I found the WEIRDEST old Mopar EVER at this farm estate: You won't believe what it was used for!

I was in a junkyard in Northern Indiana about 20 years ago looking for some parts for our body shop. I came across an old rusty 1970 Ford Galaxie? I was shocked to find out it had a four speed on the floor and a 429 V8. It had a regular run of the mill paint job on it and boring rims with hub caps. That car has to be worth a fortune????

That Flatbed Hay Hauler is something I have never seen. Maybe a polka band could use it for July 4th parades. Drive slow and entertain the crowds.

The Fury would be a weapon with all the big block driv e line .

Those Massey combines probably have Chrysler industrial engines. Flathead sixes could be the 251 or 265, either will make a good swap into a Plymouth Dodge DeSoto or Chrysler from 1954 or earlier. Plymouth and Dodge require relocating the front motor mounts, DeSoto and Chrysler bolt in.

Steel spreader is International. Amish really don't use IH spreaders as much as the New Idea models because they are built much lighter than N I's. AL B.

Man, you could make one really good Polara our of those three.....Polara was top of the line in the midsize class, Dodge's 880 was the real top of the line of the full sized Dodge cars for 1964......(and I think the best looking of the whole group, although I love them all!)

Metallic Brown blazer is an 80, yes that headlight treatment is one year only. Does look very solid, be an easy fix up. 2 tone Blazer a 79, the only other year that had the die cast headlight bezel (Round light -79/ Square light 80); it would be a fairly easy fix. What you didn't catch was minor step change in the interiors- Console change- 73 to 79 is one style, 80 changed to version used thru end of production, 1991. Dashpad n door panels would change in 81 & run thru end of production also. The 79 was no doubt a pretty truck new, hope it gets saved.

cousin mentioned the 60's 3 tons used the forged cranks, 350's used LT1's 366's were 396 some 352 fords used the 427 block(screw in frost plugs tell it) Dodge he thinks 67? had forged and farm equipment with gas engines used HP stamped blocks and 2 barrel carbs, something to confirm.

Thanks for posting. Looks like real use of the place was around the late 80s early 90s. International 4wd tractors are early-to-mid 80s. Bale stackers were excellent if one had a load of hay that had to be put in quick. Genuine Ford accessory guard (brightwork in the grille also uncommon) was a first for me, as well. Will bet the F1 will go higher than normal. Highly accessorized Blazer/Jimmy was likely a special order. Monte Carlo was nice at one time. Kids with bricks should have had butts kicked.

Those 2 Dodges are worth having 318 poly is a good motor nothing wrong with push bottom auto strong auto.

Need to look up classic tractor collectors there's a lot of these little guys that rebuild their old tractors and they look for and find old equipment to rebuild and pull behind their classic tractors and show off how they work they've been known to drive across country to find stuff

'62,'63,64, Dodge, Plymouth with 426 hemis were tearing up the drag strips back in the day. Couple. of local gas stations were competing against each other!!

There are several years for the mid 20's Dodge trucks that were built by the Graham brothers before they sold that line to Dodge and started their own car business.

The color on the 2nd Blazer was a common option in this region.

The F1 with the grille guard should be a 48 if the grille hasn't been changed out. 48 was the only year to use stainless grille bars. The 30's Plymouth was a 37 . 38 had a shorter grille and a sheet metal connector panel below grille between the front fenders.

I like to think those bricking throwing kids were caught and are buried under one of those fields… 😂

64 dodge polara, friends grandmother had the one she bought new for thirty years, anniversary edition, 383 with pushbutton auto, was very fast

Had 3 1,. With a 292, 2, with a 350, 3, had a V12 could not afford to use it except for the harvest season and you could drag a overloaded truck and a trailer on the back stacked to the hilt. Got the same milage empty as it did full a little more than 4/5.

13:42..that's a '77-'78 Dodge truck..only 2 years for that grill style..I always liked that grill setup, and the parking lights in the grill..helped freshen up the look of the '72-vintage truck... wondered why they only used it 2 years, then went back to something similar to the '72-'76 look again for '79-'80..even went back to the older style parking lights between the bumper and grill..I actually think this one is a '77, because I'm fairly sure the '77 used clear parking light lenses, and the '78's used amber ones..not 100% on that...

That 70 Fury Gran Coupe and the 73? Polara are both good cars. The Gran Coupe was top of the line. It was supposed to come with brown Paisley fabric interior and Brown Paisley full vinyl top, but I suppose other upholstery could be ordered.

..7:28..NEVER, never underestimate the pulling power of a 292 inline 6!..I'd put them up against a big block for pure lugging..much rather have them than a small block in a truck like that...now fuel economy?..that's another matter!..not much, if any, difference in fuel consumption from a 292 to a big block...

The way they like to do it so everyone don't see it or blend in. Like to keep it handy but not to the point that it's in the way. Grandfather was a good old fashioned farmer, started with horses and converted to tractor in the end of the depression years right before the War.

Is that 4x4 tractor an International with articulating steering? Could be rare. Model A powered contraption looks like home made engineering at its best. The Nat Gas or Propane tank could hint at oil well now capped on property. Doesn't look like any of the tractors were setup for running on LPG or Nat Gas so wondering they siphoned the gas out of the well head to heat and cook with to be off the grid back in the 1940's? None of truck's showed LPG or Nat Gas conversion either.

propane trailer is for a corn dryer.I remember thou's Monte Carlo's it was very popular to put Anson Weir Wheels on them when they where only a few day old.

Weird tractors are IH 36,35, or 3788's. A great machine in the field but on the road the nose had to stick out in the intersection so you could check for traffic. I ran one on the farm and loved it. Rear cab made hitching to equipment so easy. Best night lighting on any tractor I ever used. AL B.

That old orange Chevy dump truck is a 1960, I think that was the only year for torsion bar suspension on the front of a truck that big

Not to split hairs, but the cars you call a Polara look to me to be 1964 Dodge 330 or 440 sedans. These were lower trim versions of the 500 and 880 as well as the Polara; which of course you mention. All in all, good video.

It was sorta funny to see all of the folded squarebody hoods, I guess I never realized how universal that problem was.

Nice collection! That 1980 Blazer is an odd ball for parts. A lot of 1 year only parts. I had a 1980 Blazer years ago and it was a pain in the butt for getting parts. Just about everything is 73-79 and 81-87.

..7:42...that's definitely a Dodge bed on that chassis..but those scalloped valve covers look an awful lot like an International 266,304,345, or 292 V8??..maybe that's a 318 Poly engine?..if so, I didn't know the valve covers on those had that "International Scallop"...
