I had a friend who had one of these who worked for one of those "Three Letter Agencies, which gave him a special made silencer. Not a bad gun but very rare ammo types. As to how I know that he worked for the government you might ask? Well, if your friend goes out with a pristine automobile at night and comes back with it shot all full of holes in a major city, yet there is absolutely no media coverage, what else can you think? As for which agency, I did not know nor ask, the answers to these kinds of questions tend to get you hurt
Funny thing is they didn’t have to this gun, they could’ve had FN’s High Power. For some reason or another, they decided not to have it even though they requested FN to make them a semi automatic handgun.
The Germans did indeed take the Hi-Power into service (can't remember the German designation offhand) - it was not used in great numbers compared to the Luger and P-38.
