Had one of these on my C6 and now my C7…I bought them both used for $100 each on the corvette forums. These things make the car so much more fun…it is unbelievable how laggy the stock throttle response is.

Just got one of these on my Ram. I was a bit skeptical like most but I really like it. I think the problem is most people don’t understand how it actually works. They think you can just push the pedal faster or more. Once you drive a vehicle you can really tell the difference. I have mine set on city plus 2 and it’s perfect. Would never own a vehicle without one now.

I put one in my jeep wrangler, completely changed the drive. It was so sluggish prior now it feels so much more smooth

i've had my 2008 corvette for a month and it's disappointing how wimpy it is under light throttle. But a real BEAST under heavy throttle.

Did not remove seat. Did not permanently mount it as I was not sure where I wanted it. It was not sticking so it’s now under the dash and I use the app to control it.

Lol sport+ in general is way too much for daily driving. Sport +4 is my go to.

It increases throttle sensitivity so if your fingers are quick to match the speed of the throttle then yes.

They only increase throttle sensitivity but I’m telling you, once you drive with a PC, you’ll never want to drive stock again.

Do you have a video where you don’t accelerate with it and you just sit at a stand still and show how fast it increases the revs? You could put a camera behind your car or pointed at the dash put it in each mode and show us the comparison while sitting in neutral and revving your car. That’s really what I want to know is how much faster it makes the revs climb?

Hey, I installed a peddle commander on my 2008 C6 (automatic) and WOW!! BUT, I started getting check engine lights, so I removed it. Have you had any issues with your PC??

I never had an issue with mine when I had my C6. Try unplugging it and then plug it back in. Sometimes it take a couple tries for the computer to stop recognizing it.

The directions advise only engaging the choices (settings) in park only. Do not do it on the fly. “The engine light will come on”

The Sport Plus levels are all very touchy to me. They are probably better for the track. I personally like the Sport +1 or +2 levels.

True, but I custom tune may only give you one option. The PC gives you many options to adjust to your liking. Plus, if your car is newer, you may void your warranty with custom tunes.

I don’t think hats the right way to do it. As I understand it will send steeper throttle signals to fool the throttle program, but then that makes no difference when you floor the pedal, as it’s already sending max amount, and frankly that is the time that the delay really stinks. I used to deal with it by manually downshifting the automatic before accelerating. I’m not really sure the throttle delay is significant. For some reason nobody had noticed it for the first 10 years. Imo for automatics it really is just the problem it takes 1 full second before it shifts after flooring it. In any case for c5 the only way seems to be resetting PCM tables with a tuner, that would also be the right way to go about it.

Hmm 🤔 I don’t remember a bolt. The harness is usually has a clip that you have to lift up on a little plastic clip to unlock the harness and then it should just unplug.

MATT!! BRUH!! Installed the device today. OMG! I tried Sports ++4!! CRAZY! Will use Sport +3. So much fun to drive now. Will watch the fuel consumption though. Thanks for the video and recommendations! 👍🏽

Ha ha I told you. Sport+ +4 is insane. Glad you like it. I know some people think it’s all a placebo effect but even so, it makes driving so much more fun. I have one in all my vehicles lol. Drive safe.

@@DieselLegiance Totally insane, I drove my C6 today to work, then immediately installed it, put in on the road Sports++4, definitely not a placebo. Instant boost. I then put it back to the eco option +1, drag. Even on Sports +3 must drive safe. Thanks bro!

Yes, stock with only a pedal commander for now. Eventually I want to upgrade the intake, headers, and exhaust.

There is no way the pedal commander changes the performance figures "by several tenths". It just changes how touchy or forgiving the pedal response is.

That’s a great question I didn’t test that. I’ll have to check if there is a difference. I don’t think there would be any difference though. You’re still using the throttle for faster response. The paddle shifts are just allowing you to shift through the gears manually. You’re still using the throttle so I would assume it would make everything more responsive.

I honestly don’t know as I never took it to the track to get timed but I assume it may be possible. If you can get into a higher rpm range a fraction of a second faster because there is no longer a (or at least reduced) delay, it may be possible? If it is, I don’t think it’s much or even majority noticeable but it does make driving much more fun.

It works by telling the throttle body to open more than your foot, say your at 50% on your foot it put the throttle body at 70%, you could just give it more on the floor and be the same thing, when you get around 80% it will open TB to 99% so you could save 250 by just controlling your foot more.

I have a 08 Vette. On the highway, floored it, and the delay on the C6 is laughable. It has nothing to do with foot control it has everything to do with the electronics of the car.

@@DieselLegiance I watched RPM try to tune a couple of cars with it installed and they were having issues tuning it. They had to pull it out because it was throwing off the throttle position and stuff. If you get ur car properly tuned it is way better than you will get with the PC.

Definitely a possible issue but typically if you’re planning on getting other modifications such as a new exhaust, new headers, cool air intake, etc., You’re better off waiting to get the tune done until after you’ve upgraded all of those modifications which could be very expensive. I am just recommending that upfront if you’re limited on funds and you want to get a fast fun experience, the PC is the way to go.

It does not increase horsepower. It allows you to adjust the throttle sensitivity to your specific liking. If you adjust the sensitivity to its highest level you barely touch the pedal and you will take off instantly like if you had the pedal floored to the ground. It’s something you have to experience in order to get a better idea on how it feels. It just makes it more fun as you get instant throttle response.

Adjusting the settings is incredibly easy with just a couple clicks of a button. Once you set a Pedal Commander where you want it you never have to touch it again.

350 usd for this piece of shit??? Please friends, get your cars professionally tuned instead, you will get real performance increase from changes to timing and fuel tables and sharper throttle response from an actual modification to the ECU, not this piggy back bs.

Not “everyone” needs or wants to have their car professionally tuned as for 1 it costs a lot more money, 2 it can void your warranty, 3 if not done properly it can cause other damage, and 4 the Pedal Commander can usually be purchased around $250 after discounts. I do agree a professional tune is best for top overall performance, but again, it’s not for everyone. This mod is more for those who want better throttle response without getting into major computer upgrades.

@@DieselLegiance if you own a c6 corvette, you can afford the tune. And those are no longer under warranty anyway. Please don't advertise this junk. If you go to a reputable shop, that has tuned 100s of LS engines, it is nothing major or risky, just a guy with a laptop and a dyno, takes an hour or two and you got 10X more for your money. Nothing gets upgraded per se, the tuner will make some adjustments to the ECU tables to optimize performance, it's all software. In fact, a good shop will have already a dialed in base map for the car and will just make a few adjustments based on how the car behaves.

I understand and I do agree. But there are many people out there that don’t want to go that far in regards to a custom tune and just want their Sunday Corvette drive to be more fun. It does do a good job adjusting the throttle response and it is fun. For those who want more, they can certainly go the full tune route. Drive safe 👊🏼
