you can think that this video wasn’t necessary, but protecting myself against lies and insults is something i really value. i wholeheartedly believe that if i had not made this video, Rocket would have continued to spread this misinformation about me. i needed to nip it in the bud here and now. the actual allegations from Rocket are not what i take seriously, but rather the act of sharing lies and the manipulation of the people that trust them. this kind of thing is not ok. this video was also necessary to uphold my own integrity. i’m not often actually offended, but the fact that Rocket thought they could get away with such obvious lies is the most insulting thing about all of this. i would dm them to ask one last time if they want to apologise, but i am unfortunately blocked. i am worried to upload this video as i know not everyone will agree with this approach, but i truly believe that this is the best course of action. also, if anybody says ‘it wasn’t that serious’ then im ignoring you, because you obviously didn’t watch the video. i love you all, - tal
If somebody criticizes you for addressing something that needs to be addressed in order to sustain your reputation in this community then that’s stupid. There’s no problem with doing that.
I wholeheartedly respect you, and I myself got into simiar dumb drama, you use your brain more than the average person and I know for a fact that you are right. Don't let negative comments about yourself bring you down, just be you, if people don't like it, then they must move on, you are you and no-one else will change you.

One of the artists here! Everything Tal is saying is correct, but this person is also not a bad person and we should not dehumanize or bully them. Despite no longer being friends with them (we ended the friendship on good terms and said "i love you" before we ended it) I would still like to say that they are not a horrible person. Also for anyone thinking this video was taking it too far, Rocket used this situation unethically, even if unintentional, and Tal is defending himself the only way he knows how. i’m not trying to downplay rocket’s actions or the situation as a whole, but this is clearly a falling out between two sixteen-eighteen-year-olds that never should’ve been thrusted into the public eye and i do respect you for speaking up, tal, especially considering how public this has gone. as someone your age, i personally think your anger is justified and you’re doing a great job at maturely handling this. the tally hall fandom is a mess and hope you’re both doing okay.
The tally hall community is genuinely the most INSANE place I’ve ever been. There’s so many kind and supportive people, but there’s also so many rude/“interesting” people as well. It’s genuinely such a gamble on who you meet. It’s crazy now.
Dear tal, when I was in middle school I had this friend who was nice to everyone but began treating me very badly in private, over the course of a year it got worse and worse and most of our other friends didn’t believe me because she put on a nice persona around others, I am 19 and out of school and it still haunts me sometimes, I let it get to me I was so caught up in proving that I was a good person, i can see how visibly upset and rattled you are at this that someone you trusted it trying to ruin your reputation, with this video you have set the record straight as much as you can, there may be people who won’t believe you but you must not let that make you think your a bad person, all that matters are the people who are willing to listen and hear you out, take a moment to have a couple deep breaths and a cup of tea

I'm on tally tumblr and I saw that post and reblogged thinking it was true and honestly I have no idea why I thought it was true without any evidence , they did tell me to take the reblog down but saying that they were harrased for that post. Im probably gonna block them now

reminds me of a situation involving a good friend of mine...the main thing that seems to drive people to do this is a lack of self-worth and trying to "prove" themself to a crowd of people that probably wasn't immediately kind towards them...my prayers goes out to this person and I hope they can heal from what hurt them enough to do this

It's totally great to take creative liberties with your own art, but if you're being commissioned, it is important to follow the requests of the person who is LITERALLY paying for the piece. I'm not saying this was the intention whatsoever, but it sort of feels like a scam to churn out something that is so heavily altered from what was originally asked for.

Showing their face wasn't cool, but it was done because you were defending yourself from harassment and lies spread by them and when you realized they didn't want the images public you immediately took responsibility and apologized even though you were mad at them. So really I wouldn't say you did anything wrong that you haven't already taken accountability for. Rockit really needs help and I hope they get it.

I’ve been an artist on commission and every time I did anything I double checked with my employer. This isn’t your fault I knew before I started that it was what they wanted especially since it was a physical mural on their wall. I’m sorry you had to deal with that you did the right thing and you’re allowed to make changes bc you’re the one paying for it and honestly? You were super nice and chill about it and probably could have been harsher if you wanted. Good luck in the future I hope you get your posters made
Dang. As a 13 yo artist that uses ms paint, I have been in a situation just like this but the roles were switched. The “client” gave 10% creative control to me. I usually do that! They told my classmates that I had taken most of, if not all control of the poster I did. I had dms to prove my point and gave a bad taste in people mouths. I never talked to him again. His friends (jocks) believed him, didn’t even look at the evidence and stained my reputation. Thankfully, I have one “jock” friend that is friends with the “client’s” friends. They finally understood the situation and never spoke to him again. Soon left the school. Apparently, one of my friends friends was friends with the “client” and he told them that it was just to stain my reputation.
The internet can be genuinely terrible. You never know who you can trust. It's so easy to lie online. There's drama everywhere and I hate it. Why can't I just enjoy stuff and have there not be any reality-breaking controversy involved!? Best wishes to you, Tal.
