Me: sings “Hi I’m Danielle I do too much I like hair-talking-cosplay-music-art-andstuff” every week. Also me: forgets her name isn’t actually Starpuppy
Im always like "she is sooooo weird😂"...and that is ok. because some people are just weird..Its not an insult its a state of being. Variety is the spice of life
Islandgirl POV I know people who wash their hair at the beginning of their shower in cold water. Depends on personal experience/experimentation and hair porosity how you incorporate different water temperatures into your routine
Shampooing the shaft of your hair differs from person to person. My hair's a bit lower density than yours, same texture and normal to fine strand thickness and I personally exjoy shampooing the shaft of my hair. My conditioner and products absorb so much better when my hair is thouroughly cleaned. My hair feels more stripped than if I didn't shampoo my scalp of course but my hair overall benefits from shampooing my shaft and roots.

I agree. I cannot not shampoo my shaft. I don't have to use alot but products will sit on top of my strands if I don't shampoo my shaft causing white flakes.
i have the exact opposite hair type to you (i have naturally straight, high density, high porosity hair) and i love your content. You must be doing something right because i can't stop watching your videos.
Yes. yes. Having a distraction while doing my hair has made things so much easier! I usually listen to some kind of horror creepypasta or audiobook type thing so that I'm screaming at the characters at the story to run away, rather than screaming at my hair to act right.
I've searched and watched high and low. Until now I've never felt moved to even comment on the thousands of hair videos I've watched. YOU GET ME!!! So glad I finally found your channel😍
Yay!! I’m here early!! Danielle can you show us 1 week of doing your hair? Like what is your weekly routine from wash day to the next wash day?? Love your content!! ❤️ 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾❤️🤣🤣🤗🤗🤗
Girl, unless I missed somezhing, all you did was, used a good shampoo, deep conditioner, rinsed in cool water, for this beautiful look on your hair. For me, this will be a quick way to wear my hair for a coiled style. I love it. Yas. Thank you.
Hi me and my mom started using hair products from a brand called melle my hair was so moisturized and my curl pattern came out now I know that I’m 4b-4a
I have been this channel watching for almost a year and i enjoy your -isms! your hair is very pretty and your face is glowing. keep representing, keep posting your good and bad trials, tribulations and triumphs and overall, continue to keep your "fluffnuggeet" healthy and happy!
You are such a joy!! I genuinely smile and laugh every time I watch one of your videos. You have an incredibly uplifting spirit. Thank you for the joyful moments and the knowledge. I appreciate your videos!
Beautiful! And yes, the visuals were very helpful to me! I used the shea moisture line once before and I felt like my hair was mugged! Just robbed, beaten to a pulp and left for dead...but it sounds like it's doing great things for everyone else, so that's good! Anyhoo, excellent video. Thanks for the upload and catch you in the next one!
It use to work for me but over time started noticing thinning and my hair getting dry again. Turned out the coconut oil was causing issues over time. Would have never know if I didnt use raw coconut oil as a prepoo once which caused a bad reaction just hours later on my scalp. So I avoid most shea moisture products due to the coconut oil. My hair & scalp is still recovering slowly but surely
I love how she's doing the video in her bedroom and then it looks like she's gone to a library to wash her hair. Love StarPuppy vids, bringing the knowledge, humour and the weird
When you suggest I skip ahead: "Ha! Am I a joke to you?!" I totally SOP my hair with D.C. like bread soaking up butter. I keep going until I see my coils arrive and/or the product literally yeets itself onto the floor like, THATS ENOUGH!
If you have low porosity hair, try this: warm the dc put on hair, and then wrap head w/ plastic baggie/bag and then put a towel or a knit hat on top if you don’t have a dryer for 30 minutes. Wooo- the curls will pop. Rinse w/ warm water, your leave in of choice, thin oil to seal (sometimes grease). Style as you want. Moisture for days.
