I forced Twitch Chat to play my unethical D&D campaign 

Imagine being brought to life, already on fire, dying, and in immense pain and you find your life's purpose was simply to fall on an annoying mayor.

I love how the wizard was consistently badass across all of her incarnations and that the first one decided she was a kickflipping bard divorcee and the rest of the chat accepted it as canon.

This VOD has so many great lines. “Guys! This fridge has got hands!” “We have kids?!” “It’s trying to vore me!”

Vicious mockery is my favourite dnd spell because you can just kill people by insulting them Guard: “you are under arrest” Bard with vicious mockery: “your mother” Guard: *just dies*

“We have your staff. You're covered in milk. The Walmart is burning. Give up.” This goes hard

Porky’s biggest mistake was at 3:00 because by jumping out of that window he proved he was durable. He was asking to be thrown at the enemy every 5 seconds

I love how the Barb was one number away from rolling a Nat 1. It would've been a hilarious ending if he wasn't able to break the staff like how he wasn't able to break the mop.

I find it ironic how every single thing the barbarian tried to do during the final act had failed or worked against him somehow until he made one final roll to try and kill porky

One of the many things that cracked me up in this was the fact that they didn't actually physically hurt the dino nugget. They just made it cry to death.

Not enough people talking about Sam being the witch at the start and casting "Babagaboosh".

1:12:05 I cannot stress enough how amazing this was, Barbarian the "very stupid bro" in the most tense moment come up with an idea and wizard reassuring him to go with it and it actually works and also manages to take down Porky has to be the hypest moment in the history of the DougDoug Cinematic Universe

The fact the barbarian got mostly low roles but still somehow contributed to most of the game is peak DND

Wafferscotch did amazing. 0:05 Campaign poster, entering the Walmart. 20:40 Barbarian slicing the Hotpocket in half while the Bard lays in milk. 32:56 Barabarian in his dress punching the Mannikin disguised as him. 44:45 Wizard freezing the Mop and giant Roomba. 1:02:25 Wizard kickflipping and magic missiling the Legosaur, while the Barbarian pogs. xD 1:14:43 And finally Barbarian snapping the staff in the middle of town, while the Wizard holding her nail gun and the Bard holding his limited edition Nintendo Switch with a level 50 Charizard cheer him on.

I love how twitch chat didn't break the curse of the single braincell, meaning that their could canonically be future campaigns with the same characters controlled by twitch chat.

Considering how the Bard spent his whole time healing people and failing at getting laid, I'd say he missed his calling as a monk

When the bard nearly died I expected an emotional scene where the wizard would cast the forbidden un-divorce spell so that she could be married to him again and thus able to share one of her hearts with him. Gotta admit though, saving the bard by just bluntly kicking him was way more in character and had me dying.

I love how the wizard tried buying soup in the clothing department. A true woman of culture.

This story is incredible. At first glance, it seems like a boring story of three adventurers following a basic storyline, but after watching, you find that it’s so much more. To begin with, Porky’s eventual betrayal is expertly foreshadowed, so subtle that it’s unforeseeable the first time you watch, but then you realize that the story might be deeper, that maybe Porky did have good intentions at the beginning, but the torment he receives from the adventurers changes him, molding him to be more like them to the point that he would betray them. Another incredible plot point is the nature of the three main characters’ goals. Each treasure obtained by them reflects something within their personality. The orc wanted to be prettier, and so he took the dress. But, in the end, he found that the true beauty was within himself all along. As for the wizard, she took the nailgun to represent her desire to rebuild her relationship with the bard, nail by nail. Lastly, the bard took the Limited Edition Let’s Go Pikachu Nintendo Switch™ because, throughout the entire story, he was a manchild who didn’t really care about the others and would rather play Let’s go Pikachu in his basement than pay child support.

I'm actually impressed at how well designed the Walmart dungeon is. Difficulty progression is on point, and every floor has unique mechanics which keep things interesting. It's inspiring, really. And "Cleanup on isle 5" was one of the most badass action hero one-liners I've heard in recent years. Great players all around!

This was such a good idea. The AI voices for the players was a perfect way to bring life to the characters. I love how the characters’ personalities developed with each twitch chatter who played them. It was set up so damn well with the maps, the enemies, the special effects, everything. Doug ran the game very well - obviously he’s been a dungeon master before. I hope to see more of this in the future!!

As someone who played and DM-ed many DnD games before (I honestly expected nothing of chat) this was actually very well an and played game. The players had a lot fo fun, they took the game seriously and not seriously enough as it should be, they played their characters very well and they even craftd a bit of lore for them. Honestly this was just great.

SPOILERS This definite played out well. Good pacing, solid DM, crazy rolls in crazy situations, it had romance, tears, bloodshed, motivational moments, comedic downfalls, one-liners, just the right density and numeracy of flavor text to make the characters not only likable, but blend well together too. They even made the roles their own, and future players stuck with the running jokes. I personally like the barbarian, colloquially personified as the dense character, comes up with the idea to turn Walmart sentient to kill the plot twist villain. It's the kind of character growth I love to see.

If this continues I honestly hope it's with the same characters. I'm like... unimaginably invested in the Bard and Wizard's romance.

The wizard was the absolute beast out of the group, with her kick flips and her attacks, as well as LITERALLY REVIVING THE BARD WITH A KICK, LIKE BRO WHO GETS A NAT 20 ON THAT?!?!

