My grandpa when he was still alive used to fish a lot and a great blue Heron would sit with him and watch him fish and my grandpa would feed him what he caught
There human go spoiling nature again! Lol. I am a truck driver and have notice some birds move to truck stops to eat the bugs off of the truck grills. When they are done with one truck, they fly over to another.
Casting a net like that for food for your "pond zoo" is SO efficient and COST EFFECTIVE! AND healthy for the ones you feed it too! ... what a great idea!!!

I can't believe we're almost at 1 Million subscribers! It's amazing how this channel grows and grows. And your 3 minute - 8 minute videos are really fun to watch, I watch one about every three days. It really helps with my day to see that someone actually takes care of turtles and fish. And an addition to the family is great! I hope the Egret comes back soon!

Not sure where the OP of the video lives, but shad are an invasive species on the pacific coast in the US. Getting them out of the water is the best thing you could do for the environment.
Love your videos. My five year old is constantly asking if there is a new “Turtle show”. While watching this video he said you should name the bird ‘Ben’.

There's one thing I miss about living in Florida, and it was feeding the blue herons and egrets. I had one that lived in my backyard, he was very well fed and came around for years until he passed away on his favorite perch next to my pool.
AAMFL Turtles Same here! I might get a pet turtle in the spring or summer! And also the turtles in the video are “Pond Sliders” sometimes called “Red Eared Sliders” “Red Eared Slider Turtles” “Red Eared Terrapins” and “Green Turtles”
I live next to a pond, (on our property) and every few years or so, the creek which is about 10 yards thick, it floods and all of the northern pike, and other fish swim into the forest since it’s filled with water. When it dries, the fish all go into the pond, they can’t get out. Then, a beautiful crane comes and eats all of the fish in the pond. I give my respects to that bird.
That Egret reminds me of me when I was in middle school. One day I saw I nice mechanical pencil on the ground so I stood up from my desk and slowly walked over to it and put my foot on top of it and started dragging it across the ground with my foot hoping to make it out of the desks area and around the corner but as Im doing it I hear some girl in the desk right next to me say “ummm what are you doing with my pencil?” I thought “oh no, this is so embarrassing” so I go “yeah I know, I was picking it up for you” and I handed back to her. It was so embarrassing lol.
These videos calm me down. Nice relaxing mindless diversion from life. Cool content. I never realized how much I enjoy seeing turtles eat. The egret is cool too. Keep feeding him. He adds a land aspect to the feeding. Adds more interest in the clips,not that Tank and Odie aren't already interesting of course!!!!
before he said that he had fed the egret several times before, I thought he had just seen it for the first time and was immediately like, "looks like we've got a new pet here" and then all i could think was of some random man or woman walking by the pond and just "looks like we've got a new pet here" and throws shad at them

Your bird is a Cattle Egret, they often hang out around herds of cattle. The cows stir up insects, which the egret eats. I think he looks very regal. Maybe his name should be The Regal Egret, haha!