She is fluffity, muffity, star puppity, yummious, dark thickious goodness. Your hair looks lovelyferl, your instructions are helpferl and your personality is a quarter cup of whimsy, 2 pinches of magic, a full gold nugget of pure unpressed sunshine and 5 leaflets of intelligence. New fan!!
Pretty hair!....One of the more "simpler" natural hair wash days! Seems like natural = overly complicated and time consuming for a lot of youtubers. But, this is quite practical.
I skip the conditioner step but I finger detangle with pre-poo. I have to shampoo my sensitive scalp every week. I don't have time for 4 hour wash days.
I'M SOOOOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! Your hair has grown and your crown has filled in nicely (dare I say... MEDIUM DENSITY....)🎉🎊 I have the same everything as you and I've been natural for about 11yrs because that low-density had my hair looking like I was sick! Past 10yrs I've faithfully gone to the hairdresser and have been a "pressed natural" so my hair would look like it had more body; last summer I started my REAL natural hair journey and wearing my hair FULLY natural. I watch many channels to learn about my hair but today you gave me some REAL INSIGHT. While my hair is past my shoulders, my crown is thin, shorter and the 4c section of my hair. After watching your video yesterday, I hopped right on Amazon and got the same shampoo and conditioner as you and guess what - its already arrived!!! While I have to use up the 2-jars of Mielle deep conditioner I have (serious coin @$19/each PLUS TAX) - I will start my new regimen with your 3-products and give it 6mos to see how it thrives. I hope to be blessed with longer, fuller hair like you because your hair had DEFINITELY THRIVED. Thanks so much for your content; there are so many of us across the globe going through the same struggle as you - THE STRUGGLE "IS" REAL. Sending much love from Toronto Canada, be blessed Cuz!💖🥰
I love seeing you condition AND deep condition. I see other naturals just do one but baby mane here (my hair) need every moisture step I can give her. Glad I'm not the only one.
Idk if you tried it, but you may want to wash your deep conditioner out with warm water since you are low porosity, especially if you are gonna do LOC after that. Cold water closes the cuticles and you don’t want that if you still have products to use to moisturize your hair for a few days 😊
I'm so happy you made this video because I try so much stuff to moisturize my hair but when I wake up the next day my hair feels greasy but dry at the same time.
Me 👏🏾 Too 👏🏾 At least it USED to be my problem. My hair is so thick that I thought I had to use a lot, and I mean A LOT, of product after the washing process. Turns out there is a such thing as overuse! Less is definitely more!
Jala Powell I used to have that exact problem (and I still do when I neglect my hair lol). I remedy that by deep conditioning my hair with a mixture of olive oil, coconut oil, a bit of castor oil and aloe. That keeps my hair moisturized and shiny for about 2 weeks together with spritzing it with water. Hope that helps :)
So I just found your channel and I'm LOVING your energy. Currently trying to transition and struggling hard. It's nice to see someone so helpful and chipper. Subscribed 🥰 Sidenote: I've learned we're pieces sisters! ♓
I’ve been using Klaris Vitamin C drop as your recommended in your previous video and I LOVE it!! My skin shines bright like a diamond!! It really works! 💎 💍 💎
You would love Carol's Daughter Mimosa Hair Honey, it's impossible to compare it to any other product I have ever used. The definition & sealing you will get from it is UNREAL. You will never have any frizz, or dryness ever! It's a little like a wax had a baby with a mild grease. It smells earthy and honey-like.
I’ve been natural for years now, obvi don’t know everything about hair but I see you be going THRU it lol but I just love watching your channel because your personality just shines and you are HILARIOUS😂♥️♥️♥️ keep on keeping on 🙏🏾🥰
Danielle: I have 25% shrinkage but when my hair is stretched out it's longer than you think. Me: I have 50% shrinkage but when I stretch my hair out it's STILL shorter than Danielle's and I've been natural for my whole 13 years of life!
Thank you for teaching me, a white european with 2b hair, about low porosity! I have always wondered why other girls could wash their hair at night and wake up with dry hair in the morning. Even if I blow dry my hair so that it‘s only damp when I go to bed, it is still damp in the morning. Love your videos!
