It’s insane how identical our journeys are! I dyed my hair ginger back in late 2022 and have just big chopped 2 days ago! My hair is around the same length and I did my first wash day today. It’s such a crazy feeling. My hair was waist length before and I completely killed it with the bleach, the heat styling after I had dyed it and I ended up on 3 hot holidays which fried my hair. I’ll be following your journey closely, you’ve already helped me so much by giving me the confidence to get through the transition and big chop, thank you! Jaelen is definitely my go to for hair information! I was able to grow my hair and keep it healthy with the knowledge and facts she dropped. My hair is a little different from hers bc mine is low porosity but I still learned so much. PS….your little fro looks sooooo cute!!!
Okayyy Tip #4 ...i completely AGREE...now i do have any easier time b/c i prepoo..or prior to shampoo i dampen my hair and apply generous conditioner just to finger detangle...then apply shampoo to my roots and then rinse it out..its worked so well for me to do it that way..some wont agree but i literally never use a comb now and my hair is in great condition and its grown so long
I’ve been watching your videos for a few years now. I went natural and did the big chop in 2020. I had to cut my hair a few times working with it. It’s pretty healthy now and looking good. I’m 60 and I wish I would have done this years ago. Thank you for what you do. Your big chop looks really good.

I'm a biweekly wash/deep condition girl ... but I have low porosity hair and hearing the tip of moisture and protein deep conditions I will definitely give a try. ❤
@SS-de8nx All hair needs protein but some more often than others... as far as low porosity, we need it every other month, something that I haven't been doing. I did some research on it yesterday. Because we can get into that "moisture overload" real quick, so throwing protein in sporadically will help combat that.
I’ve been natural for 11 years and just did my hundredth big chop and my hair is about the same length as yours now. I’m used to having longer hair too so I get it. I got bored and started straightening too much and realize I like my hair natural and got tired of dodging the rain and wanna sweat in peace 😂 so I want to grow it back out just natural. You should try the Anthony Dickie wash n go method which consists of daily (or every other day) co-washes (ie washing hair with conditioner only) and shampooing hair weekly with a no suds cream shampoo

Post partum killed my hair & i just wanted something different. I like my twa, but i dnt love it & honestly, some days i dnt feel confident. I cant wait to get some length, well height. Lol. You can wait few months or year get a silk press to see your hair growth and progress see your length. My hair grows 3 inches longer since chopping my hair 9 months ago.

My hair has been the same length that your big chop is. For years I've been at this shoulder/neck length hair. And when it shrinks, girl those springs don't wanna go past my ears.
