This comment proves that there is no intention of bringing new fans into the world. You have to consume an entire game to understand one reference lol. Sure watch a YT video, and yet you still have to do more than any series expects.
If you skip that particular side mission you referenced then you’d be out of region fast travel. And how much source material did you play? The puppy reference is from CC. Angealllllll!!
Thank you for this video man. cuz I really wanted to get a better understanding of it. I'm super excited. I've been watching your channel for many years now. I'm a video game collector in a lover of video games.
Interms of his opinion wit graphics & performance mode. It just comes down to what tv you have. I got an LG old which gives me more options to tweak the visuals as I prefer. I have my settings on graphics mode & the frame rate is close to 60fps
I like the game but I did set the controller down a few times the first 2 days cause it just seem to drag on in the beginning, specially since I played the demo and it was familiar
Bummer , that's a reason I did a battle ran around for a couple min n didn't touch the demo again. (Junon). I completed nieb. One n just skipped it in release.
This is one of the few games iv gotten excited while playing it. Just amazing but I find quality mode a lot better. The earlier area had bad stuttering but it gets better
Got it on release, and already 17hrs in and loving it! Enjoying the exploration and the side stuff! Even the card game ( theres a certain tournament and had a lot of fun winning it ) Im just enjoying my time with the game, you can feel the love that they put in! And the combat is so satisfying once you start getting good!
@@jakz737It does suck. The poor writing and Story telling from the ReMake still persist. The whispers are back with all that alternate reality crap. Even the Graphical issues are back where the textures would not load. They didn't learn anything from ReMake... On the PS5 mind. Game is garbage. Don't waste your money. I suggest you just watch the let's plays on RU-vid and return it and save your money. 🤷
The only time forcing a character to move slower due to an injury helps is when you couple that with a sense of urgency to move fast, like resident evil when your being chased by the tyrant or something to increase suspense and anxiety during the moment
Which is what they do Well unless your forced into walking but that’s usually during important character conversations which you’d want to listen to anyway, its their way of making it so you don’t have to stand around before a quest marker to wait for them to stop talking
I was playing the game last night and I lost track of time and I ended up staying up until 6:30 in the morning because I ended up completing chapter 3 to start chapter 4. Although I do have a question I accidentally left Junon after fighting that notorious big fish guy and didn't realize I was going to leave the continent I believe. Am I able to return and if so when? I did not do any real side missions on Junon and I want to complete the continent
@@hazwan3582 So if I did not complete that task before I got on the ship and my stuck and if so until when? I could theoretically load by save file up that I have but that was like 6 hours ago and I don't feel like redoing everything. I'm sure as soon as I dock from the ship and I open a fast-forward I'm assuming I'm able to then go back and forth but at this moment I am unsure
@@hazwan3582 I got the chocobo in the region of Junon, however I did not complete the side quest that the rancher gave me. So are you saying the only way I'm able to return back there is to get the next chocobo in the next region and finish their side quest? I mean I am just continually playing the game and I probably will eventually figure it out but since you are responding I thought perhaps you know
@@shanked1734 all I know is that when u finish the side quest of Gabe the chocobo ranch at junon region. I mean his 2nd quest that is looking for parts. he will let you use his chocobo carriage service that lets you go back to back region.
I love the “padding” parts so far. It’s make the original game makes more sense in some cases. Example in remake Barrett and Aries were escaping in an elevator with a tank in another elevator fighting. Makes no sense, but Remake caused the elevator to stop on a floor to fight the tank in a big room. Or, the party locked up near Hojo’s lab in the original. Like why didn’t they kill the Avalanche group in the original game? Why didn’t Hojo report them to President Shinra? But, Remake made it a hideout and expand on Aries’ backstory. Kalm makes sense in terms of the calamity at Midgar. In the original we didn’t feel like we committed any crimes until we met the Turks in the swamps area inside the mountain. Just head to the chocobo’s ranch. Rebirth made it seem like we are fugitive this time around from the start. SquareEnix has done a great job of making me feel the relationship and interaction of each members with the padding. That means if the script is the same, it’s going to be tough for real. The plot twist of the original hurt back then. This one could be depressing.😅 That’s what’s so special about the original and the current version. It reminds me when I was younger playing the ps1, while playing on the ps5. Great memories. Masterpieces takes its time and very detailed. Put you on rollercoaster of ups and downs. Then, it stick a prefect landing.
