Here is a quick video i made before my flight to Sri Lanka to get you up to date on what's new in my collection.
About 6 months ago, while on one of my insane drives to QLD, I was given the extremely rare opportunity to get a hold of a True Piraiba ( Brachyplatystoma filamentosum ) and I simply couldn't refused.
Here is a short little update of how it has been so far over the last few months owning this stunning fish. I hope to make a more in-depth video once I've gotten more first-hand experience raising this future monster.

Loved that video on the flag tail prochilodus! You should do a species profile on : the different types of datnoids&buck tooth tetra ( can they have tank mates?) do you think datnoids can have a Jaguar for a tank? Thanks looking forward to your reply.

Thanks heaps for the feedback! I definitely plan on making more species profile type videos in the future. As for datnoids, in my personal experience they will be fine with Jaguar cichlids, however like with all cichlids they can be territorial so there would needs to be a few rocks or ornaments around which they can claim their territory.

@@ObsidianExotics thanks for responding. Can buck tooth tetra exists in a tank with bottom feeder tank mate?(This is where the tetras would be added after the other fish were established).

I don't do any importing as of yet maybe one day I'll have a quarantine facility where I could do it but even then Australia doesn't allow the import of Arowana or Flowerhorns.

I don’t get how you can spend so much money on fish only to toss them in a large tank with no decor. That tank looks awful. It reminds me of a public swimming pool. Please add some substrate and decor, and paint the walls of the tank.

Hey mate thanks for your feedback. I completely agree with having substrate and decore in the tank. However, this particular tank is part of a stingray breeding tank, which is why the tank is kept bare. In the long term, I plan on setting up a proper display tank for them with plenty of decore and substrate.

@@aaraadhyaandaakayaata - Well the guy responded to my post 3 weeks ago, so yeah, I heard his reasoning. I stand by my initial point. The tank looks like ass. I don’t think painting the tank, adding sand and minimal decor is too big of an ask. As for my age, what difference does it make? I can tell you’re a millennial, because you take offense to everything, so grab your emotional support animal, and go protest some grave injustice somewhere. You can save the world.
