here’s the thing: her cupid’s bow is PLENTY defined and pretty! like the doctor said, if she wanted fuller lips, she should do fillers. i think anyone is allowed to do whatever they want with their body-i fully support. however, some women truly don’t see their bodies as they are. this is a prime example of that. there’s a difference between truly wanting something changed and failing to realize you already have exactly what you want but simply don’t see it because of body dysmorphia and such. that change has to come from within.

So real. Body dysmorphia is a mental disorder that the user tends to underestimate. I fight it hard. A technique I use is to avoid mirrors for a certain amount of time and then when I happen to see myself I tend to think waaaaaay more positive than pinpointing triggering aspects of myself

That intro monologue threw me off. I was just like huh? There's a lot of convincing oneself that a procedure is just an addition to the love you already have for yourself instead of just admitting there's something you _don't_ particularly like about yourself, and that's okay to admit. It reminds me of all the nose job videos I used to watch where every single one said "I broke my nose when I was younger" to justify the nose job when most of them have probably never had a broken nose before but it sounds more socially acceptable to say that than to just admit "I don't like my nose and never have".

She's saying now the trend it to work with what you have. Like a glow up. Not that many people are trying to have a specific model's body or the face of a Barbie doll. Make your self look better but not exactly like someone else. A procedure is a procedure, even if it's popular it's not going to look the same on everybody. There are different lip shapes and thicknesses. A person might combine several procedures. To get a look that they desire that fits their face and their aesthetic.

I've seen Dr. Nazarian's work before on a Netflix show and I really liked it. She's the type of plastic surgeon who just enhances a woman's natural beauty and doesn't go overboard with procedures. That said this one didn't really have an impact. She could've also done some fillers to further enhance the job

Yeah, the cupid's bow and the sides of the bottom look more defined, though I don't know if it'd even be noticeable, if someone wore lip colours a lot. I thought this was just kinda sad.. you can't buy self love but so many cosmetic industries act like buying their product will make you more "beautiful" or "feel comfortable in your skin". Self love comes from within. Not from a procedure or a product.

So this isn't for fullness, for those saying she should've gotten fillers. This procedure is to change the shape of her mouth which will give the effect of a defined pout (from what I do notice). Fillers plump, threading defines. I imagine a literal thread pulling and manipulating your lips. I can actually see a difference in the shape and overall definition of the clients lips in be week after shots.

that looks like an incredibly painful and expensive gimmick. ughh and you can see the corkscrew needle snagging on the tissue inside of her lip. at least there’s no creepy sound effects like the other videos

ive noticed a lot of people are a bit mean in these videos: saying it looks the same or it doesn’t look good-here’s an idea! this isn’t your body. whilst surgery may empower some or might not, you have to respect it. you can love yourself-TRULY love yourself-and still have a few insecurities. it could be your eyebrows or your lashes or your lips-we should be grateful that we have the tools to make us feel MORE empowered and more confident! she was happy with the results, and she’s sharing her experience. your opinion isn’t gonna change her joy, but the rude comments are simply out of hand. it’s such a wholesome and harmful video but the comment section is flooded with disgust. i’m constantly disappointed by humanity these days...

We never use dental blocks, just a compounded numbing cream. Our pdo threads are thin enough to insert without much discomfort. Interesting video.
