That's great. I wish more younger people would take advantage of all the great opportunities out there today. I'm a 60 year old trucker and have never seen opportunities like this in my life time. Let an old timer like myself give you some advice. Save, save, save, for retirement. It comes faster than you might think.
I want to do trucking so bad but I asked this program so they can pay for my schooling and they told me I have to be 21years old to get into trucking. I’m 20 btw. She said I can do trucking but I need a letter from an employer saying they would hire me at 20. Once I turn 21 then I won’t need the letter, I could just get in. Btw there’s a waiting list to get into the trucking school so it might be awhile.
The issue why many are seizing opportunities is because there is an oversaturated job market at the moment. Many people are persuaded off trade jobs & trucking & towards jobs that are more 'favorable' such as a desk or at-home jobs with similar or greater salaries.
I be thinking the same thing. I’m ok if you disagree with me but. I look at the jobs young foreigners work compared to the jobs young americans work. They come to our country not looking to work in fast food restaurants and warehouse. They really take advantage of the many opportunities in our country.
Congrats man, I can't wait to start my trucking experience in 2024. I'm currently working on a cruise ship do save some money, but I can't wait to become a truck driver!.
Once you get that 1 year experience you can do anything lil bruh. It’s gone be some rough days but it’s all worth it. I got hired on by a beer company for my first year. They put me threw hell but I had bigger plans I just needed that experience. Once I got that year , I took off 😂.
Yessir! It’s just with me being 18 it’s gone be hard to look other places. Even when I turn 19 and get that year experience, most places be wanting 21+
hey man congratulations on your CDL and getting hired ! I can’t wait to start CDL school this may 29th, I’ve got my class A permit and I’m 20 years old I just have to find the right trucking job😂😂I worked at Pepsi, and Budweiser. It’s was pretty alright but I lowkey want a job that’s just driving haha
Bro u can just do bulk for coke or ajax just docks unload check in the orders but the hours suck u start at 2am finish ur first trailer then get a 2nd one
I start my testing for my license on the 5th of June, and supposed to be done on the 22nd. you giving me hella confidence bruh 😂💯salute.. & I’m 21 as well trying to start this shit early like you
Good shit youngsta keep focused on your goals and you'll get there. Learn how money works and save your money. Next year you can be a home owner year after that 2 homes. If you find something with 3-4 apartment the rent you'll make counts towards your total income. Every 2 or 3 years you can do the first time home owners program. Look it all up. Facts.
I’m hired as a driver but there isn’t a route open right now. So I drive but not all day and everyday. I’m pretty much in the truck with the other drivers and they allow me to drive to some stops and when a route opens up I’ll be next up. I’m fine with it because even though I don’t drive everyday, it still counts as experience. Thanks 🤘🏾
@@KhariLoaded awesome! Keep on bugging to drive, the more you drive the more experience you will get. Pay attention to how they drive and never stop asking questions about driving! Next video we wanna see you drive!
Be careful of these the guys your run with they makeing money off your back getting paid to train ontop of doing less work and sometimes they will take advantage. Not all are like that way just want to give you some food for thought.
Coca Cola hire driver merchandise at 19??? And do you get a automatic truck?? And what was the hiring process like??? If you could make ah video that’ll be good too
What’s the hardest part of your job? Waking up early to pick up the ur loads, or merchandising them stores. I’ll assume some of the bigger store they send a merchandiser to work the loads.
None of the job is necessary hard but the most aggravating part would be the stocking or waiting to be checked in by the store managers. Some will literally look at you for a hour and not check you in
Hey man I’ve been looking to get my class a cdl as well this fall and I wanted to ask how were you able to get the job at Coca Cola (I’m from North Carolina )
Oh yeah we’re supposed to rotate everything…. More of the store workers job as well though. We don’t go in with the intent to rearrange the whole stores product
Sadly yes. Also the gas station people think we work for them💀even though that’s not the case. But our boss makes us stock our products. More like a touch up. Cant spend too much time in each store because we would be out all day
How long did you have your state drivers license before you got your cdl ? Im 22 but i only had my drivers license for 6 months would they make me wait until its a full year until they let me get my cdl drivers license?
I never smoked ever so I don’t really have the best advice with that but just remember the end goal and if you want it, do what you need to do to get there. (Or you could do what others do and get the automatic pass test from Walgreens or cvs) but you didn’t hear that from me😂
Let us know if coca cola keep ya they usually let mf go after 3mnths n shit .b talkin nighas stealing orders selling shit from tha trucks giving out wrong load orders n shit. But lmk fa shit sho
Hey man I’m thinking about applying for coke soon, I got a question for you. I got tooth pulled an took pain meds awhile back, does coke do urine or hair drug test?
I drive a 18 wheeler literally everyday… I have a class A cdl. Job description I was hired as is a “driver”… what does that make me? U think I’ll get a job and be in a truck by myself in the first month😂😂training brother🤘🏾I still drive a truck everyday… therefore I’m a… TRUCK… DRIVER… say it with me “truck driver”😁
The vids in cdl school was a mix of GoPro and my professional Sony camera but other than that, all of my vids are straight gopro except my day in the life videos. And I have a olllllllldddd Mac. Like 2014-15
@@KhariLoaded Aw damn faxxx. See I got a 2014 mac air and the clips play all choppy and eventually just freeze but the audio keeps playin. What are you filming in? 4k 60fps or 30fps?
100k a year working at coke is so cap don’t mislead I drive for them as a cdl delivery driver . Like let’s be fr we are the lowest paid company drivers ever. WITH A DAILY PAY NOT HOURLY
I’m looking to start cdl school but idk where man some where in Texas I’m only 18 but Im Lowkey starting to think it’s not worth it cause no one hired if you’re 18 bruh 👎🏾
Someone will hire you. May not be the job or money you want but it’s worth it. You’ll build experience for however long you need to then boom, you can go wherever you want at 21
Anywhere from 3-13. Really just depends but you’ll be made aware prior to that day. And driver are responsible for their own route but driver with heavy loads that day will get help. Even drivers with 3 stops could have someone helping.
What cdl school did you go too? I’ve never been behind a 18 wheeler or anything just regular trucks pick up trucks but I want to go to a school what exact school did you go too?
I would wait until the school give you your paper because all pre trips aren’t the same. So what you se won RU-vid or the internet might not be what you need to know for your city and state test. It’s all very similar but the wording could be different and that makes a big difference
@KhariLoaded depends it's like a pallet jack. You pull it. You can't run into someone, and if you go over a bump, it will tip. I. Talking from. Experience. I think they say in safety ergonomics, you can pull a muscle pushing.
@@winngriff CDL A isn’t an endorsement. It’s a whole different classification. If you take a CDL B driving course, you’ll still have to take a CDL A driving course later on if you want to drive class A vehicles. But if you get the CDL A from the start, you can drive all 3 classes. Also, bus drivers actually do need to get the passenger endorsement on their CDL.
@@winngriff There are plenty of good CDL B jobs out there tho. Some are arguably better than most CDL A jobs. And most will actually hire at entry level, unlike CDL A jobs.
@@KhariLoaded I used to drive tractor trailer but now I deliver gas to customers bra I help lot of young people get their cdls best move I could have made in my life facts
So, do you work in teams? Also quick question please...how long on average are you at one stop? I started 2 weeks ago, I love it. I am with someone right now my biggest struggle is getting the stacks off the handtruck🫣🤫😁 I'm just concerned for when I go solo!