Yeah, the slower parts don’t bother me as much. They didn’t bother me in remake either, because it was part of their journey. Each battle and each step felt impactful, cloud and the gang were growing closer and getting stronger, and, though it has faults, remake was a great first part that led to the amazing rebirth
@@Beadiman did make the perfect landing and so did rebirth, maybe play the game before just opening your mouth talking about multiverse of madness when it was nothing like it.
character can hop over most objects no issue. Why do you need jump for? If you need to get to higher place there is always ladder or rock formation you can climb. This isn't Mario. Can you jump in GTA4/5? Can you jump in Red Dead? Can you jump in Ghost of Tsushima? Can you jump in Witcher 3? Can you jump in Assassin's Creed?
@@gameskyjumper1721because this game is full of tiny ledges cloud won't jump off and random ones he will. I'd rather take the risk of damage or death and be able to jump.
As someone who bought the digital version of FF7 Rebirth I'm planning to play it after Remake and Intermission just so I can fully enjoy it with the fall understanding of the context (don't worry I've played the Crisis Core remake to completion so I know who Zack is etc). But to me I like to know the little details when it comes to games I like alot and glad to hear the game is getting a good reception especially from RGT didn't know he liked FF7R I've only been subscribed to him for 2months now.
@ThepurposeofTime I haven't played the original but I know alot about it by looking it up on RU-vid and stuff but I'll play it before the third part comes out on the Ps6.
@_Paul_N Isn't there a cutscene with Zack at the end of Intermission which is important? Tbh it's a excuse just to 100% both Remake and Intermission before I start Rebirth I'm in a FF7R mode atm.
Just like those new Star Trek movies with Chris Pine, those are technically sequel movies as well because the original series and next generations still happen, but history has gotten changed, but old Spock still remembers the original history. Just like Sephiroth knows the original history along with a few others.
Can I play rebirth with out playing the original or the remake I wanna understand the story but now if I should play remake first I’ve never played a FF game
you can play rebirth without playing the og from 1997 however after you win it i would recommend playing the og from 1997.the story will still make sense as they made the game so you don't have to play the og.
Guys, play the side quests and do all of cherdly map activities and quests. I’m 100 hours in and still haven’t beat it and I’m absolutely in love with it
Modern games just haven't been doing it for me. Im not saying the games are bad... Maybe im just not the target audience anymore? This game looks amazing but I haven't seen anything else so far that i NEED to play at launch. Spiderman 2 looks good but it just kind of looks like a newer version of the ps4 game ive played over and over, so im not in a rush. Starfield i played on a tablet with gamepass... Newer games look amazing graphically, but they are so boring to me for some reason. Theres just too much fluff, with updates, long cutscenes, and hand holding. Id rather just pop into an action game from the 360/ps3 era. Gameplay is king.
If modern games aren’t doing it, Spider-Man 2 is the prime example of crappy modern games, not worth playing from someone who bought the game day one and beat it.
how can you expect better optimization with a game this big and the hardware it's on, solid 60fps and over 1080p is completely expected and appreciated
@@mr.b1613 Well the reason many people expect that is the ps5 was/is advertised as a 4k/60-120fps console so when a game like this comes out running at 1080p/60fps or 4k/30fps that feels last gen to them. I honestly don't know that they could have made this game run at 4k/60fps on the ps5 though
Been playing since Friday. Got about over 10 hours in and just got to Chapter 3. Rebirth is so amazing! Definitely going to get my money’s worth on this game. Been a while since I put over 100 hours into a game. Can’t wait to do it with Rebirth. Everything will get done. With how much fun I’m having with Rebirth this very well could be my fav FF game of all time. I thought RE4 remake was the best remake I’ve ever played and then here comes Rebirth. Instant masterpiece!
Tbh - I was practically bored out of my mind until the game starts to pick up a bit in Chapter 11. Sure things happen before then (some substantial) but it was so far and few in between I had to force myself to keep going. (I have also skipped 90% of anything outside of story missions as towers / shrines / excavations (etc etc) are utterly boring and incredibly dense padding to extend playtime. I am a HUGE FF fan (so I am not ragging on the game as a hater) but this is exactly what I was afraid of with the playtime predictions. In all fairness, they didn’t have a lot of source material to work with considering the window they are working with but there is absolutely no reason why this had to be 3 games. Take away all the fluff from remake / rebirth and you would have a solid game in itself. Rebirth isn’t bad by any means but it will be the first FF that I don’t go back to platinum / finish outstanding quests. (Except maybe the proto-relics)
@@InfiniteEdge006 I’ve played the OG and watched a couple trailers for Rebirth.. how is that spoiling myself? For reference, I did not like my own post but now I did so you can see two lol.. Who does that? lol
I was so stoked for this game as I am a huge FF fan. Tho I will say the traversal and combat of 16 way less confusing and clunky. I will try switching to performance mode cuz I have been on graphics so far. It is a mostly great experience so far. But I am leaning more toward 16’s play style currently
The literal most triggering thing about this video is at 4:30 when you end the song with two Good's. Love the vids as always, keep em coming and this game has been an absolute blast
@@kennard3106I like QB and Gwent but don't really think it's cool both games have main story quests that require you to play the games. I like them myself but still.
