just a heads up for the curious, I am not actually married yet! We got our wedding bands and we just...put them on our fingers. We figure it's the best place to keep them :) I've been taking it off for filming so as not to mislead but If forgot to take it off for this video!

The athr palette is a different palette from the original Rose gold palette. The packaging was already sustainable but they used an elastic to keep it close. Kackie reviews beauty has a great video comparing the old and the new Ps: I always love these byop kind of video!

I love the palette you made! For me, it doesn't quite meet the same needs as the pre-made palettes would (those cooler shades.) But, I think you have decluttered shadows that were more similar to the pre-made palette shadows. So maybe you don't need them BC you always preferred the versions you kept. Or, maybe your taste has changed/expanded and it's time to welcome those shades back into your life. Excited to see!

Oh no, Hannah!!! I took Colourpop Snake Eyes over top the dark brown shade from the Lila palette that you skipped. The 2 blended together are an EXACT dupe to Shroud from Alter Ego 😭

The Athr rerelease I believe has two fewer shades and they removed the elastic band that had to be cut off before recycling. The previous packaging didn’t have magnets or a mirror either. Love your videos!! They’re really helping me with my no buy. I have enough palettes to do most looks.🥰

Check out KVD dazzle stick in color Flash Storm, I think it is exactly what you want - purple-grey-taupe with multicolor sparkles. And it is cream and single 😉

I'm a PATHOLOGICAL 'declutterer,' in all aspects of life! But honestly, those are both great palettes that you love.... getting PR is one of the perks that comes with the burdensome job of being a public figure.... why don't you just keep them? I would keep those two.

This is perfect timing. I got an Athr palette in Ipsy and I know I'd only be keeping it for one cool toned taupe-gold shade. I think Fairy Acid from JD Glow may fill the need for it but I'll have to sit down and swatch around my collection.

Inspired me to go rebuild my favorite combo of swampy greens and mustards! I find that sometimes I like to build palettes as an exercise even though I don't always end up using them. Building different combos is fun though and I can easily see that I already have my "perfect" version of whatever in my collection

I'm much more light and airy-fairy with my eyeshadow application than you, Hannah: I got the original Glam palette as a birthday present but I've mostly been using the lighter shimmers and neglecting everything else. This is giving me major inspiration for the mattes and deeper shades, so thank you!!! Love learning from the way you do your makeup :)

I love the tones you picked, but every time you chose between two, you went warmer while I liked the cooler better. They probably fit you better, but I’d love to see you do an “other” look, where you pick the other shade of the two you are choosing from.

The shadow kiss palette has a shimerry dark brown that can also be used to sculpt the crease and also a darkish shimmery lid thing . It's also a bit more worm in that cool context

I love the videos where you build your own palette! I have never bought single shadows before, I had a few eyeshadow palettes that I depotted into a magnetic palette, they are all very good everyday neutral type of shadows (modern renaissance and urban Decay naked etc). Any suggestions on how to get into single shadows as a beginner? I have enough basic shades, and just want to add some fun singles to my collection to jazz it up.

Sydney Grace, JD Glow, etc. have good eyeshadows. JD Glow's Unexpected is one that everyone seems to love. I love it too. It's so pretty. I layered it once with a dark olivish green matte and it pair nicely.

Your palette is so pretty. I don't know if you've seen the new Huda palettes or not. I saw them Thursday after they were announced and duped the vibes with a twist/expanded the Huda Jaguar palette. I added green shades and when I say expanded I have 15 shades instead of 9. It made perfect sense for me to do that as I was going along, just like it made perfect sense for you to add a bronze. Maybe I should dupe the vibes of your palette next, but maybe more like just pair mattes and shimmers with my sparkly shades as my way of duping the vibes. I don't even know if I'll do that. I'm going to enjoy my own Jaguar palette for probably the next week or so along with my other eyeshadows and go from there if I just want to return the eyeshadows to their respective palettes and that be enough or make another custom palette (duping yours or do something else).

This is a great idea, esp. if you have a palette where you love the colorstory, not the formula. Or if you just want to thin out your collection and you are keeping palettes for a couple of shades. Also: Makeup Geek grunge is a very cool toned, ashy brown. Good for a dupe of that shadow called "umbra."

I always enjoy a video like this. This time however, it makes me want to send you a deep brown and a shimmer taupe. These are colors I felt like I had a few months ago then I didn’t. I know you’re not trying to get all of the things, but LORAC has wonderful palettes and they are all magnetic. I like the smaller pans and the versatility. The Noir Palette solved a lot of problems for me and has a fantastic formula. Not that you need more :) I did try a magnet on the Alter Ego palette to see about keeping my faves. Not magnetic. :(

Sis! Next time you depot from a palette, take a magnet (I use a kitchen magnet), place a piece of tissue or parchment or wax paper over the shadow then the magnet on top of that. Boom. Done.

They might not be suited for the custom palette format, but I feel like the two grey/taupe-y shades in the Roén 52° Cool and the 11:11 quad respectively could fit the two shades you wish to dupe out of your collection, both in colour and dimension...

Do you think you'll go out looking for specific replacements for Cava and Sparks when you completely deplete them? I don't feel like I've seen you do anything similar before where you know what your "perfect" (maybe "favorite" is a better word) lipstick/eyeshadow/blush/etc is and then go looking to replace it when it's gone. I'm interested to know if that's even a way of thinking you participate in, or whether, when those shades are gone you'll just move on to whatever is your new favorite.

It's curious, when I use something up I usually just let it go! Unless it's skincare or haircare. I'm a person who loves change, and I often find myself preferring to mix it up even if that means using a less "perfect" product. Because I like change so much, by the time I've used something up completely I'm usually ready for a break from it, even if I loved it the most.
