Seriously how could anybody not know that was an insurance job. You have a truck with “one off everything” with no useable parts for any other vehicle.
@KDlGG and using your other personal truck to steal your money pit truck wasn't too well thought out. Could of rented a truck and removed plates.. could of done many simple things but he didn't. Glad he got caught as insurance rates are getting high .
@@MandoTROLLIAN I remember seeing it on truck rice his goofy ass face popping up and I’m like oh boy dudes at it again 💀 I wonder if anyone ever remembers someone asking how he opens the doors after they were shaved and he goes “I pull the string under the door”
Should have tried to reach out to the original owner/thief or the body shop (if you didn't already) and see if the "stolen parts" where laying around for cheap
Why are you then? Why waste even more time and mental energy on leaving a comment being rude to a guy who just made, all things considered, a pretty normal video about insurance fraud?
@@franklind.roosevelt7416 Its called the comment section, its what its for. People like you who try to put rules on it or free speech is the problem. If you had your way 100% you wouldn't allow anyone to say anything at all unless it was the exact same thing you were thinking.
@@petebusch9069 that is an absolutely insane statement. What I’m saying is nobody gives a shit, except for 16 internet assholes like yourself. Seriously how do you try and turn this into a free speech argument? What is wrong with your brain? Are you seriously so far up your own ass that you think you being a dick on the internet is the kind of thing they were talking about when they wrote the first amendment? I’m not even saying that it shouldn’t apply, it absolutely should. What I’m saying is you’re a stupid dick who thinks people are attacking free speech for calling you an asshole.
@@warwickandrews oh I bet! I was supposed to have my 79 build go this year but we had to push it back till next. I Want everything to be perfect on it 😂
@@jefferystillwell2121 I could see air bags helping but I don't think they could fully make up for having that rolling cushion of air in direct contact with the road. Not sure but good point.
Hmmmm... It seems a little odd that u work for divita auto where it was "stolen" from and somehow ends up BACK at divita auto. There's just too much to this BS scam.
Dude got so mad in the Facebook comments, like dog thats cool you built a "Sema Truck", but still doesnt take away that it was a garbage build 😂. Alot of people there actually have a time crunch on their builds (doing them on time) this shmuck started late, half assed it, and then got butthurt when people pointed out how its half assed. Do it right or dont do it at all, building a vehicle for Semas as cool as joining the special olympics without a disability, its not lmao.
Awesome man I love your funny ass dark sarcastic humor throughout this entire video can't wait for part 2 and however many parts untill finish of the golden sema truck
I just want to say how awesome and amazing you are big. Congratulations on getting the truck and a Big thanks on bringing this truck back to life it’s gonna be amazing. I can’t wait.
Dunno how I got here but def a zesty rig. Gotta love the builders ambition and I guess yers too. I am too old to get a "SEMA" build myself but you do you. Hopefully you will do something you enjoy vs what anyone else thinks.
Those people of Facebook have have no hope for this truck, it is entertaining to read. I have seen cars/trucks on RU-vid which where in a way more horrific shape and at the end they looked mint once more.
I have recently come across your channel and let me tell you. You sir are a fine gentlemen. The amount of grass roots alberta RU-vidrs is small. I’m loving what your doing and I’ll be watching every video. From. Legal, Alberta. ALBERTA STRONG
Love seeing this haha. I remember when I drove past it in McLean shortly before the road was shut down by rcmp. My father and I speculated it would be dumped out there…not surprising it was.
SEMA builds are usually garbage. As a fabricator I’ve walked SeMA and seen the most ridiculous unfinished horrible crap on display there. Missing welds, half finished and still on display. As a general rule any show truck is just that, for show and hardly functional for daily use.
new sub mad respect for doing this truck justice.. i can't wait to watch this unique truck build in a way that i can respectfully follow.. man i like this guy he has got that same genious in him on how to take another build and out build it into his own creation
@warwickandrews no problem I've been ther so many times in my life and your going about it the only way I know to do it and come out successful and happy with it when all said and done.. I've tried many other ways over the years and only had success doing it the same way ur approaching it
Builds like this are typical for show cars. Friend of my brothers bought an ex-showcar that won lots of awards till it was retired and used as a road car for 4 years before the friend swapped it and paid cash on his car. He intended to fix it up again but doing the bodywork discovered the huge amount of body filler in it and dodgy work. He ended up just trying to fix it so it could be drivable. The engine didn't even run right because they took the goodies off it, but he got that all put back on. The body was the biggest problem as it really needed a new factory shell.
Dang Gerts Wheels was able to find the wheels? That's pretty neat,I love his shop and selection,it's nice to have such a cool wheel shop a few minutes from my house in Ponoka.
We will be building it this year around that time so it won’t be but you should still get a chance to see it next year. Thanks for the kind words! I love it too lol
1:30 Sorta was his fault. Is standard for any custom build the issues they experienced and not giving enough time and trying to re-engineer precise suspension systems. I mean, supplier issues are a legitimate thing, but the stuff said in that post shared sound ultimately like builder issues.
Thanks for the positive feedback, I enjoy my editing style too, not sure why some people are complaining, I easily could have dragged that out for an hour and made more money on view time like everyone else but when I’m watching other vids I just want them to get to the point so I try to keep everything in my videos on point
so are you going to include the story of the theft and insurance fraud as part of the trucks "Show and tell" for 2024? it would definitely get some attention.
before realizing who actually "stole" it, I was thinking why in the hell would some thieves take a showroom/mall crawling "stolen" truck to a well known off road spot? i kind of thought maybe someone really just hated that truck, so they rolled it of the side of the mountain. and i guess that was still pretty true. just wasnt thieves..
Do you know what’s funny when you were bidding for it A lot of people use a strategy where they bid as fast as they can and make the guy that really wants it pay ridiculous amount for it.
Just to let you know they make 32 inch wheels and most end up on Monte Carlo's or some weird Lexus x-overs, but thats all I have seen on cars so far. But they make them up to 34 inch wheels
@@warwickandrews yessir i am. i wanted to paint it a normal colour put it on 2.5 rockwells and redo the suspension lift. and take it back to sema and show it off again lol
It’s been in a few of them but essentially I’ve had it for at least 10 years, driven it in the Stampede Parade 3 years, blew the engine in the Royal Rally 4 or so years ago and it’s been sitting waiting for a heart transplant since lol I’ll get to it eventually