I have 150 hours at completion. All side quests completed; including that last one where you have to get high scores on EVERYTHING at The Gold Saucer , all world intel etc. I still wish the game was longer 😂. I was sad to be finished . It just has such a magical feel. Love the world and the main cast and how you can see their bonds grow throughout your play. It was a grand journey I wished would never end . Now time to wait another 3-5 years for part 3 😢
1. Switch 2 isn’t real 2. Cartridge cannot store the game. You’ll need high speed internet to download the full game. 3. Nintendo will never see this game.
@@ViviorkogamingI thought the cartridge was just a micro sd card. I have a few 256gb cartridges. The reason why publishers use them because they are cutting cost. So I think you’re wrong.
@@Viviorkogamingall of that is incorrect. In tendo would be morons to not do the switch 2 it’s all been confirmed even Pattinson have been released. Also the cartridges are basically a microSD card unit they have micro SD card. They go up to a terabyte now. I don’t even think it will be 10 years I think the more modern Final Fantasy games will go to the switch 2 pretty close after release, probably starting with 14.
for real. They literally force you to walk slow for no real reason but to make the game seem longer. Then they force you to fight battles to the the Key of the Ancients just to get it stolen RIGHT AFTER. As a fan of FF7 since the beginning, it's one of the most frustrating games i've played in a long time.
The padding insane. Dragging around the big vacuum thing in the mako reactor was painful and clearly just drawing the story out because they went the hobbit route. I’m enjoying it but I’m worried how the story is going to go with the whispers and that crap.
@@mortaldragon2nitpicking a 5 minute vacuuming mako energy is not brave it's cringe. It wasn't super long to be super annoying, even if it could've been cut. The fact they let you play as Sepharoth was a nice touch. How bout you make a game we can all criticize. The game is a 92 on meta from both users & critics. How bout we play the whole game without worrying, & rate it ourselves when we're done. Most games aren't this good, that's why it's not getting criticism.
@@Alien_isolationist by writing this paragraph, you only indirectly prove my point. You said nothing to convince me otherwise. No one said the game was terrible or not worth playing. They criticize one thing and you jump on it as if it was nominated worst of the game of the year.
@@mortaldragon2 90% of the games that come out are trash, but when a good game comes out, you bash it. Take Silent Hill 2 for example. It's made by an indie developer who is clearly AA now, & not only do the cutscenes look amazing, the in game atmosphere was nailed. The environments look great, even the combat looks fun, not much different then RE2, yet because the enemies need a polish, it gets trashed left & right. Go play Call of Duty & Madden while you wait for NBA & GTA if Non casual games aren't your thing. It's one thing to have a complaint, but you give no praise or credit where it's due, which just looks like nitpicking. Intergrade, I could have done without playing the sewer level twice, or dancing with a dude in erotic ways, but overall the game was a Masterpiece. So is The Last of Us, despite the black guy sh00ting himself over his brother not being realistic. One or two gripes doesn't warrant tearing apart the game like it's garbage.
i wish more video games would come out like this and be more of a finished product. This is the standard of what all games should be at before release if they are going to be a AAA release.
The card game QUEENs BLOOD is entertaining, fun, and challenging. Plus, you get cool items if you beat people. Don't you love Gil and power ups RGT85?😂
I'm playing this on PS5 obviously and on my Sony OLED TV and I honestly don't feel like the graphics are that good. They're not bad but they seem like PS4 visuals. Hair textures seem very stiff and there's a bit of blur around the hair and bodies while moving. I am also playing on performance mode because graphics mode is basically unplayable with how choppy it is and the graphics didn't really seem any better in graphics mode anyways.
Oh plus I haven't touched more then 5% of the side missions yes it makes some of the boss fights slightly harder but it's beatable. I'm only like level 30 and at chapter 10 and the card game is actually fun.
It's a great game but the side quest and mini games are sometimes just a bit too much. Plus the story gets skewed a lot. The highs outweigh the lows but it's definitely not perfect.
@@SnuSnu91 objectively nothing is perfect. That aside I would love to see a FF6 remake. My personal favorite. Also I really don't like that they split it into 3 games. I wish they would've kept the same story, and updated the battle system and traversal. I think it's crappy making the consumer pay 3x the amount to get the whole story you could just get in the original. Be honest with yourselves, once you found out the remake was just the midgar section and they bloated it to 40 hours, with changes that were pretty questionable. You knew we were in trouble. I'm on the fence cause I really enjoy what they've done but know if they cut a ton of the mini games, extra storylines, etc that we could have got the whole game for the same price.
