Hey chums,
This week I decided to stop trying to find a story and just tell one then weave it in.
So this week Tom finds out he might get kicked out of his band if he misses one more gig or rehearsal, I feel really bad for him, lets hope nothing gets in the way.
I play an old song from back in the day when I was in a semi-famous band.
Hannah has some rage, and goes to M&S.
I tell Tom why Hillary was so bad and Grayson gets his first proper bike and learns to ride it.
Oh yeah and Tom invites me on his Stag do which was really nice of him.

Sorry, I have to say this... I miss the silky montages. I used to be very inspired by the pure, magical moments you could create by just showing rain falling down a window, I think I miss the aesthetic of your videos. It was exactly the reason why i considered you as a very talented film maker. Now, I feel like it's slowly changing into "vlogging" or a weird show. But you have a real signature, a unique way of showing life in a very special way, please don't let that go away.

Personally I’m not a fan of the sketches. Of course I can imagine the “just unsubscribe” comments but I live for the real ness, and the family moments that still occur in the vlogs. I personally preferred when the vlogs had messages and stefs insight on life and the silkys and the beauty in every vlog. Just a normal small family filming their lives with lovely subliminal messages. That for me is what drew me to this channel.. but of course they are going to grow and change.

I’ve been a subscriber for a few years and look forward to every Sunday, but I have found myself skipping through the scripted sections because it’s a bit cringe. There’s too much awful scripted stuff on RU-vid these days and I’ve always loved watching you guys because you were so real ❤️ All the love

I definitely wouldn't want you to kill the comedy sketches completely, I do find them funny. But I think they work better in moderation and not every week so it doesn't feel like it taking over the whole video as much. I still love your channel and have done since Grayson was born, it's cool watching you try new things. And it's always going to be impossible to please everyone so you've got to do what you want. xx

I know you want to try out stuff Stef, and I do really like that genereally. However: You are naturally funny, i love to see the dynamic of your family and the beautiful shot and edited footage, that manages to catch the beauty of everyday life. The scripted parts are funny once and then, but to be honest as a very week thing, it gets kinda boring and strange. You have managed to tell a story within the vlogs beautifully within your normal family live just through focusing on one part of what was going one anyway. And that was what makes your vlogs so remarkable and unique and i feel like thats one of the qualities that made your vlogs stick out to me. So please don't lose that!

completely agree. It's great for him to experiment and do different things with the blogs, but I've had enough Tom and Stef sketches to last me for a while. The premise of the sketches are all about how they're passive aggressively competitive and that same joke just goes on and on and on and on. It's tiring. That said, I love the rest of the video. It was really well done as always, but I'm going to have to skip through the sketches.

My message to Stef I started watching your videos 3-years ago when I started dating my partner, she had a 9 month old baby as a 23 year old man at the time although I'd been around children for a few year thanks to friends it's safe to say I had no clue what I was doing, without a shadow of a doubt I genuinely believe watching your videos helped me become a better step father and made me believe I could do it. I drifted off watching in the last year until I had the news I was expecting a baby in May, my first port of call was your videos and coincidence had it you were expecting again, yet again your in site into the world of fatherhood has given me confidence to be better, your honestly and attitude to fatherhood is quite frankly inspirational to me. if I'm half the father you are I'd be ridiculously proud. I appreciate your content as well as you and Hannah more than you could ever realise. Thank you for giving me the confidence to be the step father and father I know I can be. Can't wait to start shenanigans of my own. Yours thankfully Josh.

Been a subscriber for years, watched every single video you guys have posted on here, but wish the vlogs were as unplanned and as fun as they used to be. Not a huge fan of this whole sit-com thing you guys have going on now, I find myself skipping those parts and then not being left with much else to watch. Will still support you guys, but just wanted to give you my two cents.

