I Built a Hydrofoil Boat to Explore the Ocean in the Trailmakers High Seas Update! 

Doing an "Escape the Maw" multiplayer Monday would be a fun one.

This is such a cool update. This is one of the most realistic feeling environment with winds, waves, and currents

I really enjoyed seeing that hydrofoil perform. The high seas is such a good testing ground to separate creations that "kiiiinda work, in the right conditions" from those that handle well enough to be actually viable. (Just think of Kosmo's speedboat. It went really fast in calm waters, but as soon as he hit the edge-of-map waves and winds, it just got tossed into the air and flipped way too much.) Compared to that speedboat, the hydrofoil just ate MOST(!) waves without even going under too much. Collecting artifacts in the high seas is now actually kinda boring, after Scrapman, RealCivilEngineer and Kosmo all made a (full) series out of that. Unless you set yourself a challenge; like "no drones", or some power core limit.

i would love to see you doing all of what you said, an aicraftcarrier, a exploration boat with submarienes on it, maybe a giant Yacht? iam waiting for it for sure

I´d like to see you driving a huge container ship, that can even be a submarine. And in case you make a plane, please make it like the cargo plane that was used in on of the challenges.

You can make a surfboard, scrapman did. Somewhat works. I have also made a basic aircraft carrier and while takeoff is epic landings are difficult in the waves

I was asking KAN and scrapman to do this since before the game was released. Literally while it was in special access to youtubers only. Pre beta.

So if you had another setting to make your wings / foils go horizontal could you make a flyer / submarine ? You would probably have to shift the nose weight somehow too... not sure if being able to evenly spread out the nose wight would be enough ... it still might be too heavy ...

Wow. I'm impressed by that hydrofoil. Scrapman looked at some sail-powered hydrofoils and they did not work nearly as well. I'd definitely love to see you do more builds in this map, though I do find the whole High Seas campaign a bit too static and shallow to really care about it. I'd also love to see you play From the Depths. It has much better water mechanics more features to support things like building carriers and capital ships with custom weapons. Generally, it's much more tailored to doing a lot of things that you seem to really like, unlike Trail Makers, which seems to mostly focus on going fast and, maybe, stunts.

Imagine submarine battles on this map. Having to deal with huge, 100ft deep waves and rocks and stuff.

My parents friends used to have a really quick boat, and the guy is mad so when we drove us we did around 60-65knots and thats like 110km/h. It was just the most stupid insane thing that nobody should ever do.

Well how about make a series collecting the difference artifacts and treasures across the map building different boats, submarines and flying machines to do so, because I'd definitely watch it all, I was so hyped when you finally played this and I couldn't tell you how much stuff there is across the entire map for you to explore, in short. Pretty sure you want your rear foils to be wider than your front ones. Kind of exactly the opposite of your better boat.. just like a regular boat has a v in the front and wide back to stabilize.

IT took you an embarrassingly long time to get that those "Spiky things" are supposed to be the teeth of a big monster in the middle and that you're in it's mouth there...

You should build a vehicle that uses the waves to gain speed and travel more efficiently around the map!

maybe you should make a SWAF boat next they are boats that are immune to waves because they use 2 parallel submarine hulls to stay perfectly level in the water

"weight in the front" that's why the profiles are so thin IRL. Otherwise it would pop right out of the water because of the energy potential in the rear.

These are small waves. Hurricane level waves would be 20 times worse.

Hydrofoils werent made for waves, they were for much calmer water
