This guy gets too wound up over the small things. Dave says count the number of Fridays, or whatever day it is you get paid, in April. "But I get paid on Thursdays." What difference does that make? Next: Be sure to include your house payment in the budget. "We don't have a house payment." Ok buddy, I'm sure you have rent then. He doesn't know where to start because he doesn't get the big picture!

Lol, thought that was funny too; typical response from someone who misses the point. When I try to illustrate a point using a whole $ like 10 dollar, person goes “ no, it’s actually 37.29 cents.” I then have to explain its way easier to do 10x12 to illustrate an example than pulling out a calculator and do the actual math... smh.

Dan Buchner government IS NOT a household.
@alessiobortone
@alessiobortone 3 года назад
No it wouldn't. Government is not a household, it's not a business. Those who tell you so are selling you a fallacy. Debt undertaken by the Government is different from debt undertaken by us. Can you and I print money ? No we can't. Do you and I have other Governments and funds across the world eager and desperate to undersign our debt? No we don't. Can we borrow at 0.01% and invest knowing with certainty we will make a return of at least 3%? No we can't.

i dont know if thats an american thing but getting paid once a week is bad. when you're paid once a month you HAVE to budget ahead or by the end of the month you're broke
@laurenandreas5950
@laurenandreas5950 5 лет назад
Lookingforsure...I totally agree! If you have a list of your bills for the month you can subtract that amount and you know what you have to work with for the rest of the month. Years ago when I was in the military I requested to be paid at the beginning of the month instead of twice a month and the finance office wouldn’t do it. They said too many people run out of money before the end of the month! I think being paid every week would be the hardest to keep track of.

@jimroscovius

My daughter gets paid monthly and she does a great job budgeting. You have to when you get paid once a month. My wife and I also get paid monthly. I think that's the best way to do it. You can still pay bills weekly if you get paid monthly. It's actually easier.

If the wife is the saver she may be frugal in her spending habits anyway (except for the TWO car payments). And of course everything that must be paid (rent, car payements, utilities, insurance...). Normal people can get ahead w/o doing a budget. What remains goes to a savings account (and they never have no savings) nor do they have debt.
