Another successful video full of world class fishing content. I have been a fan for a couple of years and have been getting all of my friends to check out, and most importantly, subscribe, to y'all's channel(s). I currently live in Murrells Inlet, SC, where the fishing is good, but nothing like it is in your neck of the woods. What is so interesting and unique about your channel(s), is that they are not only filled with great fishing action, but also help promote the attractive Florida outdoor lifestyle that so many people want to experience and even live year-round. In fact, I am moving down to the Tampa/St Pete area this fall and cannot wait to jump in with both feet. I have spent significant amounts of time all across and up and down the Sunshine State since I was in my teens, so I do know it well. In fact, I lived down in Deerfield Beach for a period of time around 10 years ago and really got into saltwater fly fishing, mainly for snook and tarpon but also other species like barracuda and bonefish. My new plan is to move down in a few months and take a stab at semi-retirement, with an emphasis on semi, buy a nice property on the water, and get me a boat that I can use to get around and do a lot of inshore fishing. I am also going to explore some entrepreneurial activities to bring in additional income and stay busy. Throughout my career, I have been involved in all kinds of successful PR and marketing campaigns, but my passion in life has always been fishing, especially saltwater fishing. I would love to come up with some ways to contribute to the new operation that you, Beach Bum (aka "The Whiting King"), and "Captain" Ron have put together and provide you all with some additional ideas aimed at further growing your brand, viewership and overall business in a way that is both measurable and verifiable, as well as consistent with the vision you have, or will, set forth in your business plan. I firmly believe that your operation truly has a chance to revolutionize the way people are entertained, informed, and educated about fishing, as well as acquire the gear and tackle they need to carry out their fishing dreams. The sky truly is the limit for you guys. Matthew's RU-vid presence has steadily grown since I started watching him several years ago, Ron hit is 10K as we knew he would, and your relatively new, but clear success at both jointly and individually creating amazing fishing content and growing your business(es) has been nothing short of spectacular. Your strategic thinking on how to work together as a team has proved to be a win-win concept for all of you. Y'all simply kick ass, providing amazing fishing info that helps your dedicated viewers easily find fun, entertaining and informative fishing content on the web that also helps them catch more fish. And, all three of you include interesting related content such as catch and cook episodes, fun with both family and friends, and a steady dose of enthusiasm, approachability, congeniality and good old southern outdoorsman charm which clearly have been instrumental in gaining more eyeballs on your channels. Finally, you guys also have a natural gift for humor, possess big hearts, and engage in good natured sarcasm and competitive edginess which which keeps your content fresh and unpredictable, which count for a lot. Tight lines my friends, keep up the great work, grow those subscriber bases, and most importantly, have fun! PS, I sure hope this tropical storm passes y'all by and leaves everyone unscathed. 🎣
When I lived in Destin in The 80's and 90's my dad sold real estate. He worked and so did I worked for Sandestin Resort. Selling real estate was so much fun then. I guess now it's gotten to be very competitive market . ENJOY your videos and good luck with selling!
Loved fishing the buoy's outside the pass. I caught a nice Cobia on a cigar minnow that dang near straightened my hook. It was my first lesson on gearing up to fish in the gulf!
Sweet hook ups! The bite was on at Okaloosa pier today as well hooked king bonita and even got to see some tarpon free jumping the surf. Need to get out on the water asap! Thanks for the video love king fishing!
EXCELLENT VIDEO !!! I will be contacting you this week. Was supposed to come down in April when I contacted you last to get a feel for areas. Then pandemic went crazy. I just booked next Thursday to Sunday and wanted to see if we can look at areas and options. Orange Beach. Perdido. Pensacola. Etc. houses. Town houses. Condos.
Love your videos! just started getting into fishing myself.... can you do some videos on pier fishing? would love to see your techniques and what you catch from pier fishing!
Your right Brant you don't want to be anywhere out in the weather when it is lighting. My girlfriend up in Birmingham was struck by lightening. She almost died. Be after that she was never the same person.
Just bought a Savannah.... Not more than 2 hours ago... So I loved the video... To think I was worried whether or not it would catch any fish or not...
8:44. So in my experience a Spanish mackerel has dots or spots will be circled with a yellowish line like a yellowish circle around the spot. And its lateral line is a wee bit different I'm pretty sure king mackerel lateral line goes straight across diagonals up and then straight again at the gills a Spanish mackerel line is just straight across if I'm not mistaken but that is funny that people can't really see the difference I don't know maybe I've just caught enough that it comes natural now but they are definitely different some people say they're so similar but I just don't see that. Like I said maybe it's because I've called multiple fish of both species in my lifetime hundreds to be honest and it just comes natural at this point but I think it is kind of funny to see that people can't see the difference. It makes me proud of myself to know I have caught enough to just automatically know the difference LOL. Keep it up Brant I love the channel watch it daily and most of the time as soon as your videos come out if I'm not at work and sometimes even at work hahaha. Keep it up and PEACE AND LOVE to all!!!
Awesome morning!!Looks like you were at the Massachusetts. What do you think about chum baskets for fishing? Just a little FYI,The term comes from the 1992 movie Juice staring Tupac and Omar Epps. When Omar character beat Tupac character everyone said "you got the Juice now". Savannah had the juice the first three fish but now that King got the "Juice"....LOL. Great vid bro.
I got a large selection for nearly pennies the first time gander went under, then stocked up last year on the second round. Not sure if Broxsons or Outcast has any, or maybe half hitch.
I know that this is not the place to question this but bc the spotted King was commented on here I have a question on soemthing I saw! I have been around gar literally allllll my life and last yr I was in Ft Walton on the beach on the Gulf side and was heading out on my paddle board to do some fishing. The surf was very calm ans I was just outside people wading and I looked over and saw a 1'-0 to 1'-6 long Spotted Gar sitting on top of the water just doing what Gar do! NO, IT WAS NOT A NEEDLEFISH! This was 100% a Spotted Gar. Since then I've looked for additional evidence showing Gar being in saltwater and the only thing I'm finding is the occasional Gator Gar but they are noted to be in brackish waters. This was not a Gator but indeed a Spotted, I know the diff as I've been bowfishing for 20+ years and have seen all species! Has anyone else ever seen a Spotted Gar in saltwater???
Anywhere you can gain access to the beach. If you're going to Naples try the road that goes from Ft.Myers beach to Bonita beach. Walk the beach and cast an artificial out parallel to the beach.
