I think she is a great match for Sophie as she has given her a lot of confidence. The only drawback is I think she will have to change showing plans and find what suits Lady. She is not a pleasure type, nor a hunter. Perhaps a jumper?

Maybe you should get Sophie a new saddle? I really think she will become a MUCH bettter rider. She’s already amazing but she needs that extra support. Even a 2nd hand or 3rd hand saddle would work.

But its not about the rider.. its about the horse. If the saddle is past the last rib they cant.

Lady is a great horse for Sophie. I think you just need to get Sophie into lessons to actually work out what the best discipline for them as a team. But first please get sophie a saddle that fits her properly as well as the horse. Sure it can be pricey but its the best thing you can do for both sophie and Lady

I think her and Sophie are a good match but Sophie is gonna have to sacrifice doing what she likes to do what suits lady that is just horses at the end of the day . I don’t think they have the skills to be a hunter jumper or showjumper but equitation ? Yes , pleasure classes ? Yes having an ex pacer horse who can do everything I found that what he really enjoys is hacking in the uk we do a lot of hacking and it makes me happy doing what he likes as then he’s happy

I’m always say adjust your riding to what your horse can do. Unless you want to spend a ton on the perfect horse for a particular sport. Personally I hate horse sport. Horses are companions and pets first.

@@michelleturner6865 what ?? My horse would go nuts if he didn’t have a job . He’s definitely not a companion he doesn’t like other horses and is a risk to other horses as he likes his space . Same with my friends horse , unfortunately not every horse can be a companion to others . My horse is a working horse and at the grand age of 20 looks better than a 7 year old companion horse .

I spent years getting my horse to a place he’s at , never did u ever put my needs before his . If he didn’t find something comfortable he didn’t do it . He does everything apart from barrel racing . He can jump but he doesn’t like it as much as doing dressage or his favourite thing to do is hack/ trail ride . I put my needs after my horses needs to make sure their comfortable when I ride them .

I love that, and I agree! She is definitely taking the jumping slow to see if she likes it. I know lots of harness horses are doing all sorts of disciplines now, but we will see how she likes jumping before sophie has to decide!

Time will tell Laura. Lady is the perfect size and build for Sophie, they look lovely. That being said I know how difficult it is for a horse to go from being used for traps, to being ridden. They do need someone who knows how to support them and school them, and Sophie really isn’t ready for that. As others have said, I think you really need to get a saddler out and get a saddle that fits Lady perfectly, whilst also accommodating Sophie, so she’s comfortable and balanced and safe and that will massively improve her riding and most importantly how Lady feels and moves. You haven’t had a horse anywhere near Lady’s shape before, so no saddle you have is going to be anygood for her and to be honest I’ve never seen Sophie in a saddle that fits her either. Please please try and get someone out.

Lady is a fantastic horse for Sophie. She's what you all should have gotten from the start. She's big, level headed, brave and sweet. And Laura it really dosent matter if she likes you or not, it's about Sophie.

She really is all of those things! It really is worth holding out to get the exact horse you want. The tbing that makes her most special to me is her willingness to do anything sophie desires!

@DayByDayVlogs I've truly never seen Sophie so happy and confident on a horse before. And she flat out just looks good on Lady! Laura Lady is one special horse, you can just tell! She takes care of Sophie as if she was her own kid and enjoys every moment. Shes also something dun for Gabby to hop around on and i lovedd seeing the girls go on a trail ride and Sophie was just all smiles. I'd do everything u can to secure making her a forever horse Laura:)

I just noticed the Fluffy Butt Hut sign, to funny!😂Sam did a really good job on that new coop for sure! I so happy you didn't hurt yurself to bad Laura, i was worried about you!❤Do you plan on getting Posey fixed (or is she)or you gonna let her have some piglets? Posey is getting so fat!!😅Laura It's like Lady has been there forever cause she fit in so well, i think she is a keeper for sure!! Looks like work is getting done out there! Here's one for you Laura, spider monkeys! I am in love with them! I ran across a couple who is raising them and you should see the hugs and lovings them monkeys give their owners! They have a real nice set up for them so they get enough exercise and play time! I love watching them!! Ok see ya's in the next one!! ❌⭕❌⭕❌⭕❌⭕

There is a place here called monkey Island and there are spider monkey's there, I always want to go play with them but your not allowed. I would love to have a monkey or a wolf. They have her on trial so they have to make a final decision during this time. Lady isn't trained for the disciplines that the girls like to show in, she is an ex driving horse.
