Maria Alonso just make sure the piercer actually knows what they’re doing. Some people say it hurts because the piercer got them through their cartilage instead of the soft skin part!

A tip for anyone who’s scared of getting a piercing, BE SCARED! Nothing bad is gonna happen but you must be scared so it hurts less I know it sounds weird but trust me it works if you’re relaxed and chilling it’ll hurt more

Oh girl my septum piercing went BAD. dude didn’t even mark it out, or count down or use a clamp. He said he didn’t have the right sized needle he was usually gonna use but just did it anyways. Was a giant needle and the other side of the needle came out the front of my nostril.. strictly traumatized forever🥲🥲

I finally did it! I got it pierced about a week ago and I'm obsessed with it. My piercer was amazing and my pain rating is a solid 3/10 and I'm a wimp. If you're afraid of needles, just close your eyes as soon as you get into the chair. You'll barely feel it.

Punch a hole out of the skin and slide a bar in that has a flat base. Base sits in the pocket you punched and jewellery sits on the base. Simple.

Hey 👋🏾 I just got my septum pierced two days ago and I had it done by a very experienced and skillful piercer. What I prepared myself for was way more than what actually happened lol, it was quick and painless and in the right spot. I had minimal bleeding and when this heals I’m considering a couple more piercings! BTW, I’m 55 years old 😊 and the last time I was pierced (before this) was in the mid 90s (nostril piercing). I’m excited 😆

I got mine done a month ago and I’m in love with it, honestly the clamps and the healing process hurt worse than the actual piercing did. The tip of my nose was so sore for a week after I got it and then it went away. It doesn’t hurt after a week unless you bump it or get a crusty on it. 10/10 recommend a septum.

I'm hoping to get this done tomorrow and I will have to flip it immediately for work. I am so glad to hear you say that it's okay to do so bc you clearly know what you're doing. brooklyn I got mine a few weeks ago now and I’m a huge baby when it comes to pain but it’s not that bad tbh. Mine was sore for two weeks but I did keep messing with mine, of course you’re not supposed to. It’s best not to mess and you should clean it and you should be fine. It’s quite easy to forget it’s there but it shouldn’t hurt too much if you touch it

@@k.i.aparadox1451 just be really gentle with it. Your piercer should tell you how to clean it but when you’re in the shower and cleaning your face just be gentle around your nose. The tip of my nose was what hurt the most but it’s different for everyone. If it does hurt a lot to begin with it would probably be best to avoid it when showering but it shouldn’t hurt that much. Good luck!

Just finished getting my septum done!!! Honestly, It’s all depending on YOUR pain tolerance! The needle going through felt like a tight pressure pinch. And afterwards hurt since it pulsed a little bit but then soon went away! It didn’t hurt too bad though and I have a high pain tolerance. It was worth it for me!!!

I’m getting mine done on my birthday on Monday. Just wanted to watch this so I can see exactly how it’ll work as well as watch how the customer reacts to the pain. Edit (12 August 2021): for anyone who might see this and is contemplating getting theirs done, it’s almost been 2 months and I love it so much. It’s already practically fully healed; I accidentally pulled it out this morning and it was absolutely no trouble putting back in, not even the slightest bit of pain associated. I couldn’t be happier with getting it, and I hope this helps you if you aren’t too sure whether you want it or not.

my septum piercing didnt hurt at all. wouldn’t call it pain. its more like uncomfortable, like taking a bloodtest. cleaning it afterwards hurts WAY more than the needle itself.

Idk. Sometimes after you pierce your septum, it swells and looks crooked. But im sure after a couple of weeks it looks fine now. I know this cause mine was the same way a couple weeks after my septum was pierced.

I just got my septum yesterday and it went terrifically. If anyone is interested in getting a septum, please do! They're awesome piercings and suit just about anyone. Just make sure you find a good trusted piercing studio (not a tattoo & piercing shop or a mall based shop) and you learn how to treat it properly :)

I got a septum piercing a few months ago and 10/10 would recommended. It was less painful than getting a simple cartilage piercing, and healed in about a month to 6 weeks. Go for it, you can always take it out if you don’t like it

I was high asf when I went to get my piercings and ended up doing 11 in one session and when he was done with all of them I said “okay I’m ready for the next one” and he looked at me and said “another one?? My septum was honestly the least painful piercing I’ve ever gotten. There’s a really thin little triangle of skin called a “sweet spot”, and if pierced right it’s pretty much as painful as a lobe piercing. As a professional piercer, it’s super weird piercing them because it’s literally like cutting butter.

I love my septum, it was literally the easiest piercing out of the 13 I have to heal and it didn't really hurt when I got it pierced, more like a "I gotta sneeze so bad" feeling. And it healed super quickly too, definitely worth it!

I got this done a few days ago and honestly I think the same as he does. Don't focus on the pain. Don't ask if it will hurt because it is a NEEDLE going through your body so yes but just remember it's only a few SECONDS for the actual piercing. The challenge is whether you can make it heal properly or not cause you don't want to waste your money or have to do it over
