That chassis has more corrosion than my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. My MOT garage has remarked how bad Range Rovers are on corrosion especially when compared to Jeeps.

@andrewcollins867 5 лет назад
I guess that depends where you live ..my 05 sport has no rust at all above or below ..as seen from this video thete is no rust on this chasis either ...re play it or show your mot guy this vid and he will agree!

Fantastic work and dedication. If only I had this sort of technology in my days to share my knowledge with millions , only people saw us in action was the BTEC apprentice during early 90’s. Used to do Lotus/Jaguars, never had the luxury of online forums or anything, remember Halfords used to do manuals but that never came handy😜. It’s nice to see you taking things down to bare nuts & bolts, best way to do a rebuild. Good luck and thanks for sharing.

With the body off it would be a waste of an opportunity not to steam / pressure wash the chassis and engine / gearbox when finished. There will be some corrosion as we salt our roads and a good clean will show you where you need to fix that. Really good videos and as an ex Scania HGV fitter I like the methodical way you work. I am the same but I blame my OCD ...lol Just a gentle tip if I may? Maybe not get the camera so close to items while moving about and find a distance that works as you scan round (slowly). Remember you being up close have spacial awareness the viewer doesn't. Of course show the key parts as you did with body mountings but keep the camera still and point things out with your hand. (Sorry used to train people). Just a suggestion to improve what is already a really interesting channel.

Very good, quite brave tackling a cab off . What folk forget is that 95% of cars are assembled from a bare shell to a finished product in under 20 minutes. It’s just getting them apart in the right order is the conundrum and time consuming bit.

Many people would have given-up on that engine. I thought that (because you found some of the Rocker Shaft bolts loose), there may be internal thread distortion on the Alloy Head. Those bolts are high tensile, and would take a lot of force to 'stretch' them to the point of slackness. I would be extremely careful re-torquing down. Internal threads may pull - out, but then there are heli-coils! not many people would bring the RR back to life, so great work. Greetings from Australia.
