Yep! I dated my high school boyfriend a few years after high school. His dad used to physically abuse his mom. His mom and I were close , she called me her daughter in law even if her son and I didn’t work out, in her mind I’d be her #1 lol ❤ Anyway, my ex had one too many drinks and a few too many puffs one night. I stopped by after hanging with my best friend. I guess I was looking too cute or something, and he slapped me as he asked where have I been? That was the FIRST and LAST slap he ever put on me. I was done. No amount of gifts or apologies could make up for it. Ladies never take them back , he Will do it again. Learn the definition of love. Love is the only word that people have their own “opinion “ of what love is. It is a standard definition. Love is action. You will never hurt someone you love. Place the one person you care about the most as an example. Let’s say a child. Would you ever hurt or allow anyone to hurt your child? It’s the same concept with every single relationship . Stay blessed ❤

@@sebinafloyd1121 Right. My dad hit me one time and I used to mess with him when I got older. 😂 He said he didn’t want to but had to because he said he would, and if he didn’t do as he said, I’d lose respect for him at that very moment. Which as an adult I understand him. I was like 4 years old and I wanted to pour a new gallon of milk in my cereal. He said , no let him do it. I insisted that I wanted to pour it. So he said, ok BUT if you drop the milk I will spank you. And dum dum me dropped it 😂😂 and that was my spanking from him. lol I miss my dad ❤

You are certainly telling the truth. This happened to me. Back in the day I heard that " I'll give this marriage 5 years and then I'm gone, so I did 3 years and I was out thank God. Girls get out of abusive situations as soon as possible because I have seen husbands kill wives and wives kill husbands only to do life in prison. Don't let that be you. Also don't get pregnant until 5 years have passed you should know him by then. Remember God will give you the strength to carry on alone if YOU ASK HIM!!!

Alot of these men were abused as children as was my husband or saw abuse in the home as my husband. They need intensive therapy. There is nothing you can do to help them except direct them to therapy, you will have to accompany him because after dealing with him, you may become abusive too, only natural. The first sign of him not sticking to the plane GET OUT AND QUICK remember some one will get killed and someone will do life! DONT LET EITHER ONE BE YOU!!!

Times were different than now. Women didn't have the empathy from the general public or the authorities that they have now. Women were looked at as men's possessions. They did what they were told or else. Physical punishment was acceptable for women and children. Also, there were inequalities in educational resources for women. Women were still expected to get married, have children and take care of the home whether they were college educated with a career or not. So, women didn't have many choices during those times. Things didn't start to change until the late 1980s to early 1990s for women to excel in academia and in the business world. Also, there was very little modern technology during that time such as cell phones, the internet, or social media. None of those luxuries existed before the late 1990s to the 2000s. So, women couldn't just call an Uber and book an Airbnb on her credit card for herself and kids to escape an abusive husband. In most cases, everything was in the husband's name including the credit cards and bank account. If the woman was working, then she had to give her money to her husband in order to keep working. So, who could the battered woman turn to except sympathetic friends and family members for help.
@CatGamer-wc2ij

@@lindajohnson4999 It still is in many poor communities. It isn't about time periods, it is about ghetto acceptance of trash. This is not about white or black either, simply the no-snitch etc culture found in areas, not races. This woman married who she wanted, who had slapped her as a teen. He gets rewarded, meanwhile the guy who would have cupped her face and kissed her offed himself because he was lied to. Meanwhile she brought a child into that abuse. I can't feel bad for her, but for her child yes. She needs to teach women--no more choosing abuse.

Check your bloodline. For example, in my younger days I use to attract married men. Yup. Was in the hospital with a covert and he came to visit every day (was in there because I got sick due to him) and he told me "I'm only here because it's my duty, I want you to know that" He also was in the ER room with me when I came in in an ambulance and I was so afraid my pulse was on 166. He told me in the ER-room after they drew blood and the nurse left, laughing "Haha, you should have seen your arm, the blood spurted in an arch onto the floor when she tried to take a blood test!" Which made me even more afraid. He enjoyed my panic. They enjoy watching us suffer, they're sadists. But get this: God sees and hears, he has been homeless the past 2 years. He now wanders the streets looking for shelter and his own family doesnt care about him bc his father is a hyper controlling psychopath and his mother destroyed by his father and his sister got the hell away from it. So yes, God does punish these..beings.

My sister was murdered at the age of 36. Born February 16, 1958. Town of Nogales Arizona. Her death was classified as a suicide, place of death Tucson Arizona, her ex-husband after her 6 months of divorced Jesus Vega 3rd was a violent man toward her and 3 children, he was never a suspect. There was a bribe with the detective at the scene. 3 years later, the tuscon police officers I spoke to concluded he had murdrred her. I decided to investigate her case. I would personally like to thank the officers, even though the department decided not to investigate and that she took her life. Domestic violence was very present, very much for 15 years of her marriage. My family were cowards not to do NOTHING. Not out of fear but out of hate toward my sister. Reason i think he murdered her because he is a pedifile abusing her and their kids sexually. He attempted to muderer her when the kids were little, then tried to take out his children by poisoning them with an overdose of asprines. He is free. It's been almost 24 years of her passing. ❤

Yes all that is true. But its mainly an emotional thing keeping you there. You love this person. Your mental state is so damaged that you get used to living in the dysfunction as this woman says. It’s so true. Trauma bonds are very real. Its hard when your protector is also your abuser. Then your self esteem is so low you don’t believe you deserve better. It is often a process to leave . Everybody’s story is different. When you are out it doesn’t even make sense to us why we stayed so long and we feel like idiots. None it makes any sense even to the victim until much later. I always say there is no point explaining it because if you havent been through it you wont understand.
