Dr. Disrespect talking to minors boogie lying about his cancer. Now charlie forgeting about a card rule in a game i literally have no understanding. This is unforgivable
I never cheated on academic tests by looking over another persons shoulder. Partially because even if i was seated next to somebody, i was too short to actually see over their shoulders.
Its hilarious to me that charlies scandals are always "i swear i meant to put ketchup on that burger" in a world of degenerates filming themselves be criminals
It's not complex, just badly written. WotC are hack game makers. Proper deck testing would have caught the issues causing players to fault and then fix them.
This is so true I’m horrible with rules (to the point one of my friends always has to be my aide 😂 so I don’t f-ck up the game) literally had years of people just believing me or letting it slide because I was so sure!😂😂😂😂
Everyone, basically: I’m a creep and I’m not sorry about it hmph, oh yeah and I refuse to say anything Charlie: *makes a 12 minute apology video because he accidentally “cheated” on a magic game*
i have played magic for about 20 years now. I have watched the big deck energy video early today and simply did not notice the mistakes until I saw this video. No one at the table notice and no one in the production notice. You guys played your game, everybody had fun and this is what magic should be about. Gathering friends and spend time together. No one should care about who won the game, as long it was entertaining. The video was great, and it is all that matters
It’s funny how in video games you can get accused of cheating for knowing everything about a game while irl you can get accused of cheating for not knowing everything about a game.
Ive been playing for a few months as well i have not seen a commander game go without at least a few misses on what a card says. People accidently cheat all the time.
it makes sense. IRL if you forget a rule you bypass that restriction and get an unfair advantage. If you forget a rule in a video game that video game enforces it and fucks you over. Same thing, different medium, and very different outcome.
I enjoy watching you geek out over MTG so much, because as being a little older than you, knowing how much we used to get singled out for being nerds (at least pretty common when I was growing up) and having you leaning into it with your whole chest, gives me great joy. Sending this to my bro, he’s big on MTG (I haven’t kept up) and is a big fan of the Prof. You remind me of Colbert geeking out on LOTR. Same vibe and I love it,
He's wearing the Courage shirt because he needs a lot of courage to admit to this, no one takes their children's card games as seriously as the MTG community. Not even Kaiba has anything on them, and Kaiba once threatened to jump off the roof a castle if he couldn't win.
Been a while since i watched Yu-gi-oh but wasn't his little brothers life literaly dependent on him winning in that one? I think a lot of things, even really goofy things, would become significantly more serious in a situation like that.
kaiba invented space travel to play a childrens card game (in the movie) if someone takes cards more seriously than him they have my full respect because the loyalty and dedication is godlike
Off-white sun seeker at the marina. Fuck a phantom I like to buy yachts when I get the fever. Wine cooler spill on my white t-shirt, the sightseer. GAWD AH
It’s so wild to see Charlie playing magic AND with the professor of all people! I’ve been playing magic for like 9 months and seeing so many new creators playing is great for a new person seeing some cool interactions and commanders
Best way to avoid any of these accidentals is making it the norm to check out each others played cards. Me and my friends are always distrusting each other by checking what the other player played and correcting any wrongs
To be fair to Charlie, no one at the table called out the grave titan misplay or the 2 health staying in your health pool so it isn’t completely on you.
@@blakewhite3131 I think also most board games have rules that you never realized are official rules. Most of them people know how to play relatively and just go from there. Like when is the last time anyone looked over the monopoly rule book
If nobody calls the mistake at the table, then nobody can get upset looking back with full hindsight. I appreciate that charlie still took the time to call himself out. A non-tournament setting, among friendly content creators, playing a game of mutual interests. Casual enviroment, casual mistakes. I forgive you charlie. Just remember this as a lesson.
It’s awesome you got to play with the professor, he is very respected in online mtg. And don’t worry about making blunders, I have seen people who have played for decades get tripped up on things. To be clear, in this video Charlie uses “paying life, taking damage, and losing life” interchangeably when they are not necessarily the same thing. It seems innocuous but it could have an impact on the game depending on what cards your opponents are playing. For example taking damage causes you to lose life, however if you lost life it doesn’t necessarily mean you took damage.
I just feel for him getting into the game now. I used to love it, but the WoTC scandals are keeping me away. I still can't get over them sending the actual Pinkertons to someone's house!
@@alexthemovie bro hush. You're just jealous. You're probably a discord mod with no life, no girl, you don't take showers, and live in your parents basement.
@@fireentertainment5 he aint even a bot lol, he has real content. real SHIT content, but still. which also means he has commented on EVERY one of these
2:00 Moby Huge: Legendary Artifact - Vehicle. 1/1 Crew 3. Whenever you crew Moby Huge with one or more creatures, if any of those creatures has visible cleavage, Moby Huge gets +7/+7 and trample until end of turn. It must be blocked this turn if able.
I mean really it's quite funny that in the game with the guy who coined the phrase "Reading the card explains the card", Charles failed to read the card. That's just humorous in a cosmic sense.
They had buttermilk chicken tendies a few years ago and they slapped so fucking hard, hoping they just brought them back instead of changing the recipe
