Use to wear box braids a lot especially in high school... but now I avoid it because I like to deep clean shampoo and deep condition/moisturize my hair every week so basically it’s a waste of money and time to sit for all those hours and then remove them in a week🤦🏽♀️
I am Indian and even though my culture has good hair traditions, but SERIOUSLY, black woman with all that natural hair is just freaking GLORIOUS!!! These woman, despite being from a very foreign culture to mine, give me so much confidence!
I love highlighting talented women like Sabrina who normally don't get the spotlight. Well deserved! Also, Jamilah is an absolute beauty, inside and out!
She looks stunning both before and after. The artist truly did an amazing job. More than adding goddess braids to her hair. The best part is that she feels like a goddess.
I'm nit black *not trying to insult anyone* but i did try out box braids when i had extra short hair and i really loved it. It helped my hair alot and i didn't have any broken ends as I usually have. I really love braids and ever since i was a child i wanted my whole head braided. Box braids were really a life saver as wigs make more bad than good.
The best take away. The stylist reiterated how sweet Her client was. Kindness goes a long away. Ppl prefer to be around nicer and sweeter people. Take note yAll ❤️
as a nonblack person i’ve always loved curlier hair as i have absolutely no curl in my hair naturally. it’s so gorgeous and i’m so glad that you guys are showing some amazing styles and highlighting beautiful confident black women!!
That’s true, I’ve been doing mine and my friend’s braids for a while now but black hairstylists still deserve support 🤷🏽♀️ So I think for the people that don’t really care they should just go to a stylist, why not?
@@gabb5 - oh I get that we should support black hairstylists. At this time of Covid-19, I made it my business to learn how to braid my hair. Love those ladies but I don't want 2-3 of them on me at this time.
Shar Jones there's some great parting videos on RU-vid. The best tip I can give is to blowdry your hair before you part, makes the process wayyyy easier. Idk about you but my natural hair is beyond thick so parting takes literal hours. Blowdrying first cuts that time down to only 45 mins!
She's so gorgeous! I never knew how black women made these styles, it's so interesting and I have a lot of respect for all the patience that must take!
They’re not usually heavy if done right but I personally don’t like the rubber band method, the one used in this video because it pulls on my roots way too much
In my experience, twists are fairly lightweight no matter how thick they are, and also depending on how you style them - well at least compared to box braids. There's the usual tenderness on the first day but otherwise, there's minimal to absolutely no strain on your scalp Hope that helps 🙃
I’m glad I wasn’t the only one that thought that. Not a hater for saying that either when someone names off a long list of celebrity clients you expect a masterpiece 🤷🏽♀️ nothing wrong with having that thought when she gave that impression. I did my jumbo passion twists better than this and I think I might just upload my very first video to shut up the hater🤣😘
Shane Candle girl shut up if the hair style ain’t it then the hairstyle just ain’t it now how about you go make a video explaining how tf politely giving a opinion is being a hater with your uneducated ass💀
As a white girl who knows nothing about this hairstyle and how it “should look” I’m looking at this like damn she’s cute af and so is this hairstyle. I love it
LITERALLY stunning. Yoooo crazy! I don’t know about anyone else but the inconsistency makes look a lot more artistic while at the same time honoring that it’s not that they need to be perfect, they just have to be twisted correctly.
definetly don't try it if you have fine, fragile or very straight hair bc you could fuck up your scalp ad cause a lotbof breakage ans fall out. black women have coarser stronger hair that can withstand this for long periods of time, for people like my with fine or straight hair even something as seemingly innocuous as Bantu knots can cause oir hair to straight up break and fall out due to the pressure and tightness
Soo cute and the color is perfect. I had this style a few years back and loved it. But it was heavy and it was summer so I was always hot. But this video makes me want to rock it again 😍
they look so good on her!! These kinds of hair videos are so much more dramatic and fun versus the many other videos where the girls go like one shade lighter or just get boring highlights. also diversity is awesome 😎
I have like really soft, fine hair and it took me some time to realize I can’t do every style😭 I remember once someone pulled my twist out and I literally cried🤣
@i love you say it back it depends on what you mean. I think thick hair makes a style look very full and me personally i have medium lengthed hair so it looks very big and it looks like i have a lot of hair. However, some people say its easier to style thin hair because it is tough to comb through and part, stuff like that. All hair is beautiful 💜
the client is happy and that is what is key idk why your all so judgy and pressed, it’s not even on your head, watch the video leave your positivity or don’t comment
