Running around on the field? Hanging with the players? Playing shortstop? Taking BP with Kelsie Whitmore, the first female player in an MLB-affiliated league? Turkey eating contest on top of the dugout roof? YES TO ALL OF THIS and there were some former Major Leaguers in the house as well!
The Staten Island FerryHawks are managed by a former New York Mets legend named Edgardo Alfonzo (who once went 6-for-6 in a game!), and the visiting Long Island Ducks are managed by another former Mets stud named Wally Backman (who won a World Series in 1986). Pay close attention and you'll notice some other baseball royalty throughout the video.
