This is the hardest project I've ever done, it took me a lot of time to plan and ideas to make it, hope you guys like it, don't forget to leave a comment below, and Share it for everyone to see. #ledan #4cylinders
You have awesome skills, but.... crankshaft is the wrong approach... use 3 cylinders next time... and a straight shaft underneath powered with gear. Think of using salad oil in the future... Have fun 🤣🤣🤣
This what you call craftsmanship. Any kid with a degree or even a hobbyist can draw this engine out in design software and sent the data to the machining center. Using old parts to make this is incredible and takes skill that will soon be lost to the sands of time.
Repairs and replacement parts are still a huge part of the machining trade. This person has fixtures for each setup so this is not just something they decided to do once. They obviously build quite a few of these. And obviously there is a level of efficiency to it. If you think that it was easier or cheaper to build it from all new parts, that is how it would be made.
Not to mention the giant heap of old pitbike engines setting there. You can buy running pitbike motors for less than 200 bucks any day if the week brand new. It's a pretty cool way to recycle what they've got. But there's a reason they do it this way.
This is devotion, skill, and self training at it's best, I've never accomplished anything quite like it, yet been in 100% control of nearly 1 million dollar projects. This man has talent.
@@krotchlickmeugh627 RU-vid judge how to pay the same way for everyone, if anyone get less or more money it's because of each country's taxes, it's not RU-vid fault. And even if this video get demonetized in which case it would be a "loss of money and time", this guy just showed off his skills and knowledge, that's something that could give him a better job in, who knows? any vehicle brand that you could imagine (well maybe not Tesla), just imagine putting this video in your LinkedIn profile
Please make a multiple cylinder 2 stroke engine!!! Or maybe even v twin 2 stroke. V4 2 stroke. 3 cylinder 2 stroke. Twin 2 stroke. It doesn’t matter anything 2 stroke is cool!!! Good job. More 2 stroke engine please. 2 stroke lovers give me thumbs up. Let Le Dan see this!!
I'd like to see a 2 stroke V8 based on the Honda CR 500 which made 65+ horsepower from ONE cylinder, so an eight cylinder would be over 500 horsepower from only 240 cubic inches!
I keep hearing Alan Millyard saying: "I cut it off with my hacksaw, and it came out perfect." Most see old, greasy bike parts. The few see the potential, and have the skill to bring it to life. Fine craftsmanship here and no mistake.
Hats off to this guy for his machining and welding prowess, not to mention his blueprinting ability. From my perspective, it would appear more advantageous to cast and machine a cylinder block and crankcase assembly than to chop up four cases and then weld and machine them together to make a complete engine. Perhaps, I'm just thinking mass production, where as he just wants to complete one unit in his small workshop. He may not have a foundry or casting experience, but if he did, he could turn out more of those precious little gems and even supply them to smaller frame builders for a profit.
I think he did this more to show off his skills. The fact that he could do it. If I was Elon musk or NASA, I would be trying to hire this guy. I bet most people who have a master's in mechanical engineering, couldn't even do this.
@@tayloralvidrez4342 Yeah cause mechanical engineering is not about using, it's about making them cause machinist aren't engineers. One can't exist without the other, stop shitting freely on people that aren't even evolve or talked about. PS : Musk is a fuckin fraud.
This guy is wealthy enough to get those parts and machines in his private workshop, he can easily buy a 4 cylinders engine ready to use. However, he chooses to use his awesome skills in making the engine. Great performance.
In India Dilip chabaria known as DC makes custom cars and bikes...but this guy works on core part that is engine ...am sure if he had his workshop in India he would have been billionaire. Awesome ...just truly genius engineering.
Great engineer, but dont forget he converted allot of ready made parts, but still quite a talent, you would be amazed at what you can do with a mill and a lathe.
I would not have believed that something like this was possible ( I have a manufacturing company) ; but watching this gentlemen design and machine this project left me stunned! I am bowing down to his remarkable skills!
This video had me talking to the monitor and myself, outlining the issues that I knew had to be addressed to make this work, only to see you address those issues shortly after. I don't know how long that will live, but that is some impressive ingenuity.
I do something very similar. At times have absolutely no idea what he's doing or why... But it becomes clear later. He certainly has some talent. I always wonder how long these engines will last but of course that's not really the point. The fact they work *at all* is the impressive thing and anything after that is just gravy.
@@makhang2 the work I do comes under official secret act of India so I cannot upload it on you tube but I can tell you that in a nuclear reactor there are 64 temperature sensors with redundancy of 8 it means at every point 8 signels of temperature are generated and there are in total 64 of such points. Redundancy of 8 is highest as per IEC standards . IEC stands for international electromechanical council.
I'd give this a bash with nothing but a TIG welder, a stick welder and an angle grinder and use my dogs kennel roof for a bench... might need a battery drill too... But straight up awsome job man! That's neat
Beautiful work on the cylinders. It would have been too much work to fabricate a "one-piece" head, but that would be something nice to see in the future.
