They are soo cheap too. Probably one of the cheapest body on frames with real 4x4 you can buy. Everyone rushes to Toyota but they are so expensive used. And honda is being a bitch and not making a real truck.
Kevin has some KING KONG COJONES! Love both trucks, but you can't beat that PRO4X. I have a Lava Red PRO4X myself and will NEVER get rid of it! I've gone all Off Road Kevin on mine too and ALWAYS gets me out! Thank for the videos!
You guys have balls. I would never risk my Frontier, especially if I pay too much. Lol. But, it's good to know the limitations. Good presentation, gentlemen.
Wow, I think this is my favorite video yet! Y’all both did some pretty ruff stuff and had fun doing it. Please keep up the awesome videos! Can’t wait to see you channel grow to 100k! I believe it’s coming!
That last shot was epic bro! Lol. Glad I can see how my S trim can do when pushed a little and it did pretty damn good. Kevin’s pro 4x did amazing! Can’t get much better than that. These are the videos that make me wish I had a locker lol
great video guys i have to say Kevin is a bad ass but at the end of the day its not the truck its the driver and you made some smart chooses about what to do and not to do again great videos guys
Great videos. Shows the true difference a locker makes. I have a 2023 Pro4x and so far it's been great. The only gripe is I wish the locker could be engaged in 2wd
@@andypacmanperez Most people that are experienced off-roaders prefer to use as little of the options as possible to make the obstacle with the least amount of help as possible to make it more fun/challenging. I always try everything in 2wd until I need additional help like locker or 4wd. So it would be nice to try in 2wd, then 2wd w/ locker, then 4wd no locker, then 4wd low, then 4wd low with rear locker, then 4wd low with both lockers. Hope this makes sense.
@@andypacmanperez Not everything requires low range. Some things require speed, some things require juuuuust a bit more traction... Snowy roads for example. Sometimes you've got 1 tire just spiiiining away and the ability to lock up for just a little bit helps enormously. Can be the difference between just a little throttle (locked) versus foot to the floor (which is how you break stuff)
When u start spinning on those flexy spots and start 2 wheelin. Don’t let out. Keep a constant rpm around 2k or maybe a tad bit more and Nissans ABLS system will kick in and mimick a locker. Works great!
@@4wdAdventurzfor sure man! The Nissan ABLS system works awesome. Sometimes takes a second to kick in. Definitely do some research on forums to understand it more. My T swapped X has a locker but if I’m lazy and don’t wanna turn it on the ABLS almost does just as good.
The title of this video is misleading. You didn't lose you refused to participate AKA you are a coward. Maybe you should stick with being the other guy's camera man. At he isn't a 🐔. 🤷♂️
Hahahahaha. This video hurt your feelings, didn’t it? The other guy has also been doing it a lot longer. I was fairly new to off-roading at the time this video was recorded. But thanks for watching the video and making me some money 👍🏻
The lifted truck might actually hit more tilt... If the spring rate on the lifted truck is The same spring rate or more as the other truck... Then it is definitely going to tilt more.... That's the math of it all... And the reason for that is the jacking forces are greater if you have a lift on Independent suspension. You would have to widen the track or reduce the spring rate or both for that not to be the case.
I had a rear wheel drive 2018 v6 frontier and got it stuck in a ditch lol, it got right back out with no problem, I hit almost 120 in it too, it hit a limiter but 5th gear was extremely long it went down to 4k rpm
Good wheeling. Just go to junk yard and drop in an M205 e locker for the rear and you’ll be spot on. I dropped mine in couple months ago and sold my old C200k axle with mechanical locker.
Nice video. Thanks. Glad to see people enjoying their frontiers. Lockers make all of the difference off-road. Can you do a video break down on your truck? Parts, etc...
Here's one I did a little while ago. 90% of it is still the same. Tha ks for watching buddy! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-4Qo6KU0gcbU.htmlsi=oqE-TyyfU9OsryJ-
I have a 3rd gen i love it and im makeing sure she is getting mud on her. I also owned a 2nd gen. Though both are very reliable and capable something about the 2nd gen feels like it was just made to be a off road vehicle.
Sweet! I have this truck. I’d recommend Starting with a 2.5 inch leveling kit and 285/75/r16 or 285/70r17 depending on your wheel size. Both 33 inch tires. This is a low cost and highly effective place to start. It will allow you to do most trails.
Just finished watching your review of the 6 inch RC lift. Quick question: would it be possible to add those spacers you had on before + a body lift to get a similar look to the 6 inch lift? Id rather NOT cut the frame of my truck but I DO want the visual look (I do not plan on going off roading). Do you think this would be possible or maybe even a similar look? I love how your frontier looks lifted but if I can achieve the same look with spacers + body lift I'd rather go that route.
A great video! Frontiers are GREAT trucks! When people told me to get a higher lift and bigger tires on my jeep - I bought a locker which is stock on my PRO4X!
I like your hoodie you had on, do you have a loyal subscriber and Christmas discount? You have been doing great on this RU-vidr stuff. Flying drones, setting up cameras, and doing stuff that seems sketchy has made this video great. Please keep you friend on the channel, his truck is awesome too. BTW I really like this new video series, it keeps me entertained.
Awesome video to show some capability. It let me know I will only be lifting enough to get aggressive 33s without rub lol. Feel like the 35s and left made some stuff harder for you or atleast scarier 😅
The extra money that people pay for things like the Pro4X or the TRD off road or even the other stuff manufactures are saying it’s off road means you can drive in a hayfield and you will be ok so go ahead and pay $10,000 or more. I think people are idiots.
Of course the Pro 4 x would win. I have a 2022 SV and im amazed at this. I would never put my truck through this as I don't off road. Gives a lot confidence knowing if I go camping I will not have any problems.
Well you really didn’t go head to head with Kevin!! Hang with kevien he’s a good driver - title should have read - I go out with kevien as he teaches me how to drive lol
Surprised your ABLS wasn't engaging at all. My 2014 Frontier ABLS is "almost" like having a locker. (ABLS is nissan speak for offroad traction control)
I think I might have been letting off the throttle too soon for it to kick in. I’m going back out tomorrow for another try. Illl be more mindful of it this time. We’ll see…
Nice Rigs probably safe all the way to 40*. I got over confidant in my yota and put it on ots side. Know your limits and trusting physics. I still havent pushed my Xterra.
Cool. Check out The Adventure Crusader channel. He's my buddy. We do a bunch of trails. We have Monteros. We have a few buddies with the Xterras as well.
