Only added the names you didn’t get correct.) The last phone was not seen properly so not sure about the last lg phone. Hope I got most them right.😅😄✌️
My old Lumia 920 was way smoother and reliable than my HTC One M8 and iPhone 5 (both excellent phones). It's a shame that the chicken and egg conundrum stuck
One day I was randomly scrolling and luckly RU-vid recommended me one of your video. Now its been 1 year and soon Mark will touch 1M subs. I can see that happening soon in future..................
windows phone was an amazing mobile operating system, the ui was wonderful, it ran as smooth as oiled glass. but ofc microsoft blew it because the only thing that it really lacked was any form of app support. if it had better app support, i'm pretty sure it would still exist today.
no matter what phone u get in this box u have history. and gold mine for me. and btw this zte and lg phone i thing is g6 but maybe i am be wrong but u are not lose money !
$200 was not that good of a price? I could see $50 or $100. those ipod nano 6th gens are probably worth most of the lot. ebay phones are fun, I would not recycle them. they have a lot of history behind them. also sometimes collector value, and fw dumping which is more complicated. so please don’t recycle those! only things I would recycle are the bloated batteries. not even the sim cards, as some phones malfunction/wont work without them.
@@MarkSpurrell that was back when Android vs Apple was in it's heyday. Non-removable batteries were a crime to us Android folks back then lol Edit: to be fair I still carried around an iphone 4 as a secondary phone to play around with then
It was the Samsung Galaxy S Epic 4G. In the US each of the mobile carriers had their own variant of the Galaxy S and galaxy s II. Sprints Galaxy S had the keyboard like that. Had that phone. It was the Galaxy S.
iPod touch nano? Seriously? And you’re calling an iPod shuffle „nano“? Also, the thing you thought was an iPod touch (somehow) was an iPhone 4/4S, and the iPhone 4 you had was an iPhone 4S. And, the slide phone wasn’t a Samsung Galaxy S1
It was a Galaxy S1. It was the Galaxy S Epic 4G for Sprint. It was the Galaxy S for Sprint as each of the US carriers Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mo had their own variant of the Galaxy S (and Galaxy S II) and that was the Sprint Galaxy S I so do some research of you are gonna try and tell someone they are wrong. But you won’t and you will be to scared to reply.
Thanks for the video Lmao! I believe you can sell most of those for “parts only “ to repair shops. I just saw a video today on that. He sells locked phones mostly, but the same would apply. Good luck to you.
