Faxon is a close talker.

There is a wonderful feeling of joy, like being a kid and having total confidence in what you are being told by your grandpa or elder, sort of aura about Brad Faxon. Every word makes perfect sense, and his beautiful interaction with you as a person cannot be stressed enough. This is what teachers are like, at their best. Its what the good ones were like when i was young. I wish each of us had a Brad Faxon for every subject in school, and every new skill in life. We would be better off, as humanity.

No other huge RU-vid golfer would allow an open window into their weaknesses in the game like you do. This is what separates you and what endears your audience. And it allows us to be a part of your golf journey ⛳. (which never ends!)

One of the keys for any teacher is to be able to communicate well to the student. A lot of instructors- of any subject- are more interested in trying to impress people with their knowledge than in actually teaching the student. Brad seems to be relatable and genuinely interested in having his pupil actually learn something and to improve. Awesome video!

I think the coolest part about this lesson, is none of it was really about the actual mechanics of the golf swing. Because Rick's a pro, he knows how to hit a putt. But the sort of mental component and spending so much time about how to get to the ball and feel comfortable. Can't wait to see how this plays out in Break 75!

That was the best half hour lesson Ive seen on putting. I help a 7-11 year old youth PGA junior team. This video will be lesson #1 when we get started in April. There are so many little things, I bet I rewatch it 5-6-7x How valuable of experience from 1 of the greatest PGA putters of all time, Brad Faxon. We're all pulling for you Rick. One of the best quotes for putting ive ever been told is this " you can make every putt you take BUT you wont hole every putt you take " it was very mind blowing to me and it freed me up with my approach and i stopped getting upset with myself with the outcome

That was an invaluable lesson from one of the best putters of all time. The amazing thing was how much we can all take from that even though we weren’t the ones receiving the lesson. I would also say that without even realising it I was amazed how much of that I am already doing exactly like what Brad says. Putting is the best part of my game by far and maybe this is why. So it was good to hear so much fantastic tips from Brad and that he was so willing to share this with everyone. I could also instantly see the improvement in Rick’s putting stroke once he relaxed and followed what Brad was telling him. He definitely thinks way too much while he putts and you can see it all going through his head and he talks himself out of the putt before he even hits it. I hope to see the improvement now if he can follow what Brad told him. Thanks for filming this for us all Rick, it was amazing.

Another great insight and as with Claude, everything Brad says makes sense and is in a way far less mechanical and more feel and fluidity. The importance of a pre shot routine for all shots that is consistent is another key thing that you see many people don’t have and loved the tips of making that fluid also through even small movements. Two powerful lessons that must have been great to have experienced but you’ve also done a fantastic job with the team to capture them so that we can all take something away from them. An outstanding lesson from one of the greatest putters ever. The one thing that bums me out right now is that I won't be on a practice putting green until April at the earliest. However, I have saved this video in my Golf Videos folder in the saved videos section of my RU-vid channel. I will be reviewing this over and over again every chance I get, and taking notes as well.

I had six three putts plus four putt in my recent medal and was seriously thinking about giving up golf as I near 70. Putting has always been my weakness and no lesson has ever made such an impact as this. As a 15 handicapper this video has inspired me. Absolutely brilliant - what a gent Brad is. This is one of the best "instructional" videos I have ever seen. I played this weekend and had one of the best putting rounds. I did not really hole any more puts but I felt MUCH more relaxed over my putts, hitting more of my lines, much more relaxed and my distance control was outstanding! Thanks Rick.

What a smart (simple) coach! Putting is my nemesis frequently; that whole segment with Brad was an absolute gift! Sounds goofy, but I've watched it twice today and have saved a copy for review when golf season reopens.

Brad's depth of knowledge is insane. I love that he is able to communicate both the technical and intuitive sides of putting so well. You can also tell he is a golf nerd and loves this game. His media training/expt as a golf analyst also shines through is his ability to communicate with both Rick and the audience.
