I totally agree that most of this can be thrifted. Just sprinkling in some high quality, new pieces makes it look polished without spending $$$ on name brand items that are worse quality than thrifted versions. Please do part 2 of thrifted versions of these outfits!!
I love your style! I think they did really good on actually matching you with outfits that are super cute, but honestly shocked at the price.....please thrift these!
I wish you had focused more on how well the stylist had fit the brief with regards to your style/pinterest board and less on the price on the items when you say that you gave them incorrect pricing and that you don't need anything for your closet

I think the reason why linking to depop/ebay wouldn't work for these kind of services is because once that 1 piece is gone, it's gone. However, they could link to couple different places, maybe? I don't know. The looks would look so good on you!!!! I'd really like to see their thrifted versions!!!
I live in New Zealand and it’s sooo expensive to buy things like adidas trackpants and Levi’s denim secondhand, like $100 at the thrift stores, and you’d be very lucky to see them at the op shops! So interesting you can get secondhand clothes so much cheaper in the US. Would love to see you thrift these outfits! I feel like they got your style pretty well except for that last one
I bought their 10 outfit package last year and found it pretty helpful. Being really specific with stuff I don't like helped filter recommendations as well as specifying no fast fashion. Like you, I am someone who enjoys aimlessly scrolling for clothes both retail and secondhand so I purchased the package to see someone else's perspective of elevating my wardrobe. I never intended to buy every recommendation but rather get inspo, and buy a couple items. I did think that their outfits for me were pretty spot on so I would repurchase either for myself or for others.
I love this!!! It was 100% my fault not specifying better, I honestly didn’t realize I was so picky. I just placed another order and really thought this time about what I do & don’t like. Even that was helpful for myself!
Some of the pieces are crazy expensive for what they are, but wearing an outfit that is around 400 usd is not out of this world these days sadly (IF! you have enough disposable income of course), especially if you don’t like or you don’t have time for thrifting. Anyway, I think they sent you some cool outfits! :D It would be great to see you style these outfits for cheaper! I’ve seen Alexa Sunshine try a thrifted box with outfits that were made following her pinterest board! Maybe that’s something that could work for you 😁 a mix between a stylist and a mystery box hehe
Why is Mango selling loafers for more than 100 dollars? IDK how it is in the US but Mango to me and most people around me is in the same level as Zara, it's just fast fashion. Maybe the loafers are very good quality, IDK. I'm surprised at some of the fast fashion prices nowadays. They're so much more expensive than when I used to shop at them years ago, and I know that inflation has a part in that, but still. I do hope those more expensive fast fashion items are better made.
Because of this video I bought the ten package and wow.... Was I disappointed. I asked them to use as many ethical/sustainable brands as they could and in the end most of the pieces were from Mango, H&M and Zara LOL One piece was a very shady (possibly drop ship) Amazon purse. But what really got me was that one of the outfits they "made" for me was a 1:1 copy of the way a dress they linked to was styled in the H&M website! When I expressed my disappointed, they offered to redo two outfits free of charge, which is better than nothing, I guess? I expected them to just ignore me lol I think it's a hit-or-miss service and highly dependent on which stylist you get matched to.
I am a little confused by you saying that you never spend so much on one piece, or never spend around this amount of money on clothes, when each of your peachyden pieces are over $100 and a lot of the sneakers/other shoes you have are around that price as well...maybe some of these were sent or gifted to you but they were still new pieces when you got them so it seems a little misleading to say that you never wear clothes that expensive. Maybe I'm off and if so please correct me? I always love your videos and I think you're a big sweetie pie, and I do see you acknowledging in the comments that you were a bit of a grumpus this day haha but I guess just pointing this out for anyone who has splurged on clothes occasionally and feeling taken aback watching you put that kind of spending on blast a lil 😅
You’re 1000% right, I was going to say I don’t mean shoes, because I often spend over on them! I guess I was looking at these items knowing I wouldn’t wear them often and they’d be a waste of money- not because they’re not cute, but because I already have something similar in my closet! Again just another reason these style guides aren’t for me, there for someone who needs help shopping (I need help NOT shopping.) Fashivly did amazing and I was being a brat
Ok I thought about this more and the (clothing) items I spend more on are normally small businesses/small batch. I just don’t LOVE (for myself) spending that much on fast fashion. That’s why I even said I loved the Etsy item they linked!!!

All new vs. Thirft chic! You should buy one outfit (your favorite!) and try to thrift the same also. I do think there is a difference sometimes in new things - they can look more polished. Even the track pants adapted their fit over time and can look more modern in shape etc... but also vice versa. I would love a comparison in fit and quality of one outfit.
yes, the outfits are VERY expensive, i very much agree on that but the thing with online thrifting/second hand is that the pieces are one of a kind, and so if they are sold in the process of "styling" they are gone forever and it is much easier to link more mainstream sites to just grab inspo from in a guide. it's not making you buy the pieces, just acting as a pinterest board, if you will. i agree that spending 4-500$ on an outfit is not worth it especially when 70% of the pieces are common as heck. so i would seeing love you thrifting them, but maybe you should buy the shirt or the beaded bag!! they are so cute and match you sooo well!!
there's some instagram and depop girlies who have thrifted bundles that you can shop! kind of reminiscent of internet girl's bundles for much cheaper because they're thrifted pieces.

Love! Silver has been trending since 2020, so it’s been around and super popular for a minute already. I’m not sure if it’s here to stay though, like anything if you love it and know you will after the trend don’t listen to me and just wear it! But I do think if it’s something you decide to partake in it will 10000% come back into “trendiness” down the line🤍

I was excited for this video, but the negativity made it really hard to watch. I think there would be a way to communicate what the 'thrifted option' would be for the rec's, vs continuously complaining. :/ Will continue to watch your videos, but did want to give some feedback that it came off (to me at least) negative.
I’m sorry I came across that way!!! I almost tossed the whole video tbh, but I was excited about this service and wanted to share. I just don’t want anyone to make the mistake I did regarding pricing. Also, I love this service, but I don’t think I’m the target audience for it. I love browsing online stores, thrifting in real life, & just playing with my clothes in general! I think I was disappointed because I was expecting something groundbreaking but I gave someone an impossible task. I want to buy this service for a friend (or even a subscriber, just someone who’s whole life isn’t clothes) and get their opinion!!!!

I wouldn't have even realized that I could get similar items at a lower pricepoint, or better-yet, pre-loved.. I don't have much thrifting experience so I will stay tuned to your channel to learn more of how to build my closet more sustainably.
I actually think that Laini made an effort to be as positive as possible here. I appreciate when someone shares “negative” opinions in a review because it’s more genuine and if anyone was thinking about using this service it might help them decide if they want to go forward. Overly positive reviews aren’t as helpful in my opinion. We don’t always have to be positive :)
