I'm not even American so I don't celebrate Thanksgiving, but I do want to take the time to thank you for all these years, I've been watching since I was 16 and now I'm 24, it's been a long time, my friend, and I appreciate everything we've been through, keep going, David, we love you! 🤍
Steven, when you said “and…?” You were only saying what we were thinking. You’re an amazing couple and we all wish the best to both of you. Happy Thanksgiving!
The cottage pie would be a great way to use up any leftover veggies too. Dice up those roast carrots, parsnips, and brussel sprouts and toss them in with the meat.
The only leftover that becomes an issue, in our house, is the turkey after everything else runs out. Without cranberry, stuffing etc, the turkey gets very monotonous. The pho especially is a great way to deal with that! I might try it!
To think it's been eigth years since your first thanks giving recipe test is crazy. I've followed you for about that amount of time and learnd so much english and cooking stuff through your videos. You are one of my favourite creators and I just wish you, Steven and all your friends and family the best of luck :)
I absolutely love pho! I’m very lucky to live somewhere that has a good sized Vietnamese and Hmong population in addition to Chinese. There are several places that serve authentic pho just in my city in our metro area. And when you see the place full of them, you know you’ve found a good one. My first introduction to pho was when I was invited to a birthday party for a former student’s son 25 years ago. I could have eaten bowl after bowl of it!
I remember watching your videos in 2016 and loving them! It’s crazy that despite how much time has passed and how many things have changed that I have always loved watching your videos. It takes a lot to stand the testament of time on the internet and you have done it with grace!
I was very pleased with my leftovers this year. We had a big football game the day after so I wanted to make something game food appropriate. Used the leftover cranberry sauce in a homemade BBQ sauce which became shredded BBQ turkey sliders (on leftover rolls) and turned the leftover mashed potatoes into crispy potato croquettes.
I made a similar thing with my left over turkey, corn, mac and cheese, and the sauce was the leftover gravy and heavy cream with all my mashed potatoes. It was SO good!!!
I feel like leftover turkey and gravy could be used instead of the beef :0 Just add some fresh mirepoix and some peas and et voila! That way you use up more leftovers!
I like making leftover flautas/taquitos with rolled up turkey and stuffing and we thin out some leftover mash with a lil heavy cream and cheese for dip. Or just all all the leftovers we normally have (turkey, mash, stuffing, corn) in empanadas with cranberry sauce or gravy on the side
Soon after my parents were married they had a bunch of left over mashed potatoes and my father described cottage/Sheppard's pie to my mother. She made a version based on her Russian heritage and my father loved it. It became the day after Thanksgiving meal. He told her not to ask her family for his mother's version, since her version was so much better. Of course that recipe is lost now, since I did not get the recipe from her before she died.
I love chicken phó. The first time i made it, i made it too sweet 😭. Usually with my turkey leftovers, i make noodle soups bc i always seem to get sinus infections around this time of the year
I’m a firm believer that Thanksgiving Leftover Stromboli is the best use for these leftovers… So good in fact my family has made 3 Thanksgiving dinners I the past year just to be able to make the Stromboli a few times after the fact!
It’s probably like when I hear anyone say “chicken burger”. It destroys my soul even though I know it does not matter. (They’re never talking about ground chicken, they’re always talking about a chicken sandwich, and it drives me crazy.)
@@JennRighterI mean in many places outside the us, if burger buns are used…. It’s called a burger regardless of what is put in the buns. I’m from Australia for example, and it’s that way here 🤷♀️ If a roll is used. We call it a roll. A wrap, well a wrap etc.
I effin hate crepes!!! lol watching u make them remind me of when I worked for Fairway and I had to make 100 pounds of them ugh 😂😂 love ur vids David ❤
4:19 I got off the Matt Rife train when I saw an interview with him on TikTok a few months ago. He gave me the ick 🤢… I guess my spidey senses were on point 😏
David, we love you. 💚♥️💚♥️💚 Friday evenings (or Saturday mornings), RU-vid just wouldn't be the same without you. I would love to see you collab with Emmy, Quang Tran, Future Canoe, Beryl Shereshewsky & Lisa Nguyen. I think those would be such fun collabs & you all would have interesting stuff to learn from & teach each other. BTW: You & the boy are so cute ♥‿♥ I see we share the same love language - teasing our significant others!! LOL!! To me, that's what helps keep a relationship spicy & fresh - jokes & a great sense of humor. Husband & I are pushing 20 yrs& we say we can never remember if we've been together FOREVER or just a little while lol. Here's hoping for the best, happiest holiday season to you and everyone you care for. I hope all your wishes come true💚♥️💚
Awwww!! thank you sweetie♥️ That just made MY week!!💚 You make our RU-vid watching on the weekends. We always look forward to yr videos & have such a good time watching them. The one thing we have been wanting to see is the David Seymour origin story! LOL! Like what got you into cooking (I'm going to guess at least partly having an Italian family lol I'm Italian & Greek so learning to cook was just a given. I was in the kitchen from the time I could hold a spatula!) What is your other background in cooking? Restaurants? Cooking school or classes? Do you dislike Rachel Ray as much as I do? LOL!! Her old traveling on only $40 a day show INFURIATED me not just as a former server (but yeah that was a lot of it) it's just so skanky to shortchange waitstaff like she encouraged ppl to do!! We would love to see some more Greek cooking too!! & I think a fun episode could be a comparison of the biggest name diners' in Rochester's GARBAGE PLATES!! You should also check out Akis channel. youtube.com/@akispetretzikisen?si=MfU8_Og6c1lXFCDj if you do another Greek episode, I think it might be fun to see how many different versions of Spanakopita there are on YT!! My sister and I ended up in a Spanakopita rabbit hole one day& OMG! Everyone makes it their own way!! Some ppl even use DEVIL CREAM in the filling!! LOL! It's crazy how many versions there are!! (I HIGHLY recommend trying to make your own phyllo dough for it. It's not as thin & delicate as puff pastry or store bought phyllo, its more like halfway between that & pita bread. It's so crispy crunchy delicious. I guarantee you will love it. & Its rly not that hard to make. Rolling it out & stretching it is probably the hardest part but if you can recruit an extra set of hands, it makes it a lot easier!!) I was so excited to see Quang in one of yr videos!! He's an absolute madman but man can he cook!! We love you David! Keep up the great content!! 🌈💚♥️💚🌈
Is that your always pan that wasn't working very well? Because my always pan was GREAT for awhile, but then it just kind of died. I never had it on too high of a heat and always hand washed it and never used anything to scratch it up but still... it's always sticking now.
"Leftover shepherd's pie" the name of it says, despite only using leftover mashed potato /lh I joke I joke; it'd probably be a great way to use up some leftover singular ingredients as well
