yup, I've been laid off. luckily I found out the day before my bachelorette so I was able to spend much needed time to disconnect and feel supported by my loved ones.
the truth is this layoff did not catch me by surprise, plus I'd long be re-shifting my savings to ensure that I had a hefty savings account. so in a way I was sort of prepared for this layoff and in a good financial position to accept this news and be okay.
so how can you be prepared too? well first you need to understand what signs to look for that might tell you a layoff is coming.
as for what comes next? taking the rest of the summer to relax, maybe focus on wedding planning and take my time finding my next thing. Plus more time for creating RU-vid videos :)