I'm waiting for the full game to be released as a trilogy (It better only be 3 games geez) in many years where I can run it on PC at maximum graphics, 4k120 and just enjoy it, it's like a series, I'll binge it I'm not going to start it now.
Ahahah, love your videos man. Playing it right now. Yeah it has A LOT of side content and it's tiring. But i love the card game, you should give it a try.
Hey guys, I'm curently on the verge of buying FF7 Rebirth but I've one question ... I played FF 7 Remake but haven't finished it yet, tho I know the story VERY WELL I don't know if there's any connection between the games. I mean is there anything that would carry over from Remake to Rebirth if you finished remake??? Is it worth finishing remake first? Honestly I didn't like remake all that much because they added (and padded) so much that I simply lost track of all the stuff and so I lost interest in playing after a while.
Honestly you can just start with Rebirth if you want. There’s a recap in the game to get you up to speed, but it picks up right after Remake. As far as stuff carrying over, you get some bonuses, but stats or materia don’t carry over. They are build as separate games after all. It wouldn’t make sense to have new players start at level 1 while people who played Remake start at level 50.
Forced walking is so fucking frustrating. Just get rid of it please AAA. i don't care if the game is a few hours shorter. Dont remove control from the player.
I wholeheartedly agree with you…. The problem is a lot of people, not you clearly, always bring up “hours”. They equate this to value. Developers in turn fluff them up, which really takes me out of the whole experience
@@Reefer-Rampage69 normal i have a hard time playing games for hours as well but remake and rebirth are exceptions. i loved the battle system in remake and i liked the story. i am thinking i will probably like rebirth just as much if not more.
This absolutely killed 7 Remake for me. I played the demo for Rebirth and even though it’s early game, the second I was forced walking and still having to squeeze through crevices I said nope and dropped it. I’ll get it on sale. Looks amazing but I’m still not it lol
Forced walking? How would you like to get around? Drive in a car? If we just let you Drive everywhere then you'll turn it around and say you hate the "forced driving" ... There is absolutely no pleasing people like you
You can have action base attacks in the game. But when a rat takes like 10 hits sometimes it's over kill. Allow some creatures to be a hit or two. Because how long it takes I could easily ove already beat two turn base battles.
Queens blood is amazing. There are plenty of games I skip mini games like that for the most part but I've really liked building my deck for QB. Also interested in seeing whatever story stuff it started to tease in chapter 4. I've fully enjoyed all the "padding" in this game and have been doing everything so far and haven't hit a wall with it. Rebirth feels way better than Remake did, I went back and finished Remake and Yuffies dlc because so much of remake felt like padding and filler to make it expanded out to be a full game on its own and I don't get that feeling with Rebirth at all so far.
Everybody else: performance mode graphic very blurry RGT: best ive ever seen Everybody else: side quests in this game is excellent RGT: its very padding
I dont understand how someone who realy likes FF7 can find anything good in the Remake. So many bad changes, complete different combat, Character and Story changes. I will never touch this Remake but still play FF7.
Getting my copy when they have another shoppers drug mart sale up here. Already ordered and arriving like next week but the next sale is in like 1 month. At least I'm playing FF7 crisis core reunion beforehand. Missisons in that title are a challenge 10 star but I'm only at level 65 and on hard mode.
I was talking to someone about how beautiful and realistic game are today compared to 20-30 years ago and I said if they do make a PlayStation 5 Pro they should work on a way to have it where you can get 60 fps on graphics mode I have a 65 inch LG Oled 4k and on performance Mode the game looks amazing but I see a little different in graphics mode but the frame rates drop a lot so hopefully is there is going to be a ps5 pro hope it can make graphics mode solid 60 fps
Best open world since the Witcher 3 (including BOTW and ER). I played it for 5 hrs straight and had a blast with it, which is something that Iheve only done while playing ER and W3.
This game is probably going to be a GOTY Contender, but I don’t think I’ll buy a PS5 just for the experience. The games today are more about graphics and how cinematic they are and I’m not really interested by that ngl.
Square will be making final fantasy 7 games til we die. Ff7 remake, ff7 rebirth, ff7 after birth, ff7 redone, ff7 reredone, ff7 redoneagain, ff7 oops we did it again, ff7 weve run out of ideas, ff7 bankruptcy.
I'm fixing to sell my XBSX to get an emulation mini pc setup. The backwards compatibility is disappointing when there are games, like Scott Pilgrim, X Men Arcade, my entire Wii store library and NBA Street, that I cannot play anymore, after I've BOUGHT the games.
