I built a long range drone using hdzero. 

so, I have been looking for a diversity 900mhz rx since day 1, and can't find one for sale anywhere. Does anyone know if they exist?

im pretty sure it was from my poor antenna set up and the fact i was standing in front of that tower lol, tomorrow i am using new antennas and a different location.

@@BOTGRINDER you know, on a lot of the builds I don’t venture too far on, I just use the whoop lite VTX with a 13mm piece of wire soldered to the board as my antenna and honestly have had zero issues. I find that board cheap and very durable so use it on most builds. On the beyond earshot builds I do use TrueRC or Cherry IIs with the Freestyle VTX and have found the performance great. I think goggle antennas is the really important thing though, and head position. I prefer to use 4 directional antennas and my long range is great. 5-7k with some obstacles gives a good picture, anything more doesn’t work too well on HDZero. I personally fly the system for the flight feel… the rest of the digital systems feel super off for me. And I honestly can’t freestyle, at all, on the other systems, my brain just doesn’t work with them. But I do use the Avatar VRX with 4 directional antennas on a tripod connected to my goggles via HDMI for the true long range stuff. That system is actually great for that! I absolutely fell in love with the Runcam90 though, and 95% of all flight happens looking through it. The stock lens is garbage as it’s a cheap stand in, because they had to reach a price point. But change the lens and it is an absolutely amazing camera!!! Hope you flight goes well! Oh: I actually have a good tip for you, screw in only one antenna at a time to the goggle and go for a flight, really good way of testing each individual antenna, after you find 4 great ones, or tweak/tune the crappy one. Stick 4 good antennas and your performance will be amazing! Lots of love ❤️ Also: obviously testing on 25mW is better than max power, so you don’t have to fly super far, or behind too many obstacles.

@@BOTGRINDER haha, well now I’m even more curious. Successful long-range can be a real struggle, I’ve been tweaking my setup for years… and still trying to improve it. (Tip: Not sure what you’re using but, a long VTX antenna makes a huge difference!)

Just watched this… haha nope. Horrible spot for a long range attempt, in addition to that huge cooling tower, standing under/near power lines often cause major RF issues. Freakin Long-range flights are always stressful…

interesting i am using the mamba, ill recalibrate right now.

@@BOTGRINDER Happened to me with my Mamba as well. The quad was twitchy like yours was. I don't know why but the TBS radios need occasional stick calibration. Let me know later if it fixes it.

I just replaced the main board in my tango 2. The hall sensors were finally beyond recalibration. Still my favorite radio though.
