Whaaaaaaat?!?! It just worked for me. My screen was totally green. I did this for about 10 mins or so and all of a sudden bam back to normal. I can't believe this worked. I'm going to try it with a phone that went blank about a year ago. Unreal. Thank you!!!
It worked! I think it's caused by water in the phone, as I saw another person with the same issue and we've both got water in our iPhones. Here's what fixed it for me: 1. Force power off iPhone, then shake it hard for a minute. Tap it gently and hit it on your lap. 2. Turn it on. For me the issue was still there. 3. Turn it off (without force powering off). Shake it hard for a minute. 4. Turn it on. The issue is now mostly fixed for me, with a few remaining green spots. 5. Put the phone somewhere warm/hot for a few minutes to evaporate the water. Such as on a heater (I did this while the phone was turned on and saw the spots disappear). 6. (Maybe not necessary) Force powered off and shook it again before turning on. The issue is now solved! Repeat if necessary in future
I tried this for a minute and it didn't work. Then I tried watching other videos but while doing that I keep shaking my phone and tapping on it and IT WORKED. It eventually worked and the screen is back on! Now I can back up the phone and not have to worry about losing everything. Thank you for this video and instilling some hope in me!!
I bought a green screen note 10. I gave this a try. When i smacked my phone (turn always display on), green lines popped up. I thought it got worst. I freaked Out. Yet i kept smacking. After two minutes, it WORKED. But theres a trick. Turn always display on, tap once (dont push the Power button to open the phone. Simply tap once to make the always display on. Then tap twice) ** always display on (tap to show, not always show. To save battery). Thankss so much
it first happened to me months ago and i fixed it with this video but ever since the first time it happened it’s came back like 5 times but again fixed it it’s this video again and again
i had my phone doing this 2 days ago saw this and i was really reluctant to do this. decided to yolo this today and now the issue is fixed by just hitting it in the back a couple of times. Thank you so much i came back to type this comment as i thought it'd be helpful for others. cheers
hey. many thanks to you. it worked for my iPhone 13 Pro Max with a white screen. I just slapped the display medium hard twice and it turned back on. I don't know how long will it last. wanted to ask you if you ever faced the issue again?. also I went to Apple Store yesterday and did scheduled a free replacement for next week since they acknowledge this issue and get you a one time free screen replacement.
Wait excuse me so I’ve had a similar situation but basically whenever I’d turn up Arne volume a green screen would come on like it would flash green but the thing is some translator would go off in a different language and it would go back to English saying something about the iPhones location I don’t know if I’m being tracked please help!

This worked for me, I shook/tapped/banged on it and did several hard resets and eventually got the screen to power back on. Phone has been dead/green screen for 2 months before this, not sure how long this will last but long enough for me to backup/sync at least. Thanks!
omg it actually worked lol, I was a bit more gentle and instead of smashing it on the table, I just laid my phone on the table and tapped it sternly with my fingers. thanks!
mine is a 256gb X from the past 3 days its doing this ..the screen comes and goes now since yesterday its just green and flickering.its bugging me a lot
Well at least you had it fixed. Right now, Face ID and portrait mode are the only things that I needed to solve right now, turns out it’s not fixable by software. 😭

Is this flickering screen issue permanent? Is this the sign to upgrade our phones? Got so many confusions ! It happened with me twice but rn it’s working. I’m in a thought if I should change the display or buy a new phone or no need of either of them?
I had same issue so I just stopped using my phone for about a few hours, when I went back to check on it the screen was back to normal but the problem is that my taps are very delayed and sometimes not even registering. I'm stuck on my lock screen because I can't swipe up :(
Lmao my six year old brother came with his phone not working and flickering green. I was like well fuck it why not try it. Now instead of the screen not working it’s only green on the upper corner. Well better then nothing ig 😂

This is actually the most primitive way of fixing something...... But I know what I'll do when my phone screen gets green LOL Doesn't matter anyway if it breaks I'm still gonna bring it to a repair shop.

You the plug! Feb 19th 2020 I dropped my 11 Pro Max at work and got the green screen. I ended up keeping the phone but buying a 12 pro max the same day. I tried the phone every few months and still green screen. I just tried it today 8/29/21 and still green. saw this video and tried it... yall wouldnt believe its working and im irked lol but so greatful
My advice is to not punch the screen...I moved my phone around like on the video and it worked! But my screen still had green lines and so I punched it several times & now it doesn’t wake up :(
Same thing happened to mine twice already, and I fixed it both times literally by "high five-ing" the LCD hard. Had to do it harder for the 2nd time though.
@@adlen8454 it’s not water damage. My phone has never been underwater. It’s an iPhone 12 mini. They’re also waterproof. So that’s not the reason. But a good guess
@@adlen8454 whenever it goes green, I just smack it and it goes back to normal again. I smack it on the side and not too hard. It could be the hardware inside malfunctioning honestly. Something knocked loose
its something with the top of the iphone screen cuz i literally woke up thjs morning with it and i was tapping it did nothing, So i just opened up the screen a little bit since its already coming out a little it wasnt too risky or anything and the screen returned when i opened the top of my iphone screen a little bit.
my phone JUST fell down full case cover and protective glass, not a single scratch, and i got a green screen.tried your method but it only caused purple like "bruises" on the screen. 2 month old phone. fml

Worked for me iphone 11 except I threw it as hard as I could against a pillow for about 30 minutes then under a fan for 6 hours, in the sun for 2 hours and back under a fan for 6 hours. Then took Sim card out and back in the sun for 3 hours and like nothing happened. I would just put it in the sun next time. Yiu have to evaporate the moisture.