I feel like these scripted bits would be a great watch if shown separately, as single videos! Those are funny, but there are a very different emmm vlog genre to your 'normal' vlogs, if that makes sense? Like, if you go to a movie theater to see a horror film, but there are suddenly these bits of melodrama popping up unexpectedly. You might enjoy melodrama, but some other time - you are there for the horror. I guess what I'm saying is that as a viewer I can't always change my genre expectations fast enough - from the sweet & simple moments with the cutest baby to scripted comedy, which can take me out of the story. (or in time you might find a way of sewing those sketches into the story more organically, idk)

I don’t want to write anything negative because I absolutely love love love your videos and I love that you always change and try different things but the talking parts between Steff and Tom was just too much this week, it felt like there was barely any other content. I guess I love your videos for their honestness and real lifeness (not a word haha) so having scripted stuff seems very fake and jarring to me. Love you all though xxxx

Can we keep the chats with Gracie, he’s such a smart and funny little guy and I love when you get him thinking about deep topics and hearing the head of a care free 4year old. I’m with the majority I reckon and not fussed on the tom bits... sorry! I always love your silky, rain pattering on the balcony style clips. Love watching you and the family but I’m not keen on the new scripted element. I find myself skipping past those parts. I’m not being horrible, it’s constructive criticism...might do well if you had a separate channel for it. I love your creative mind with the videography and your passion and love seeing you Hannah and the kiddies. I respect that this is something you want to do as well as an artist. People may say don’t watch then, but I want to watch because I simply enjoy your family life as I’m a family girl myself and love the creativity of the sponsored videos you create. I’ll check out Hannahs Channel too ( didn’t know she had one) 🙂x

I love how your videos have evolved over time (and are constantly evolving) to document whatever is going on in your busy lives at the present moment. It's nice to have a new surprise each time we click on your videos! I think the new format is great and I look forward to watching it evolve and change as each week goes by. We've also booked a little weekend trip to Bath next week, so I'm looking forward to visiting lots of the beautiful city you capture so well. I'll be vlogging it too, albeit less silkily (is that a word?!) as you guys do! Thanks again for always giving us something snazzy & new!

The scripted bits are a bit cringe, some liners work well but overall not digging. but great video. I understand as creators you have to evolve and try new things to keep it fresh and exciting for you guys, so I'm cool :) Rufus is just THE CUTEST.

I think the reason so many of us don't really care for the scripted bits (even though they are funny!) is that they feel kind of jarringly out of place. When you sit down to watch a vlog, you expect someones real life, not a tv show. The scripted bits kind of make you doubt the rest of it, somehow. My vote would be just a small bit of the scripted and more of your real life. I love getting a peek into your family - that's why I've been watching for years now. All the best to you! x

Hannah’s chats and Steph’s breakfast convos with Grayson will always be my favorite parts of the vlog but every week I’m so impressed with how far the editing has come and how you’ve continued to evolve creatively. I could live without the scripted bits but I’m along for the ride and I know you’ll continue to play around with new ideas and that’s really refreshing to see in a family vlog.

hello, usually-silent-viewer here. ;) love the quality of your videos and the content. I have been keeping up with you for years now and it's awesome to see how the channel has evolved. however, I gotta say that I am not a big fan of those scripted conversations. I mean, I'll still watch your videos, cause all the other parts are amazing, but tbh I just want to skip those bits of scripted odd conversation. I guess people have different opinions on this. Curious what else is gonna happen in the future though. :) oh and your two boys are gorgeous! :)

I just watched this week's video and truly I love the scripted parts with you and Tom I definitely don't think you should get rid of them! I'm also excited to see where the story goes :p maybe if you want to pare them back a little, you just do one segment in each video but then we can still follow the story along! I think it's wonderful that you listen to your audience, but at the same time this is your channel and your creativity so at some point you just need to run with what you want to create! Some new people may come, some older viewers may fall out a little - but it is through risk that you grow! 💛

Plus, I've been loving 'The Stef & Tom show' these days (yeah, I wrote Stef's name first so that he doesn't get jealous). I really enjoy watching your vlogs, I consider them short films because the editing and filming is A-MA-ZING! I appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos, as well as your desire to 'tell a story, Stef. However, I find myself skipping through the skits between you and Tom. I miss the family time, raw and organic moments with the kids and the silky montages! I know you make these videos for yourselves and you'll just tell those of us with an opinion to 'unsubscribe' but it seems a shame when we are the loyal viewers who have been there since day 1. I've been watching since G was a baby and I'm finding myself less and less interested...Which saddens me because you're so talented and your family is incredible.
