Happy 10 yrs. I thought bladder infection or kidney stones. Drink cranberry juice & you can take the pills too. Meds will work fast. Hope all is well. Happy Birthday to your wife & you only get two if she gets two.

Sounds like stones 😮! Drink more !! Liquid IV all day long !! Carry more water, You have lots of hot days ahead and the trail is going to get really tough and rough and muddy ahead ! Slow down those miles ! Rest more ! And drink more water !! Vermud has tons of good H20 , But hopefully you dont have stones !! Best of luck ❤

I’m sure you’ve already been to the doctor but I get kidney stones a lot. When one passes I get that feeling like I have to go then nothing comes out. Also the blood in the urine. I don’t always notice the little bastard passing out, just the after effects. Good luck, hike on, and pee on!

Im a few days late watching this, but I hope your meds kicked in by now and everything is all good now. I know firsthand what kinds of things are going through your thoughts when you see blood in urine. It happened to me during the pandemic, and I had to have a vitural Dr appt. Between the 2 of us, we both thought it was a good chance it was an infection. But I didn't have the same symptoms as I had in the past, having an Uti. But I got a prescription, and it seemed like I wasn't having issues after taking the meds. A few days later, the same thing, only more blood than before and weird color. I dont want to get to graphic. Long story short, I had a kidney stone too large to pass through, but it was trying. I didn't have much pain at all at that stage. It was a year later when it got stuck and blocked off everything that I was in more pain than having any of my 4 big kids naturally did, and I was also puking all night. I finally went to the emergency room in the morning. It still hurt some even after some really good Iv pain meds. I had to have a stent first for a few days and then shockwave Lithotripsy procedure. Genetics can play a part in stones but can also happen from foods or drinks or lack of water, which I didn't drink a lot of water but drank tea, pepsi, coffee to many things with tannins will do it. So just a little story for anyone that may get scared seeing blood and know that there can be many things going on that isnt as bad as what's going through your head. Just make sure not to ignore it.

Congratulations on 10th anniversary. Your wife is a keeper. My husband and I celebrated 48 in March. I’m happy your health seems to have been taken care of. This was a good topic to cover. All sorts of health issues can pop up on trail. It’s good to see that not all of them will take you off.

I was actually concerned about your health the other day when you were having such a miserable day, and you were looking a little worn out. Take care of you. Happy anniversary! I remember experiencing something similar about 10 years ago during a 100-mile mountain bike race. It was over 85 degrees, and I was about 30 miles in when it happened. It scared the life out of me. I ended up not finishing the race; the sweepers had to pull me off the course. I managed to recover by drinking a lot of water, and it cleared up the next day. It's happened a few other times during races, but only on very hot days, and it hasn't occurred in many years. I believe it was due to severe dehydration, which can come on quickly, especially with the constant jostling on a bike seat. Good luck, and keep hiking!

I'm glad your doctor was able to diagnose and prescribe you some medicine. As for the ticks, I hope it isn't Lyme. Fortune of Fortune Adventures is in the same area as you and got Lyme and had to get off trail for awhile. I'll send prayers that it isn't that, but if it is, at least you have some antibiotics. What a nice b&b! I know you and your wife will have a great time there. Feel better soon!

I think a few weeks back you mentioned brownish urine and was concerned about rhabdomyolysis. Since you seemed ok the next couple of days I forgot about it, but maybe you have something lingering. Hope the meds knock it out. Whatever it is.

Congratulations! Happy 10th Anniversary to you both! Happy birthday to your wife. I had chronic bladder and kidney infections for years. Once I started taking 1000mg of vitamin C at night and morning, the infections stopped. I pray you will heal quickly. So glad your doctor is treating for possible Lyme also. Smart doctor. Blessings for your health and journey.

Since you were headed offtrail for a few days anyway, trip to urgent care vs over the phone diagnosis seems like the safer choice though I realize it's your body, your decision. Hope Leo makes it into a tub somewhere too. Best wishes on your trifecta - 2 birthdays & an anniversary to celebrate!

Poor Michael! All of us on the delayed viewing still really want to express sympathy and give advice when things don't go as well as we want things to go. I mean, I want him and Leo to skip blithely and bug-free, with a few safe bear sightings thrown in, to the finish line. And I get upset on his behalf when gnats or other nasties appear. I just keep picturing him saying, "This was so five days ago, Bruh! Problem solved, man, problem solved!" Of course, I don't think of it enough to stop me from offering my advice anyway 😂 5 days down the path, Michael, with new issues today, we will "solve" those too, when we get there (lol) or at least offer virtual hugs.
