I Bought Sleeping Dogs in 2020 

I wish more open world games would embrace the more arcadey elements of video games like Sleeping Dogs did. The combat, driving, and shooting were familiar, but simplified enough to be really fun. It really felt like the video game equivalent of a Jackie Chan movie: unrealistic, but a flashy and fun experience.

United Front Games is no more, so there won’t be a sequel, a crying shame. Grossly underrated game as was Mad Max.

The graphics were way too ahead for its time

The NPC interaction in this game was insane for a 3rd gen game. Civilians talking with unique dialogue, random people occasionally checking their phone, people reacting differently to everything you do.

I remember thinking Watch_Dogs was a sequel to sleeping dogs when I was younger until it came out.

I love this style of video, and the jokes are great. I will definitely keep watching you my guy.

Everytime I put this game down and pick it back up again, its so refreshing to slowly relearn all the little things this game did to make it perfect ! From interacting with your environment/ grappling (door bashes, trunk stuffing, sliding enemies clean over ledges 😂) to the sliding over obstacles/jumping out of car armed , into slow mo stranglehold style shootouts.... Even just the carjack feature alone was sick enough to make me happy lol. And then all the fun things to do all over the map.. for a game like this to have better side things to do than some of these open world games coming out now, shows what a cut above the competition sleeping dogs really was. Would love a true sequel (not like the transition from mafia 2-3 where they completely ruined one of my favorite game serious 😂) ,🙏🙏🙏🙏

I just started playing this game this week (the definitive edition on Xbox one). And man! It’s awesome! I looooove the gta “good guy” elements of it. Don’t get me wrong, I love gta and other open world games. But you’re always either a hero in a fantasy style world (like Skyrim or Witcher) or you’re a bad guy a realistic world like gta. Being able to finally play an undercover cop in an open world is awesome! And yes. I’m focusing on the “cop tree” lol. It’s fun. And the game itself it beautiful. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Ive had this game on my HD for years and never played it so i decided to give it a go today and im impressed having a lot of fun playing it. This will definitely keep me busy untill GOT comes out next week

I am playing this gamo now for 1 month and i am amazed. Im done with the story, got all statues, all fight clubs and now im doing the cop jobs. I have to say that the story is great and the whole city is just beautiful to discover, you feel like youre in in there. This is a better gta in my opinion.

The story is really engaging. I found myself caring for all of wei’s gangster friends, even the dude who hated wei at the beginning lol. Maybe it was the voice acting.

I starded playing this game just a few days ago and WOW, I truly love it. But the paramedics are broken, they never revive anyone, I have finished the game, now doing the last 10 car stealing missions, and I noticed very early on in the game that the paramedics always say and do the same thing, concluding with "this job sucks" always, everybody is just dead no matter how it gets hit. This must be some bug I guess.

Amazing game. I remember when I read review of the original game back in 2012. I looked at the screenshots and think "Holy shit, it's too perfect to be real..."

I loved the game but i wished the main story should be more long and briefing and actually end up becoming a TRIAD LEADER ❤️
