Wow real cool to let this guy reel in a big stud pompano.. that fish is member of the jack line. Excellent flavour firm meat some say best eating . Dang that video was sick.
It's always fun to help someone catch their first fish and see the joy on their faces. A few months ago I had the pleasure of helping two young Israeli girls and their mother catch their first ever fish prior to them retuning home for the start of the school year. The sheer squeals of joy and the looks on their faces made it my best fishing day of the year and I wasn't even fishing. I pray that they are safe.
That is one of the reasons most people love fisherman. We are not selfish with our gear. Are known to give kids rods and reels so they can go fish. And we have the best attitudes in the world. FISHERMAN ROCK Ron In Los Angeles
Did not expect that! That was very cool of you to let him reel it in! I was expecting some Karen to approach you and complain about you taking all the fish from the ocean! LOL! Good job brother!
God bless you for being such an awesome human being and befriending a stranger like that. More men need to embrace Christian Fellowship and invite more men to experience fishing like this. I'm sure John is now a good friend of yours.
Here in New England, I've been out on party boats many, many times and have always enjoyed handing the rod to someone, particularly kids, to see them catch a fish. I've caught a lifetime's worth of fish but to see them catch their first is really cool.
It amazes me how few people percentage wise, have caught a fish. Thanks for spreading the joy. I'll see if I can have the chance to pass a rod to a stranger.
Triple like! I was both encouraged and challeneged by your brotherly kindness to John. I will soon be at the beach and will definitely be on the lookout to be a blessing to my own "John." Thank you, Brother!
@@FishGumyou should read my previous reply to an earlier comment of mine. Also, when I caught my first saltwater fish, I didn’t even know it was a Pompano, but I was overwhelmed by how much my first saltwater fish looked so different from my Freshwater trophy flatheads looked. It opened up an anticipation of possibilities about what could be out there for me. Tie that fish into the beach, the sun and of course the blue saltwater with the unlimited possibilities that could be waiting for me there. I cannot begin to tell you all how beautiful my life became after that June/July vacation we took down there from Nebraska. We were down there to take a look at the new location for a new store and company we worked for. We drove home that night of July 4th 1976… the bi-centennial. As we drove back we could see all the fireworks going off everywhere. I still am in awe of that period till 2023. I was with this girl who would also be transferred to the same store till we got into the boat business. No one has ever been in as a deep state of Love as I have been since 1/1/76. All this is obviously proof of a supreme entity who has truly blessed me and my wife, who was the girl who was with me when I caught my first and only Pompano. If you all had any idea of all my adventures, you couldn’t understand or believe what all I have experienced. Two Movies, two Olympic teams, captained a vessel with a current Vice President on board who would become President. More national and world championships than I can remember and friends who maintain contact… sorry but even I am in awe AND that one Pompano could have been the catalyst that started my affair with the blue water world.
Nice touch man...nice touch!! Love to do the same on some rivers in Alaska....People are so amazingly grateful and I just love sharing the joy! I use fly rods but I won't knock ya. ;) Fish on!! Tight LInes!!
What a great story and John got his first one! I was expecting someone trying to run you off the beach, there are so many crazy people in society today, that is what I expected. I got tears in my eyes John reeling him in...
Your video gives me a big smile on my face such a nice person you are! Greetings from a fisherman from holland the netherlands❤ Every year my wife & me go to the coast and eat our flounder on the way home camping on free camperplaces along tne way😊 cheers.
Surfcasting is the greatest test of a fisherman. Its epic. As a novice, you either catch or fail, when fellow fishers get tired of you embarrassing them, they teach you how to fish. And they dont care about color or origin,
I was trout fishing in medicine park Oklahoma. I let a young kid catch his first trout. Total stranger. I will never forget the smile and the joy that young kid experienced. Nice going Tony
Hey man I don’t comment on stuff but that was super cool of you. Those of us that didn’t grow up around the coast know what it’s like to move there later in life and the struggle of learning on your own. Cool on you man.
That was definitely a great thing that you did not only as a Christian but a good fishermen also. I don't know I just threw that one in😄😄😄 It takes a Village! God bless you and yours.
runt rod haha love it. Great name! I have seen Beach Bomber from Texas also using a runt rod for flounders even though he specializes in the mega bull reds and big uglies and sharks and crevalles
I used to go beach fishing with my Dad in the dawn, and i found it the best and most relaxing way to see in the day, but the way this guy does it i don't find it either of those things!!!!