Homestly Doug's storytelling is so engaging and also hilarious, you can really tell he puts a lot of effort into these ideas. He was the perfect DM

"This is for my husband" was maybe the sweetest way to end the Bard and Wizard divorce arc (I'm just gonna pretend the Bard asking for another divorce after failing to rizz up the dragon was a joke). The chatters made these characters so funny and endearing

Wizard somehow consistently being the carry of the group proves that being able to do kickflips is paramount to one's personal success.

If Doug did a video with other RU-vidrs, each of their chats could be a character in the campaign. That could be so funny. Each chat can vote on their specific characters traits, and do a new DND style campaign like this.

I loved the development of the characters regardless of who controlled them - Wizard and Bard were exes, then they rekindled their marriage, and now they might even have a polycule going with Barbarian

I got bored, so here are some character concepts for any future sessions of this game Rogue The rogue plays hard and fast. He has an AC of 14 so he can be a little squishy at times, but he more than makes up for it in his speed and wit, dashing around the battlefield with his dual daggers, and striking when enemies least expect it. Ac - 14 Every turn - sneak attack Gets stronger if the rogue manages to sneak up on an enemy Once per floor - stealth mode The rogue becomes stealthy until they get hit by an attack, or land an attack. Their AC increases to 16 and sneak attacks strength buff is guaranteed to trigger when they land an attack. Once per floor - Pickpocket The rogue steals something from an enemy. That enemies attacks becomes weaker, and the rogue gains a useful item (determined by Doug based on what enemy gets pickpocketed) Once per stream - Disguise The rogue disguises themselves as an enemy. They must make a check every turn to maintain this disguise. While disguised, the rogue gains that enemies abilities until hit by an attack, or until they fail the check, at which point they transform back to their original form Warlock The warlock is a destructive magic user, who's demonic pact allows them to literally rain down hell on enemies. They have an AC of 12, so are vulnerable to enemy attacks. There magic can also be a bit temperamental at times, with its strength depending on their demonic patron Every turn - eldritch blast The warlock fires a blast of dark energy at an enemy. If it hits, Doug rolls on a random table as it deals a random effect to the enemy Once per floor - tender tentacles A clutch of tender tentacles reach out and grasp an enemy. If it hits, that enemy cannot move until their next turn Once per floor - Warped wings For the next 3 turns, the warlock sprouts demonic wings. These wings allow the warlock to fly and double his movement speed. The warlock can perform another action on the turn he uses this move. Once per session - summon fiend The warlock summons a fiend. It has three hit points, an AC of 15, and a claw attack. Every turn, the warlock makes a check to maintain control of the fiend. If he fails, he loses control of the fiend, and it becomes a neutral party that attacks whatever is closest. Druid The druid gains power from nature, and vice versa. with an AC of 14, and wielding a staff they command the armies of nature, including animals and plants. They use these powers to push and pull enemies around, taking control of the battlefield. Every turn - thorn whip The druid attacks with a thorned vine. If the attack hits, the enemy is moved two squares towards the druid. Once per floor - animal spirit The druid summons a tiny animal spirit to perform tasks for him. The spirit goes before the druid every turn, has one hit point and an AC of ten. Its attacks deal no damage, instead weakening the enemies next attack. Once per floor - bramble bush The druid creates a bramble bush. The bush takes up a total of six spaces in any shape, and if someone walks into it, they must succeed a check, or take damage. They can also thorn whip, or stampede an enemy into or through a bush. Once per session - stampede The druid sends forth a stampede that attacks every enemy in a three square wide line. And pushes them back two squares if they're hit. These next few are the ones that are a little lesser known classes, but I thought they'd be cool in concept Artificer The artificer combines magic and technology in a beautiful majesty. They have an AC of 15, which is nothing to scoff at. They command an arsenal of magical machines, blasting away with aoe damage each and elemental attacks. And also a Glock 19. Every turn - shock gauntlets The artificer wields a pair of gauntlets that can punch with an electrical shock. They deal extra damage to enemies weak to electricity, and conduct damage between adjacent enemies Once per floor - Flame bomb Hits everyone in a three by three area nearby. Stronger against enemies weak to fire. Once per floor - Frost blaster Fires a cone of ice forward, that goes three squares forward, and one additional square wider on both sides every space forward it goes. Stronger against enemies weak to ice. Once per session - Glock 19 This ancient artefact is almost impossible to fully understand. The artificer needs to roll a 18 or higher to use it, but if you do, it can instantly kill one enemy. Dragoon The dragoon is an armoured knight, charging forward with his spear and with honour in his heart. He has an AC of 16, making him hard to hit, and specialises in charges and leadership Every turn - Spear Dash. When attacking, the dragoon can choose to move forward an additional two squares in a straight line, stopping if he hits an enemy. Once per floor - Spear Jump The dragoon jumps four spaces, moving over obstacles and enemies, and attacking immediately when he lands. Once per session - Dragonfire Lance For the next three turns, The dragoon leaves a trail of fire wherever he moves, including additional movement granted by spear dash and jump I'll be honest, I'm not the best at game design, so any balanced based critiques are welcome. I might make more in the future if I get bored again

Anyways I just had to tell you how insane cool I find all your ideas and specificly this dnd idea with the chat as main protagonist. Honestly love this style of simplified dnd, did this with my friends when first getting into it in highschool and some of my fondest memories are from it.

the next final boss for your next campaign should be "Amalgamation" the gimmick? the entirety of twitch chat controls it via polls and clickmaps. Halfway through the fight, Amalgamation splits into two, allowing A Crew and Z crew to exist. the downside though, is that the heroes know all the bosses' moves, because you'd have to show the different moves to twitch chat.

It's insane how Doug, while setting up a meme adventure, actually created an incipit where the characters are actually personally interested in solving the problem. A lot of people can't even do that in a normal campaign.
