I know and I love 3 pompano that day, when the surf is 4 foot and rough, the Sputniks can work against you and yank hooks out of the mouth. Causes greater tension and poor hooks sets.
Hey, I am proud to claim catching the first Redtail Perch on Fishgum! It works and does not come off the hook easily, G-Luck and be sure to use it in PK's tourny!
@@edquier40Yeah they do work great. I did use some for PK’s tourney last year. I use fish bites too but fish gum seems to work better. I’ll see you at the next tourney in July!
Been a j hook fisherman a long time and have added 1/0 circle hooks to the tackle box for this spring do you feel that you get a better hook up ratio with the circle hooks and do you prefer offset or inline circle hooks thanks for everything you do tight lines from Myrtle beach South Carolina
Thanks Tony for the Wed morning entertainment with my coffee! I see you edited the cart modification completely out of the video (I am anxious to see) Is the acorn issue a winter only problem or year around?
I say the same thing you say when I go surf fishing just one more did I say to myself oh I'll stay here until I get another one I get one more then go home and I'll be there for 2 hours I know that feeling especially if the bite is good heck yeah
Can someone explain this acorn worm that he is talking about? I’ve been to the beach the past couple days and have smelled a very strong iodine smell the whole time. I don’t know if I can relate that to a certain worm though
They are sand worms they emit iodine when disturbed, surf zone species will eat these worms and their meat will taste like bitter iodine. It’s inedible at that point. What beach, and yes that’s an acorn worm?
The beach I was at was between navarre and Pensacola beach. I went yesterday to check it out and It was too rough to fish, didn’t get any bites either on dead shrimp or fish bites. The iodine smell was so strong, I could smell it in my car hours later. I did see some wood that had holes in it on the beach. Perhaps the acorn worms bore holes in the wood and also live in the sand and stink up the whole place ?
