It’s been 45 days since she told me she needed space. My anxious attachment definitely makes it difficult. The panic and fear is awful. I almost broke NC last night as I started writing out my thoughts I was going to say to her. I was really struggling but remembered what I need to do. Stay in NC and keep working on me. I love her and her daughter so much. This sucks 😢

Today is exactly 3 months from when I started NC. I let him sit down with his decision. I treated him very well and he “lost spark”. Nice. His loss!

Life lesson: Get a cat before breaking up

My ex came back after a year and was still super distant. I expressed my concern about feeling like I don’t matter to him. We agreed to discuss what is a healthy balance for us to see each other on a consistent basis the next day. Spoke to me that morning. Then ghosted me again that evening. We never even got to talk things through. He even expressed he’s scared if he makes a mistake I would leave and I tried to reassure him and he still left. Make it make sense. He’s a DA and I’m an FA.

So true continue to work on yourself. As a retired psychotherapist; we don't take people for granted. When money is a substitute for power and relationship.

I kid you not, just as I was listening to this video, I logged into Facebook to see that my ex has commented on a pic I posted 3 weeks ago. Been in no contact for three weeks and radio silent on social for nearly as long.

He broke up in 2017, i have been working on myself since. SInce i move to a new city in 2021, I have not heard from him, it is okay. I am great, better than ever in my life. Have been working hard a year, to be able to start my education. Last week i started the education. I am running to keep my body and mind fit. DO not know if i will ever hear from him, that is fine. I am in a wondefull place in my life

I agree ultimatums don't work or are not good but there's only 1 time an ultimatum is good and that's If you caught em in a massive lie. They come back and want to rekindle things and you end up agreeing. You give them the ultimatum and you let em know if they do it again, you're gone for good.

She got really lucky cuz she's dealing with an avoidant dude rather than dudette. At the end of the day, he's still a guy...and despite whatever physical prowess and emotionally distant facade, still the weaker sex, especially in this regard.

Well, I hope you're right, Craig, because my ex wanted to have at the beginning 3 months, than 6 months to better his finances (although he doesn't need to, he got manipulated from his father who hates me) and... to understand if he wanted to stay with me... Long story short, I waited 2 months and then put boundary, saying that usually, if you really love someone, you don't need 6 months to understand it. We got back and then he dumped me after a week, because his parents were disappointed with his decision. Than we argued and I insulted him, calling him backboneless and his parents monsters. (Well, they mistreated me during the relationship in front of him, and he never stood up to defend me). He blocked me everywhere and have no contact since May 2023. We loved Star Wars and I feel like Padme. But I don't think he will ever reach out.

I was with my ex for 7 years. And 6 weeks ago she came home from work and decided to end our relationship. I did the usual begging and pleading which pushed her further away, she then blocked me on everything because of my actions. The last time we spoke she said if I ever see you in the street I will say hello. But we've had 6 weeks of no contact and heard nothing. We are now just strangers with memories. Just got to move on now because she's gone that cold I can never ever see her returning.

Hey Craig. Hope you and Vicky are doing well these days. Quick question: Could you do a video on how you should proceed after first contact? My ex contacted me after 3 months of no contact and we had a 20min long phone conversation (we were in an LDR, so I can't just meet her in person out of the blue) but now she's been silent for 3 days and I haven't reached out. Should I stay in NC and wait for her to contact me again?

I have a question : after he dumped me, he was really frustrated with my persistence and blocked me everywhere, but he also has reasons to maybe believe I wouldn’t forgive him. I was always the one reaching out first in our relationship. The last conversation we had I used a fake account to talk to him. It’s been 5 months and I am doing better. Should I try to reach out to him from a different account if he hasn’t blocked me? He may never unblock me, and I am okay if we are never together. But I would like to talk to him to become more civil. I’m anxious-preoccupied, and he’s dismissive avoidant

Sometimes you have to give ultimatums to your partner to wake them up. They don’t always work or we still do the same things, but we sometimes have to go wake them up. Just pick the right ones and be careful.

I broke no contact. It didn't go well @ all. I made a complete fool out of myself even after doing so good & getting some closer after the last time I spent with him. Now I'm upset with myself.
