Honestly, I liked the shorter video, as much as I love apex, im not the biggest fan of gameplay videos, but I do love learning how the pros play, and this video is perfect for learning the tips, and then seeing them applied in game lol at least for me, this is a perfect video haha (tho the more tips the better 😂)
alot of this information is really interesting! instead of targeting raw mechanics like aim or movement etc it's really about his game knowledge through positioning. How does your positioning alter what your enemy and what you see. If you're in a tight corridor change what your opponent sees aka leave the tiny corridor. Move back to turn a ledge/window into a head glitch. match the velocity of your opponent to "slow them down"
00:00 - Intro. 00:20 - Peeking back. Don't stand on the edge. 01:58 - Mirroring. Positioning. 03:48 - Avoid doors and small areas. 07:08 - One more challenge.
Watching pro players on my team play, during gameplay and also spectating them I learn a lot from it because you can also teach yourself new things in the moment without having to pay someone to teach you
The second tip is also good for one clipping at range. By strafing you eliminate (partially) horizontal recoil so you just drag down and to the "corner" away from your movement. thank you taxi :)
Thanx for the video ) I would love to see what tips hiswattson could offer to win more 1v1 fights. Like, what strafing methods (short, medium, with or without crouching etc.) are better/more effective and so on.
3rd tip is very good, and called the 'fatal funnel'. even without dodging being a concern your putting yourself on a pedastal for any shooter by lingering around a door
Funny part is most of what pros preach is actually what comes naturally by implying logic and sense over time.. depending on the game u play..thats being said..i only apply this at ranked most of the time though 😜 i play gun blazing...yet thats. Avery helpful video even i learned few things as well
For tip 3 about pipes etc it changed if there are mutiple teams in tight circle and l players are skilled. You can actually rely on the fact that team 3 can shoot team 2 if team 2 tried to shoot me from this or that angle etc
in most cases a pipe is just a bad idea, only really good if you have no other cover, for example if you get pinched between 2 teams and the only safe spot is within that pipe. but then you want to be looking into escaping that pipe ASAP, since you only got 2 exits, meanwhile if any of the 2 teams pinching you come closer, they can easily either toss nades into the pipe or just literally use any weapon and spray into the middel of it and hitting 99% of their shots, melting you and your team near instant. granted, not many pipes you can enter in Apex, but pipes are just in general a really bad idea, it's the same as being stuck in a small corridor with an enemy on the door. you got 2 exits, to the door and contest it, or back up and go around the corner taking their advantage away. if you gotta push through a corridor and an enemy team is there, atleast contest the door near instant, just sit infront of it. (bonus if your team can capatalize off that, a lot of enemies want to open that door and will do near anything to do that) but at the same time, if you can't get past that door and you know it, just stay away, since the enemies teammates can flank you and just pinch you in a corridor, the only way out being a wraith tactical.
A question!if he can go diamond and play well(im talking about kandy)then can't i,i play this game since s1 and i play like silvers!can anyone give me some tips cuz if i don't improve, maybe i will just quit apex!
The reason why I am always in the top 3 in matches. The reason why my teammates die immediately once they touch the ground is because they follow no rules, and the reason they insult and exit is because they think I am stupid.
K, so I like HisWattson and tips 1 and 3 make sense to me. However on tip 2, when you mirror your opponents movement, doesn't that also make it easier for your opponent to shoot you as well? Would that always be a good idea?
its a matter of perspective. U already know why u mirror your enemys movement but the enemy still needs to figure that one out. If the enemy isnt a total good player it might caught him off guard. Strafing isnt really that simple because of factors like gun, how much cover, legend, hitbox, health, enviroment etc. my point is, strafing to make urself advantage and get a easier time to hit ur shots can change drastically. Sometimes mirroring ur enemys movement can be a bad idea. For exsample u might expose urself to another angle and get shot. I can go on but u get the point. Theres more to strafing and therefore has a relative high skill ceiling and requires knowledge.
User @@astraha. explanation is good. It's basically the equivalent of "Shooting first". You and your enemy can both do it, but the one shooting first is going to be ahead
@@mr_tete Because its Apex, shooting first doesnt necessary mean its a win, u are ahead but it depends on how far ahead u are to make it less winable. The first few bullets from a spitfire wont make a difference when I can 1 mag with a r99. Also consider the range of the fight, obiviously we assume its all close range, so no worries but its still something to consider. However, weapons and all that stuff aside. Strafing and the psychology behind it when done right in front of an enemy is a very skillful thing. Truly impressive. So many things so consider and then doing a good strafe to avoid taking too much damage and putting urself into an advantagous position is a incredible thing to do.
@@astraha. what I'm trying to say is this. The whole point of the mirroring is so that you can can better hit/shoot your opponent without missing. Mirroring slows down their movement(hence the comet example Hiswatson) gave. And you want to have more accuracy and consistency because that's what matters in a gunfight. With all things being constant, like Skill level, Armor, equipment, etc. The one who employ the strategy to give oneself an advantage(in this case mirroring) is going to win. Now you're not completely wrong. You can mirror to put yourself at a disadvantage. But that's a whole another issue borne out of very specific scenario which should not be mentioned in debates such as this.
I don't know how much he charges, but I bet he makes a ton from his coaching! There isnt a single amateur - professional player that wouldn't want him as a coach! Even just for a few lessons!
he charged $100 an hour which isn’t too much considering his amount of experience! he takes a few sessions a week and just does it because he enjoys helping people, truly a W human being
all tips seems obvious but to apply them in game is challenging.. i suck at shooter but first tip i do unconsciously in every single first person games even skyrim with the bow xD
homie turned three different concepts into headglitching for every single on (except mby 2, but the headglitch was what actually made the difference there)
3 very basic tips, theres a lot more to peeking, timings, even choice of gun in a 1v1 to start and what to swap to. when change mags instead of swapping etc
This has nothing to do with this video, but I just want your feedback for a crypto rework They should make it like when you’re inside of your drone and use your EMP that will stay the same but if you’re not inside your drone like if it’s put away or just sitting in the sky, you can use the EMP on crypto so wherever crypto is the EMP will just go around him in a circle like how it is with the drone and the EMP well not deal damage to him or to his teammates and it won’t stun him or his teammates but besides that the EMP will stay the same like breaking traps and all that stuff but something that I would add for the EMP is anyone who gets hit by it would get scanned for 10 or 5 seconds weather if its crypto who made the EMP or the drone but stuff that I would add to make the drone better is instead of the drone only seeing 30 meters it should see 75 meters and if the drone dies it shouldn’t take 40 seconds for it to come back instead It should be 20 seconds and there should be a self destruct for the drone, so if you’re flying it and you fly it into a team and they shoot it and it blows up like a frag grenade so they have to decide to leave it, or take as much damage as a frag grenade and right when it breaks it explodes and again 20 seconds to get it back if you like this idea for a crypto rework can you please share it I wanna make this a rework for crypto
I don't like the frag grenade part. Crypto mains would just use it and follow after them till someone shoots it making it explode. But the following you around somewhat like echo and detonating EMP without causing dmg to crypto seems good
