if you watch this episode in japanese, they didn't get a different va to do the kid voices so it's just their adult va's speaking normally, kinda funny to see these 9 year olds with the voices of grown men
As someone who watched it in Japanese, I can confirm this is true. (When I watched it, I couldn't understand spoken english, just written English, so I watched Japanese with subtitles)
5:04 I love how Larry has his own colour while Miles and Phoneix have eachother's colours Literally going out their way to tell us who the third wheel is
i think this is just weird animation error? in other scenes we see that phoenix has the blue one and miles has the red one. plus earlier in the scene that was timestamped, you can see both phoenix and miles have red sleeves, so its possible miles is holding the red one, hes just, moved places inbetween shots somehow.
As kids Edgworth has a Blue bow tie and the details of Phoenix's shirt are Blue while their clothes have Red as the main colour. When they grow up Phoenix uses Blue and Edgeworth uses Red. The scarf that Edgworth put out is also Blue.
I think he somewhat was in the first game too. They just for some unknown reason committed full on character assassination against him in the next games.
@@TheRealStarAnimatez Nope, later in the flashback, when everyone is accusing Phoenix, she was siding with the class in accusing him. You'd think she would defend him as she was nice to him.
5:30 OKAY SO SHES 7 YEARS YOUNGER THAN MILES SO SHES 2 RIGHT NOW WDGSJSJ THIS /BABY/ HAS A WHIP???? (Riding crop? She has a weapon at the age of two anyways)
At 2 years old, Franziska looks like she’s at least 5, can speak perfect sentences, and isn’t in a car seat that is meant for babies. Doesn’t that feel weird for anyone else??
As an autistic person I love little miles. He’s just nothing like his dad but hyper fixated on law from a young age and then the trauma. He is just so sad but cute
i guess he gained custody of miles as mvk already had two daughters (franziska mentions an older sister in investigations i think, and manfred mentions in turnabout goodbyes that he has a granddaughter with a dog called phoenix) and he had plenty of money (how else would he be dressing like it’s 1799?), while ray is 19, just lost his mentor and his family isn’t mentioned at all, and i don’t think he would be as rich as mvk is so sadly, manfred took in miles :-(
ngl the fact that miles at age 9 not only knew the term "kangaroo court" but also knew it didn't actually involve real kangaroos is really impressive. what a nerd.
According to the canon, at this age he was already studying law in order to become a lawyer when he grew up. He had no friends and wasnt interested in games or cartoons. Thanks to Phoenix and Larry he had a normal childhood although it was short unfortunately(
@@lorelaimorace-kk1xz it's a term used to describe a court-like scenario that totally disregards actual laws, judicial process, etc, so it's therefore incredibly unfair and a mockery to law :) not sure what kangaroos have to do with it, my only joke is they _jump_ to conclusions? idk lmao
This woman was not right though. It doesn’t matter that they are much younger than her, it’s still wrong to abandon animals, people like that should be severely punished.
I mean, considering he read law books and watched the news with his dad for fun prior to the guys introducing him to Signal Samurai, I think he's just always been that way.
this is absolute art. I shall share this on my twitter and annoy my friends on discord with it. Its so beautiful that im currently crying tears of joy and happiness that i found this piece of art before i accidentally lost it forever. Thank you very much. You are a hero
The thing is if you do an adaptation a flashback like this is gold because it’s mentioned just a few times and we don’t really have any details so seeing 9 years old Edgeworth with his friends and when his father is still alive is amazing and the most cute thing ever. The man is so much a stellar character he could do anything and it would be good.
@@taranoodles you can say it’s pretty unnecessary as a whole but you can still find something worth watching if your an AA fan and you want more expression from Edgeworth and some flashback episode to see an animated version of your fantasies about those days.
GAY BABIES !! 😭🏳🌈 Come on, it's just so unfair and so unrealistic that little Miles didn't rush to hug little Phoenix when he gave his keychain back. It's clear he wants to do it and *HE'S 9* , not 50! What kind of 9 years old child _shake hands_ with another 9 years old child when he's really happy?
Something just occurred to me. Larry was going to speak up, but Edgeworth beat him to it. Do you think in an alternate timeline, Phoenix would fall in love with Larry because Larry was faster?
"WHAT DO YOU HAVE AGAINST HIM?" Ikr?! Keep in mind this is the same kid who says "We know that Phoenix is just a dirty thief!" in one of the flashbacks. Like b*tch, do you know Phoenix? Did you see him do it? Did you see him steal other times? Do you have proof? No! So don't act like you know what's going on.
Watching this for the first time i could have sworn Franziska looked at least 6 in that scene, I thought they were supposed to be like 2 maybe 3 years apart only for her to show up in the 'present' (~16 years later) as 18????? 💀 I call BS, no way that child is 2 years old in that scene and speaking in full sentences
At the time, Phoenix was a soon-to-be defense lawyer. Then he became a musician like Gavin. I like how Edgey decides to stand up for Phoenix. They're cute as kids.
I mean most of the child characters in this episode are voiced by girls/women, probably because they couldn't find pre-pubescent male voice actors, or because of child labour laws or something
