unfortunately right after posting this video the speedrun moderators re-reviewed the speedrun and removed it from the leaderboards because I "constantly tab out of the game" and it's "not actually a speedrun". Could this be the influence of High Demon Elgrim??

I honestly think Sam 4's reign was a cut above the rest. His first line involved a bird bomb and "the darkness is really getting to me". He then created the iconic High Demon Elgrim and "Babagaboosh".

The fact that the AI just decided to create a totally different character out of nowhere by the name of "High Demon Elgrim" and that the character stuck around to the end is one of the most internet thing ever.

Coming back to this now, the mass Sam-icide that happens at around 50:02 is still so funny to me. The mental image of a man introducing and then killing several clones of Sam in a row simply because he made them slightly wrong over and over is too much for me!

It wasn't until a few minutes later when Doug was talking about his coding process that he accidentally pressed the button again which killed Sam 17

I noticed when it comes to names, no one ever says "My name is..." except for Sam. Everyone else either doesn't give a name, gives a fake name (Exogomper and Mud), or uses the specific language "You can call me..." (Otto). This reluctance from literally everyone to give a real name honestly reminds me of tales of the Fae, where giving them your real name means they own you. My only conclusion, then, is that this world is not something from Sam's imagination, but is actually some twisted Fae realm, and it's a miracle Sam didn't get killed or enslaved.

Stuck in a never ending nightmare, Sam’s goal is to recover his superhero gear, but in the end, his existence is merely a form of entertainment.

I watched the original VOD since clips of it were put up on the shorts channel, and I still love how Sam 19 was like the worst possible Sam ever but then you gave him Cheese and Crackers and he got so good at it that when you told him to stop he just straight up died.

DougDoug legitimately gets some of the best donor jokes. "It might be time for Doug 2" and "luckily, High Demon Elgrim can only be summoned by sacrificing 18 children" are so good

I like to think that whenever a Sam screeches/moans, it’s the souls of the past Sam’s entering the new Sam’s mind, the new memories flooding his brain. Forever plagued with all the times the past Sam’s were either executed or committed suicide.

To anyone wondering how this game could be speedrun in 43 seconds, it would appear that you can skip literally every cutscene in the game by clicking. It basically boils down to memorizing the places to click in what order. It looks like Sam quickly teleporting around in a rhythmic timing.

My theory about some of the nonsense is that when the AI is considering the "realm of darkness" it is assuming a connection with demonic forces, and when it considers sailing down a river it associates it with piracy.
